Tough chance. Milos is a hard worker, and that says something considering his origins are from Montenegro. However, he is no match for the top 5. Without his impeccable serve to set him up in the points, he is no better than any of the top 30 players.

I am not a Nick fan but he played quite well and ran up against a former ATP No 3 and Wimbledon finalist not to mention SF at AO for heavens sake who happened to be right in the groove today. Seriously nobody likes to see Milos in their part of the draw so there is no shame in Nick losing here. He is quite right that the way he played he would have taken out most of the other players. These critics are unreasonable. In turn give credit to Milos - the guy is a threat to anyone and might well be a GS winner - should have already done it and probably should have done it at AO if not for injury problems.

Kyrgios has serious potential. I noticed during this match that he channels his frustration at himself, even after winning points. Hopefully he will overcome this bottleneck to his in-game mentallity because I've seen his ultimate potential when he's focussed and he's actually so friendly and 'FUN'. With some additional composure, he can become one of the greats. It may be difficult, but he needs to take the high road with the media. We, (the millions of tennis fans) see right through their obsession with negative stories and we hate them for it. Keep it up Nick!

De Minaur is Spanish-Australian. Regardless of that just going by the rankings the top three ATP Aussies are De Minaur, Millman and Ebden. All three of those guys had a personal best year in 2018. Why would you choose someone, e.g. Kyrgios, to enter into your team who's struggling and is sliding down the rankings? Bernard Tomic, I think he's burned a lot of bridges with Tennis Australia so I doubt they'd want him as their ambassador. Thanasi Kokkinakis has been injured frequently the past few years. Unfortunately he's not worth putting on the roster at this stage.
