A lot of Pink's fans can't appreciate what she did in the beginning that helped her get to where she is now. I miss the old music but I also love the new music.

Firas Harb I think he means to say she wanted to go in a different direction musically and genre wise.Influences are weird for musicians, for example people can site Madonna as an influence who is a pop artist, but they can be a Blues or RnB artists. That means some influences from her are still drawn and makes you the artist that you are.
You know you really have it when you are able to break into RnB, make it’s listeners fall in love with you, and then go off to slay Rock. She did that.❤️
I don't get how people claim to love an artist, then say they aren't good anymore when they move in a different direction, as artists of any medium often do throughout their lives and careers. Like are you really THAT picky? I just love her voice, no matter what genre she sings, be it R&B, pop, rock, gospel, or country/folk....she does all of these beautifully and effortlessly.

You'll find other RnB artists. If you're interested because of the person not their music then it's different. @@queenlareina07 Girl, I got one that's even better! I used to hold my boom box up to the speaker of my dad's stereo, to record songs off of the stereo radio onto my blank cassette that was in my boom box! This was before I got a stereo with a cassette player in it. My dad's stereo only had a turntable and an 8-track player!! Yep, tells you how old I am! (I'm 48!) The only bad thing about doing that, is that if someone came into my room and started talking while I was in the middle of recording a song, it ruined the song, because no one wants to be listening to a song, and then you hear someone talking in the background! After that happened a few times, whenever I was recording songs off the stereo onto my boom box, I would put a sign on my door that said, "DO NOT DISTURB, I'M RECORDING MUSIC! AND NO TALKING!" I could sometimes hear my mom and dad outside my bedroom door, laughing every time they saw that sign on my door. Back then, you had to do what ya had to do, if you wanted your songs to be perfect when you recorded them off the radio! Lol! Thank goodness I didn't have to do that for too long, because my dad got me my very own stereo, and it had not only a turntable for my vinyl records, but also a cassette player and a radio! I could record songs off the radio on my cassette player, and I could also record my vinyl records onto my cassette player. I thought I was hot stuff after that! Lol!

J NANA TAKYI TAKYI COLLINS Not really. She could have easily gone the Nu Metal or the more commercial R&B/Pop (Britney /Christina style) route in the early 2000s. Both genres were also very big at that time. Everyone forgets that P!nk was doing r&b before her first solo album. She was in an r&b group in the late 90s. Pink always loved every genre of music, she's talked about how she took classical singing lessons and her dad taught her how to harmonise when she was a kid. She's also talked about loving punk music and soul music when she was growing up The only reason she was in an rnb group, then made her first solo album rnb was cuz her label made her. I love how Pink shows that it's okay and natural for women to want love, but also clearly shows that her independence is stronger. She is a remarkable role model. Showing girls to have a free mind and to not let other people make choices for you and not to settle for less than what makes you happy.
Akuma Pedorobea ʕᴖᴥᴖʔ no need for the language you misinformed prude. I said R&B Pink was THE SHIT mean she was tight, dope, awesome during that period.
She did have a successful debut album. However she wasn’t being authentic to her true artistic self. That is why she’s doing the music she loves now which is also great. P!nk can do no wrong musically in my eyes.
That is honestly a very active build, things like dancing, martial arts and rock climbing are very effective ways to stay in shape so yeah the first step is self discipline and a lifestyle adjustment
Pink was naturally a R&B voice. She was in a R&B group in Philly but LA Reid said her talent surpassed everyone else and she needed to be solo. She wanted to be an international artist so she leaned pop after this album
U luv her "takes no damn crap" attitude she does what she wants, she doesn't let people push her around and definately never lets anyone tell her what to do, I hope her daughter Willow Sage is that way too as well
Can we please have a throwback tour in this style??? I grew up watching and listening to this kind of stuff and I couldnt wait to experience the era but now its gone 😞
Pink is one of the most respected, yet still greatly underrated and overlooked in many ways, for this reason first. Her humility, originality, being a cool ass woman and great mother, finding the time to work her ass off while prioritizing family first and she has successfully put out many albums in very different genres of music. That’s why Pink is my favorite!!!!!!!}!❤😛🙂🙃💀🤑🤑👍
Women we are going to listen to this song every morning and night when we get up and before we go to bed to remind ourselves we cannot be touched and we are the BADDEST !
They shouldn't be putting men down either. Any song that vilifies men is not empowering to anyone, period!! A person whose good with their selves lifts everyone up. Not tears anyone down.
Ashley Boateng she isn't putting men down, she is only saying she can do everything by herself and it makes no sense to be with someone only for money. That's a really good message and it doesn't put men down at all.
No it isn't. This song is saying that she's not like most girl's and that she's somehow better. Most girl's by that haliee singer is way better then this, she actually respects most girl's!

