I once had a game where I played as Germany and had my troops successfully take Yorkshire, (the doorstep of London), Moscow, and contested Paris. But Austria-Hungary and The Ottomans were overrun undoing all of my success. If only there was a way to "gift" provinces to other nations, then Austria might have had enough production to defend themselves.
Interesting how adamant you are that the Allies have the advantage in this game! I am playing my first game, and the two guys who have experience playing this game claim the Central powers have the advantage, and they took the Allies to play. The Central powers are winning, thank you very much! ;-)
Good luck! I'm eager to see your results. I've tested my strategy at a theoretical level (though not in practice yet) so I'm interested to see how it fairs in real life and what small tweaks are necessary for fine-tuning purposes.
I'm interested in what happens as well. It seems like as good of a CP strategy as any so here's hoping it works out. I will have to make it up as I go along after the 2nd turn because Austria/ Germany will have to adjust to what the Allies are doing but I think that I have the general sense of where you're going with it. Maybe I'l stop at that point and you can comment what you want next before I continue in Part 2.
My two favorite GHG sayings: "go down there and kick em in the nuts!" and "If they go there they're going to get the shit kicked out of them". lol nice vids a nice little change up from the global vids. Can't wait to see your strategy match up against his paris first strat.
This game is hard. I've done well with using Austria as a Naval Power but it still choked out. I forget if America entered the war or not. if you put the good player on the Central Powers and the bad player on the Allied Powers the Allies still win often. changing victory conditions might change outcomes.
Thank you for this video, General ! It's obvious that this game is unbalanced, in favor of the Allies... A simple proof are the tournament rules which require players to bid no the nation they would like to use and it seems like Allied players are usually ready to give +12 IP to the CP player at start ! So I was wondering : what would be your recommendation in order to balance this game ? (and I am not talking about complicated rule changes, I am just talking about an OOB set-up balance)
But if your playing out of box rues you cant capture Moscow so would it not be better to just hold off Russia and try to get the revolution to happen with as little units as possible while Germany focuses on taking Paris and Austria-Hungary focuses on taking Rome with the Ottomans trying to distract the British, French, Russians, and Italians by expanding as far as possible to scare Allied armies and force them each to send something to fight the Ottomans?

Favourite saying from a Clint Eastwood movie; "Dyin' ain't much of a livin', Boy." The Outlaw Josey Wales
The sea zones are so big unlike 1940

Nice video, but the Central Powers weren't the bad guys!
Love using his recent strat
Great vid really enjoyed it
Thank you Sam
Good video! I'm playing a game with Hunter jones and Sam Kenny starting Monday. I need American and Italian strategies asap lol 😜
Watch out for Hunter's dog. He whispers strategy into Hunter's ear when he thinks you're not looking. What a cheater.
GeneralHandGrenade
Haha! 😜👍
Corpo24 Axis&Allies well some bodies got a secret weapon
Great Video! Thank you very much! Maybe you could do one basic and shorter video to introduce new people to the game! There arent many.
Is this custom map still available for download? If so, did you print it on a particular backing or material? Thanks and good video.
A pointer would be great

In my opinion the U.S. or italy should be with the CP it's the only real way to balance this game
If you could only have one axis and allies game (besides 1940) what would it be?
For me it would be anniversary
CODEwater Airsoft and More get 1914, or the original-original (yes, out of print, but worth finding)
You could also have captured London and one other.

Is that a custom map? Where do I get that?

My God what happened to your hand?? 🙁
Workplace accident. It's all healed now.
I really like that game but it also really bugs me, that it is that unbalanced. Nearly no chance to win as Central Powers.
