I'm so bored of flying the 777 now lol, flown it way too often. Last time I flew on a a340 I was even 10yr old miss it

777s almost always make a billowing crackling sort of sound. It's audible in almost all 777 interior videos.

I have noticed that, it's interesting. Thx for watching =)

That was a fairly soft landing with a decent amount of flap. Earlier this year i experienced Gatwick/St Lucia/Tobago with the same airline, and both landings did not have very much more than take off flap for landing, which made on two occasions for very heavy touchdowns. Is this a money saving exercise ?

Nice to see a recent BA 777 video to BGI. I've been loads of times to see family. I last went in August 2020, and at the same time that month was made redundant from BA at LHR as a Ramp Agent so unfortunately never got the chance to work this flight as they hadn't introduced the 255 yet at the time. Was this flight busy as usual? Considering how much more awkward it is to travel now with more requirements and restrictions. Did you need to pay for a hotel to isolate despite having all requirements sorted?

What was the premium economy meal service like on this flight?

It was very good despite they ran out of the meat option which was lamb hot pot which I wouldn't have eaten anyway 😅. Passengers in premium economy were then offered chicken from World Taveller as a result of that for a meat option.
I opted for the mushroom pasta which was fabulous in my opinion. Thx for watching and commenting btw 😊

Why do they fly 777 from london too much fuel burn no? I would think a 757 or 767 or Airbus would be more economical

British airways no longer operates the 757 or 767 unfortunately 😕, correct me if I'm wrong, but despite the 777 being larger I'm sure it must be more fuel efficient compared to the other two especially the 757.
Also the 757 would need to be the larger variant as this route is typically full most of the time so the 757-300 wouldn't have the range to make the journey from London and the 767 could make the leg, but come on who would trade up those roaring GE90's over those whining cf6's/pw4000's 😅
Also apart from the a380 and 350 ba doesn't have any other longhaul Airbus Aircraft in its fleet and those two are typically too large for this route as its not busy enough for them 24/7 to warrant using such larger Aircraft.

im a pilot myself. a landing doesnt take 33 minutes. final then short final approach is a landing. anything before that is a descent. the video should start from 27:00. anything before that is fluff. video should be 6 min 14 sec

I say full landing because I included the decent, line up with runway etc. I chose to have the video longer so people who enjoy the descent can get to see it and it was a scenic approach into bgi that day so i wanted to capture everything, but thanks for the info

@@travelswiththewade I like it like that. No need for some know it all guy to tell you to post less. Makes no sense. Why wouldn’t you want to see the descent