agreed... in fact i haven't even heard this song until today. i know this comment is a year old but i agree with you
No, it's not. This song is nearly 20 years old. It's not going to get the same attention now as it did then. It was pretty big back then.
Cassie Street This was THE JAM!
Yes definitely!
@@aewtx It charted as high as #4 on the Hot 100 and went to #1 in Australia.. It was a big hit for P!nk.
Sad to hear she didn't enjoy doing R&B, she was so good at it.
Who's still jamming in 2019?
Alanna Parker 11/16/19
2020 baybeee
4/5/2021
i still hear this song occasionally in the radio, which means it is iconic
Mannn my work's radio plays this atleast a couple times a week lol. I love the beat
Or it's an oldie.
2023 I'm still listening this
this is one of pinks most underrated tunes
I still have my copy of Can't Take Me Home. I've had it since 2000.
Me too. One of my favorite albums OAT.
As much as I loved this album, i also love every album that has come after it.
Im glad she got her foot in the door with the RnB. She had released some amazing songs across her career. Was a fan then and still s massive fan now.
Still bangin this in 2020!!!
Better than anything she did afterwards, especially the MOR Adele ballads.
2021 :)
This song was all over the radio. I could hear it 3 times at least one day. 16yrs ago
same here. those days on the yellow bus on the way to school. or at home listening to the radio.
I feel you!
eddy ho this was back when i didnt care if songs like this played numerous times a day on the radio. It was so much variety on the radio back then....great times.
I love how Pink shows that it's okay and natural for women to want love, but also clearly shows that her independence is stronger. She is a remarkable role model. Showing girls to have a free mind and to not let other people make choices for you and not to settle for less than what makes you happy.
Not only does she have a good voice, but sometimes you can just tell she's aggressive and lovely at the same time.
Her voice sound Awesome
I love all versions of P!nk
I Love her
This is my favorite version. I love this album!
Likewise💯💪🏽
Pink literally coulda been to R&B how we see Eminem with rap. She was putting out BANGERS.
I've loved all versions of Pink. She just kills everything she does and she's so real and honest. Old or new I just love her songs and messages
I want My Old Pink back There You Go.
Pinkkkkkk 😩😍😍😍😍
My fav Pink song!! And I love most of her songs.
+Busola M lol this is the only song i know
metalheadcz you should ha funhouse
YES PINK UNDERSTAND ME HER SONG THERE YOU GO WAS AMAZING
the original BlackP!nk!
The one and only
Okay??👏👏👏
JAJJAJAJAJS
The much better version
But she not ha ha
I liked RnB Pink lol
R&B Pink was the Shit!!!!!
+Nick Tinson
fuck you m8 R&B Pink is not shit. R&B Pink is the Bomb!!!
I think u may have misunderstood.. Saying was the Shit is pretty much saying awesome. Not 'it was shit'
Akuma Pedorobea ʕᴖᴥᴖʔ no need for the language you misinformed prude. I said R&B Pink was THE SHIT mean she was tight, dope, awesome during that period.
yeah she was cool when they had her HIP HOP but she's better with her OWN style today
This still makes me smile. She ate. L.A been trying to replace P!NK since..
Pink would've killed in the R&B arena. LaFace gave her great production on her first album but she wanted to be a pop star
La Reid wanted to make her something she’s not sooo she decided to become more punk pop instead of r&b pop
She did have a successful debut album. However she wasn’t being authentic to her true artistic self. That is why she’s doing the music she loves now which is also great. P!nk can do no wrong musically in my eyes.
I was born Pink's album in 2000 because my birthday is October 18
She dodged a bullet with LaFace records. They did so many artists wrong including the Iconic TLC
Underrated song that everyone seems to forget!
I need pink's stomach. That V is everything
Yoga's your friend
Try kickboxing that'll get you ripped and you'll be able to protect yourself from assault
Sis needs to drop her fockn routine 😭😭😭
That is honestly a very active build, things like dancing, martial arts and rock climbing are very effective ways to stay in shape so yeah the first step is self discipline and a lifestyle adjustment
that's hard work ladies
2022 and this still touches my soul. Pink will always be that girl!
This song never gets old In 2023
This song was one of the high points of summer of 2000. love it still
I was born in 2000 my birthday is October 18
0:19 Muscle dude playing Cello is just too funny
So it is a Cello, right? I was going to post this on social media but I want sure of it was a Cello or a String Bass. 😂😂😂 Ugh. I couldn't tell.
I used to have such a girl crush on pink.
I still do 😂💕
Kat Blaque I think every girl did haha I know I sure did!
That's okay. I had a regular crush on Pink.
bentleyisla Same it has only got bigger over the years :D
GamerGalUK I hope you're still talking about a crush.
Pink is my favorite classic fan
Pink was naturally a R&B voice. She was in a R&B group in Philly but LA Reid said her talent surpassed everyone else and she needed to be solo. She wanted to be an international artist so she leaned pop after this album
This song/video is perfection. Everyone involved gets A+. My favorite version of Pink.
💯💯
Original, r&b Pink is what I fell in love with
