- The new Vega Vintage Star offers a fantastic old time tone and vintage vibe. When you open the case of the Vega Vintage Star, you will find a banjo that captures the soul of late 19th century banjos with the playability and adjustability of a modern instrument.
At the heart of the Vintage Star lies a stunning Dobson tone ring. Originally patented by Henry Dobson in 1881, the Dobson balances the low ends with clear highs, and adds just the right amount of sustain to the banjo. The brass Dobson glows from behind the renaissance head, which itself sits on a thinner walled, 12” violin grade maple rim. A knotless tailpiece tops off the set up to produce a classic old-time tone.
The Vintage Star features a durable, low maintenance frosty bronze powder finish, that accents the exotic smokey streaks running through the ebony of the fingerboard. The finish also happens to be hypoallergenic, which, along with the matching maple armrest makes for a truly comfortable playing experience.
One thing is for certain. The Vintage Star is a timeless instrument and it is as beautiful to look at as it is to listen to. Find one at select Deering dealers today.

I just purchased this incredible Vintage Star and absolutely love it! The sound is so pure, with the right balance of highs and lows while allowing the mid range to shine through. The Dobson tone ring makes a huge difference. Plus, this Vega is stunning to look at. This one is a keeper for me and will be a big part of my comedy shows. Thank you Jamie and Deering Banjos.
Found my dream banjo!

It really is!
That is one gorgeous banjo. Stunning instrument!
Beautiful beautiful 😍
Thanks! We try. 😁
Everything Deering makes is very high quality and beautifully made, simply great U.S.A made instruments, im not a banjo player, i decided to take up the ukulele and would love to purchase one of their banjolele's , another one of Deering's great products 👍🏆.
Thanks for sharing!
I think I finally know what my next banjo is going to be now. I unfortunately had to sell my Goodtime a year ago, because I was in a tight situation and needed cash. I have gone back and forth since then decided what my next Deering banjo would be. I look forward to getting this nice Vega Vintage Star! Style and sound wise. It’s perfect🤩
Wyatt, it’s astounding! You’ll love it!
Nice Touch. Respect. STP
i just purchased this banjo as i loved the sound and trying to find one has been almost impossible i just could not pass it up. i am excited to get it and try it out.
What did you think of it? Thinking of getting one myself
@@badface9955 I love the banjo! It is so well made you can feel the quality compared to my lower end Deering banjo. Also besides being a beautiful instrument it sounds great with that Dobson tone ring. I play it every day! I would highly recommend this banjo to anyone, it’s worth the price!
This is a fantastic old time banjo by Deering! We have them in stock now! www.banjostudio.com/products/vega-vintage-star-banjo
Any thoughts on Vintage Star vs Vega Senator? Notable differences, features of each compared?
I really wonder what’s the name of the song and in which key it’s being played I love it. I’m also thinking about buying one myself but can’t decide if I should get this one or the Vega white oak 😖
And was also wondering if I could get custom railroad spikes onto this banjo
I’d like to know that song name as well. I have spikes installed on mine.
I would like it if you would just fill the order for the one I have been expecting for a year now.
Hi guys! If you could send me one to tryout that would be great :)
Isn't it kinda blasphemy to pair a Dobson tone ring with a banjo carrying the Vega name?
We feel it's sort of a 19th century banjo maker kumbaya moment ;)
@@DeeringBanjoCo is this cut from American wood?
@@blainechappell5383 The neck and rim are made of sustainably harvested American maple and the smoky ebony fingerboard is sustainably harvested from Africa
