New LEGO City Update #9

- In this week's LEGO City Update we will show you what we have done to the front most edge of the LEGO table, progress on the town square, progress on the Cafe Corner, rock wall partial completion, and a new Lego Modular addition to the city. As always, thank you for watching!

There's some dark things going on in your city! - drunk homeless guys, thief stealing that woman's drink, dismembered body etc lol :D - all part of the realism i spose!

the passenger train is nice and all, but i think it’d be absolutely lovely if you built a large steam train with many train cars or a diesel engine! also you should build more mocs to go with your more realistic style of building!

Your city looks great! Love the rocks - even though it takes forever to build it all - and your town square. The cafe corner is also coming along nicely! And yes, making a city update takes more time than you'd think. I know all about that. But I love that you still are doing it and letting us check in on your town.

Thank you very much for your kind comment! We completely understand. We were inspired a few years ago by amazing LEGO creations we found on social media and decided to get back into building. It has been a very rewarding journey.

Realist Shaaf as of now, we have no plans for any skyscrapers in the city... but plans change. 👍
I would love a video of detailed explaining about all of that rock work and the pieces used and what not. please consider this greatly as a future vid :) great city keep it up keen to follow in your foot steps soon :)

Yeah, I can see how the rocks would take forever to finish. A lot of things that need to fit to together in odd ways, and you have to avoid being repetitive, too.
...I'm still not sure if that bit of brown on the rocks is a tree trunk, or some sort of sand worm. I'ts probably a tree trunk, but I do hold out hope for something more exotic....

I love the rock wall! Especially the detail of the dead tree (and rock climber). Really adds to it. Looks soul-destroying work, but so, so worth it. Can you come and do mine for me? Really looking forward to seeing your video on how you did it.
And it makes me happy that you loved the Diner. I've been eyeing that set up. Think I'll go Detectives Office first though. Older set and I don't want to miss out on it as I love the style and details through the model. What are your thoughts on that one?
You should add cheeseslopes to the tiling of the town square in order to give it a rugged look and it might be less expensive
Antoine Cao Very right you are. 👍 we’re planning on replacing a portion of the tiles with 1x1 plate, 1x1 round plates, 1x1 round tiles, and cheese slopes. We just want the dispersion to be even so we’re waiting till it’s all done and then we’ll go back and make it look distressed. 👍

Interfierce Racing 717 i think he used larger plates/tiles/jumper 2x2 tiles & 2x2 round tiles for the studs. Its a great idea, really need to build one myself.