This is how we do Pink 😎🤘🏾⭐🎸🎤
I'm almost certain her next RnB record (if she blesses us with one more) will go to number one in only a matter of minutes💞🖤
Hell yas!
This song could be released 2018 and you wouldn't notice it's from 2000 pink was ahead of her time ! PINK!
I agree. This song is still hot in 2019!
Lol she said bling bling & ching ching... You can definitely tell this was from the early 2000s. Nobody says that anymore.
@@Nisha_Bella yes that and plus she could actually sing and do it all unlike most artists today
I mean. Everyone would be sus as to why it's actually good....
Yea somwhat
She a beast no matter the genre❤️
The 2000's pink was so relatable
I need pink's stomach. That V is everything
That was always my part " cause shorty got a job, shorty got a car and shorty can pay her own rent " meanwhile I had NONE 😊😂
that's the best part
i always thought she sang "sure he got a car, sure he got a job, sure he can pay more rent"...
Courtney Monae thats my part too
I've always loved the "I'm not every girl and I don't need no G to take of me..." line.
Yes!!! I loved that part
Oh how I miss MTV TRL and videos period
A post on Twt said "Y'all have your Blackpink in 2022 but this was our black Pink back in the day." Truer words!!! 😂😂
That's wat brought me here 😭😭😭😭
U luv her "takes no damn crap" attitude she does what she wants, she doesn't let people push her around and definately never lets anyone tell her what to do, I hope her daughter Willow Sage is that way too as well
I’ve always loved her music. Her voice and how she makes me feel like I can sing is awesome because I cannot sing at all !!!
That's crazy, she also inspired me to start singing too!
Pink remember I Always love you baby 😏❤️🤍
Who here in 2024 and still love this song🔥🔥❤️🔥🔥❤️❤️🔥❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I was in my 30's when i first heard this.
Im now in my 60's and i still love it.
How is that possible 💀
@@purestformofpeacewell if she was 36 in 2000, she is 60 now
@@purestformofpeace 🫏😆
We never stop loving the music we liked when we wre younger...
Can we please have a throwback tour in this style??? I grew up watching and listening to this kind of stuff and I couldnt wait to experience the era but now its gone 😞
Can we take a moment to appreciate the set of this video back when music videos looked amazing and glossy
She set a standard for girls saying "I dont need a guy to survive".. Everything today is the complete opposite. This song put fire in my soul.
that’s not what she’s saying in this song at all.
My Top 4 Are Pink,Beyonce, Aguilera and Britney.
This song bring back so much memories when i was like only 12 years old, now im on my mid 20's.
Right!!! It was always in TRL. The good ol days!
I'm Philly, I've loved her her since she made "There you go"... That's my baby❤
i miss when pink was a light-skinned black woman
Seriously! 😂 I really used to think that she was a light skinned black girl
But she not ha ha😛
@@lilascharmante2712 haha!!!! I did too 🤣
@musicbabylove1 but she not ha ha
I totally thought she was mixed when this song came out
The original girl power anthem
They shouldn't be putting men down either. Any song that vilifies men is not empowering to anyone, period!! A person whose good with their selves lifts everyone up. Not tears anyone down.
Ashley Boateng she isn't putting men down, she is only saying she can do everything by herself and it makes no sense to be with someone only for money. That's a really good message and it doesn't put men down at all.
No it isn't.
This song is saying that she's not like most girl's and that she's somehow better.
Most girl's by that haliee singer is way better then this, she actually respects most girl's!
Sexy Curvy Girl 1974
It’s not tho, it’s putting down other women just to say she is better.
Yeah dissing other women isn't girl power lol
Pink is so versatile that she can do rnb n pop rock
Only she didn’t enjoy rnb pink
I’m here for the cello, JK Pink is a badass artist. Love her since this album 💝
Who in 2024?
2024 Pink team from Iraq♥♥
❤❤❤❤
Best buy outta nowhere I bought this cd that's why I was a nurse nonrenewed. It's about Jesus and family😭😘💯😇😴
💯
Always ❤❤❤❤ Pink
This is random...But this song just inspired me to get off my ass and go workout... :)
Me too after Thanksgiving I'm gonna stop being a fatty
Honestly this has to not only be her most awesome Music Video but the song lyrics and beat are beyond stelllar !! Pink 2024 !!
Oh my God..how did i get here..I remember this airing on TRL when i was in high school...I miss this pink,, this was my SHIT!!!! You hear me!!!💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Those were the days : )

I honestly didn’t know this was p!nk. I love all her music old and new. Her voice is versatile her style is her own and she’s talented.
Only female singer I do love is Pink she's one of my favorite singer I was born Pink's album in 2000 but hey I'm down with that
Loved her music for over 5 months before I saw any images of her let alone her music vids...This was the 2nd video I saw and the first to make me truly get infatuated with her!
My part will always be “Dont wanna dance if he can’t be everything that I dream of a man that understands real love “ 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😩✊🏽
Integrity...a rare gem of a woman. :). Lova ya Pink! :*
