My brother in Christ, more artists and critics should do what you do: If you see missed potential, you don't have make a whole ass video essay series, you can just make videos talking about your fanfiction that is what could've been. I've always hated the idea of "wasted" and "missed" potential, because I feel any kinda potential can still be used for anything. So seeing you make your own version of She-zow is fucking inspiring and I wish more artists and critics did their own versions of media they thought could've been better by just making videos talking about them
Funny thing is I ain’t even a critic! I’m just a writer! And you are totally right, wasted potential are a gold mine for me! Plot holes too! If you hop over to the second chapter deep dive you’ll see how I utilized a tiny little detail to become an entire plot for a chapter. And you are so right, I wish that more people did what I do! It’s so fun and there are so many great storytellers out there! Omg thank you for this comment! This is the first fic I’ve ever posted about in Ernest and it’s so amazing to watch so many people flock to it and enjoy it so much!
I've already said this (I think), but the best part about this story for me is that the pacing is slower without ever being boring.

Thank you so much! I just threw this sprite design together but I’m glad you like it! The weird half is literally just colour swapped and changed around to look more appealing. I’m glad you enjoy the videos! I love sharing my thoughts and apparently others seem to enjoy it too
Niice! I'm loving the videos!! I think if you want to, it'd be fun to have audio books of your fic, but i like reading better XD but your voice is soothing so i think the oudio book would be nice either way

but I ADORE the part where gal and maizy see eachother again and guy is like “wait, don’t all girls do that?” and he just spirals about how he feels about maz 😭
@@auradella HA HA! I love that part so much but not a lot of people talk about it. And then the very next chapter he tries to delude himself into beliving girls platonically kiss eachother so he doesn’t have to think about the possibility of being gay

Nice take on a SheZow revival! I run a SheZow-themed Discord server and I tend to bring up my ideas for what my ideal SheZow continuation (as in continuing from where DudePow Returns left off)would be like.
That’s so cool! I’d love to hear some of those ideas!

Anyways:
-There will be an episode taking place in the DudePow universe where Gal gets sick and Guy/SheZow has to fill in for her. It will show some of the villains in the DudePow universe in addition to Grilla.
-Episode where Guy, Maz, and Kelly get trapped into some RPG video game and the final boss is Count Pussenbite.
-Season Finale: Wanda discovers that Guy is SheZow, however after realizing how much being SheZow means to Guy, she decides to not tell anyone else and she joins Team SheZow (probably as the head of Public Relations). And Guy and Wanda start dating (I still respect those who ship Guy and Maz but personally I think Wanda is a better fit for Guy).

Those are all really cool ideas! I love getting to see more of Gal’s world and that reason sounds so onbrand for the show. I’m imagining Kelli calling him all: please help, she’s delirious and coughing up bubbles (remember what happens when SheZow get’s sick?lol)
I like that idea with Wanda. Wanda never piqued my attention but thanks for reminding me that I should probably do something with her in the future. And absolutely respect to people with different ships than me. Honestly I don’t really ship cannon Guy and Maz either, my versions are kinda different people lol.

And I forgot to tell ya about my idea for the last scene for that episode where Gal gets sick. So basically, the next day Gal feels all better but Guy gets sick, meaning that DudePow has to fill in for SheZow.

I’ll try to get the first chapter out and lower my standerds a bit to try and do more but it is dry demanding. I’ll do my best!
Maz is best boi. While Kelly is one of my favorite character, Maz is probably equal to her in my heart, dont get me wrong I like Guy but i like Maz and Kelly alil more. Honestly I see Kelly as a sort of mentor character while Maz is a silly loyal friend/eventual love interest
I try to make Guy as interesting and Likable as possible but there’s just something about secondary characters that aren’t quite the main character that hit different. Maybe it’s because they’re what make the main character special. Their relationships with the ones closest to them are what really tell you about their character. An then sometimes there’s just something about them. Maz has the least development and plot of the main cast but he’s still a fan favorite. After all the beatings that Guy takes from the world it’s always nice to see that Maz is there to cheer him on and fight by his side. When writing bot him and Kelly I took their core traits and amplified them. Kelly was meant to be a mentor to Guy but she didn’t do a lot of it in the show. So I amped that up and made her more protective and caring while maintaining her sass and deadpan attitude. Same thing with Maz. He was suposed to be the loyal friend so I pushed that feature to make him the healthiest constant in Guy’s life.
@@demisketch1840 trust me when I say me not liking Guy as much as Maz or Kelly has nothing to do w the writing of his character, I find him really engaging to see and I definitely do love his character, especially in the later chapters, everything he does and say both as Guy and as SheZow makes sense for his character. My favorite scene w Guy is him recognizing that, yea, he's a guy who gets to be SheZow (superheroine who's seen as the epitome of female strength in a largely male climate) shouldn't take part in a beauty pageant, because, at least in his eyes, it's supposed to be for girls. The reason I like Kelly and Maz more is more because of personal things, I like goofy guys (heck I'm dating a pretty silly guy myself) and I like strong, sassy and passionate people who, while definitely not flawless, are working to be a better them than they are currently. Plus, like I said I still definitely like Guy (he's literally my 3rd favorite character so far and only Maz/Kelly are in front of him, both of who switch when it comes to being my number 1 favorite in this). Also I think I've said this in another comment but Guy spiraling after finding out Gal and Maizy are dating is my favorite Guy scene (probably my favorite in general) w the glamagedon one being a hot second after this one
@@pipzu Oh I didn’t interpret it as that, don’t worry! Though I am glad to know that I’ve made an engaging protagonist as well. And OMG that scene! No one ever talks about that scene but I am so proud of it! And of course everyone loves the spiraling scene as well, lol. We love to see that boy question is identity.
@demisketch1840 You should be proud of it. It's a scene that I think cleverly portrays both Guys maturity when it comes to SheZow and his personal growth in the story.

I have one other show in mind that I’ve also written a fic about but that’s pretty much it. On the other hand, I’ve also done more conceptual rewrites for South Park and Monster High (I know, not obscure but still) just I don’t have a lot written about so talking about those would be more spoilery since there’s nothing to spoil. Also I have a few videos for South Park already up. Oh! I’ve also done a little bit for the smurfs, Scooby doo, and Lazy Town. But that’s it. I just do them for any shows I happen to come across and enjoy.

Pretty cool I always loved the show not as something to relate but something a brand of feminine and gadgets and she puns and the Mickey Mouse voice as his girly voice is hilarious shezow to me is just a superhero product he uses the tools that doesn’t define him but as his secret identity as a superhero not who he is sad their not making the show more

@@chloeandemilysworld that sounds like a fun posibilty! Unfortunately I’m putting the audio book on hold right now. It’s proving to be really difficult and I’ve never worked with videos this long before. We’ll see if I ever pick it up again.
