It seems to me that Roy wasn't ever looking for the big spotlight. He kept his business on the down low, and enjoyed the thrill he got from that. He's, by far, the greatest guitar player ever.
I've always considered Roy Clark to be one of the if not the best guitar players to ever live. Eddie Van Halen took lessons from Roy and bowed at his feet. Ted Nugent also. He can pick up an electric guitar and play Rock solos as good as anybody. He's was a bad bad man. A lot of younger people think he's just a country hick. Guitar player of the year three times....
