This movie is not The Karate Kid, but if I were this kid I wouldn't have taken that slap in the face. I'd slap that old man right back. I don't care how old he is.
I watched this movie some years ago and now that i see this there's a thing that comes to my head. Did blind dog just got the talent to play blues in a spark when he sold his soul? why is he asked to come to the crossroads every friday night? sound like he had to go throw some things after he sells his soul that the movie doesn't explain.
@IPA SOLE - actually it is you who knows nothing, you think classical is easy because all you have to do is practice? is running a marathon easy because all you have to do is run it? is writing a great story easy because all you have to do is write it? classical music IS about musicality, "feeling" is the result knowledge, skill, and experience, but people who know nothing such as yourself simply revert to the old "phrasing and feeling over technique" cliche
@IPA SOLÉ "any kid can play classical." this is an astounding claim made by someone who is clearly very ignorant in terms of musical knowledge. unless the "kid." is a musical prodigy It would take years of study and practice just to perform certain pieces properly. and even longer to compose and write original pieces.
I loved the movie, but why cast that little shit Ralph Macchio? He got some good parts in films others would have been way better in He was a lucky stiff back then is all I can say.
One of the greatest movies of all times!
Agreed.
Mee to
He was an arrogant mean old man and the Lad gave him some soul back, I really love this movie it’s deep rare talent
Macchio said this was his toughest movie, working with a younger actor and all.
nativepangea macchio?? I thought that was the young kid
agthaog1986 I think it was a joke, because macchio looks way older than he looks
SLAP! Why didn't he block that with wax on wax off?
cause he didn't use the veidt method.
Wrong Movie.

I agree. I think there were various other actors that would have been a better cast to play the part.
