Don't have a particular one but my favourite aviation moments are when I see the Changi airport control tower from the aircraft window. It means I get to see my family again...
Mal wieder tolles Video!
Thank you. Yes, I am planning to do more videos about the cities and places I go to in 2020! There's also a video coming up this Sunday about a very unique experience in NY. ✌🏽 I hope to see you there.
Thank you for watching. As this flight was last year I can't recall the seat number. However, I would always check Seatguru before you reserve a seat :)
Thank you Genki! I'm still waiting for the moment I get to see Vatnajökull or Hekla Aurora... In my opinion those 2 liveries are the most beautiful ones out there :) Sadly, none of them were in Reykjavik that day.
Those cinematic shots, beautiful, very clean editing and crystal clear camera footage. I haven't flown with Icelandair so far, the product looks okay in my opinion. Hahaha the GoPro Hero 8 is my candidate, too, but I'm switching from a Session 5, so anything is better. What I have seen is that Hypersmooth is even better than on the Hero 7, pretty much like with a gimbal.
So we are in the same position currently. I am recording on a GoPro Hero 5... But I don't really know if it is worth it for me because I only use it for take offs and landing as well as some shots where it is attached to the window or ife screen. :D Anyways, thank you so much for support!
@@FlyAround Yeah it depends on the use case, if you just intend to use it for take-offs and landings, I'm not sure as well. However I use the GoPro also as a shoulder mounted backup camera and I'm not completely happy with the footage that I get from it now, both in terms of image stabilization and the quality in low light situations.
@@FlyAround Well yeah, I attach it to a part of my camera backpack. You can find attachments for that on Amazon. However I only use it as an emergency backup, if I can't film otherwise, because it is difficult to get steady footage form that. Other than that it's for takeoff and landing videos, but I found that a lot of crew members don't like the idea of attaching a camera to the window (and I don't blame them ;)).
Great video buddy and stunning views over Greenland! I really look forward to flying on a 757 soon so I'm happy that you got the experience. Iceland fly to here in Edmonton, but it's still pretty pricey.
Thank you! Enjoy your flight on Delta's B757 and make sure you let me know once the video is online. When I look out for flights,Icelandair is always under the top 3 of the lowest asking airlines... 🙃 Maybe you are doing something wrong.
Nice video! But man, it's sad to see that icelandair is not a full-service carrier :/ how long was this flight? For me it pretty much seems like a long-haul one
I mean what can you expect from an airline that undercuts most of the major airlines to the US East Coast? They don't promote themselves as an airline with full service. They see themselves somewhere between low-cost and airlines like Lufthansa or British Airways. The flight was scheduled for 6 hours. Is it a long-haul flight for you?
Fly Around interesting ... I hope that at least the prices of their flights to the US are lower than those of other full-service European carriers. A 6-hour flight cannot be considered as ultra long-haul, but it can definitely be considered as a long-haul. Fyi, Eurocontrol defines long-haul routes as longer than 4,000 km, which is actually the case. Nice trip report, keep 'em coming 👍🏽
I'm all set with my Lumix camera for 90% of my shots. The GoPro 8 is just for some special angles when I want to attach it to the window or the roof or whatever. Anyways, thank you for your feedback on the Hero 8 ✌🏽
Then u could also do the GoPro fusion it has good clear image and 360 image but Idt it has image stability. The GoPro fusion has all the same ability to stick to windows or roof or whatever but viewers with the RUclips app can move the screen and things like that
Hi! How are you?! Such an amazing scenery - wow! I wasn't anywhere since my trip to Sri Lanka in April, but 2 weeks ago went to Warsaw with LOT in business class. On the way there LOT changed the Dreamliner to a B767 operated by Portuguese charter company EuroAtlantic. I was afraid that the business class will not be at par, but it was great. Rather than the 2 by 2 by 2 configuration it was 1 by 2 by 1. I had a single seat by the window. On the way back - I was on a brand new Dreamliner - an extended version with 4 rows of seats in business class. Videos are still to come - so far I just did one in polish from my outbound flight. Best regards!
Hey Anita! Thank you so much for watching :) The video about your EuroAtlantic experience is on your channel, right? I believe I have watched it recently 😅 When I hear about your LOT experience, I want to fly with them again... Maybe in Economy or Business Class this time. :)
@@FlyAround Hi Julius - I did recently a video in Polish featuring my flight on that EuroAtlantic airline. I was surprised how good it was - exceeded my expectations, for sure :) I still have to do that one and the new Dreamliner in English. Thanks for watching and please go with LOT if you get a chance :)
@@ZyciewKanadzieAnitaBeataVlog I always find it exciting to fly on a charter airline that I haven't heard of before. 😅 A couple of weeks ago, I also flew on Getjet Airlines because Icelandair had to cover some B737Max flights.
@@FlyAround Yes - any new experience with different airlines is a very exciting experience - as long as the service and product that have been booked - are at par. I have to go to Iceland yet - may even a place to stay, as one of my regular viewers lives there. I still have my Cathay business class/ premium economy and Air Canada premium economy videos to put together from my last 3 trips to Asia, but somehow I keep producing more videos about my cats and the raccoons :) Have a great Halloween!😈
Wow this aircraft you were on is almost 20 years old but delivered to Icelandair only on Mar 2018. Any idea why they choose to use old narrow body aircraft? I still don’t get the service concept of this company. You get drinks but have to pay for your food? Are they a full service airline or a low cost carrier? Is the IFE complimentary? BTW I would like to watch Joker soon 😆 Do you recommend it?
Wow. You even know more than I do, even though I flew with this aircraft.. :D Icelandair grows pretty consistent and the B757 fits perfect to their demand... Also they wanted to add more B757 and B767's to have low complexity in their fleet. Icelandair is inbetween a lcc and a full service airline... They offer extremely cheap flights to the US. The IFE is included as well as unlimited softdrinks :) Furthermore, the meals are available for purchase online and during the flight for an affordable price! And no, I haven't seen Joker yet. Hoping for it to be available on my next flights :D That's pretty much the only time I sit down to watch movies...
I guess they have incorporated LCC elements into their service model to be able to keep fares attractive for the customer, and probably stay competitive. Have to say, this doesn’t sit well with me. I’m also not a fan of the 757 so I probably won’t be travelling with them anytime soon.

Hey Neil, thank you for stopping by. Flying over Greenland is truly special and I chose Icelandair because of it. Usually, all the other airlines have to fly a little bit more south so that you can only see the tip of Greenland. Regarding the Hero 8 - You would say I should wait until December to purchase it? Is the quality not satisfying you right now?
It's an excellent camera and the step up to 4K at 60fps with stabilisation is awesome..but..until the mod arrives if like me you use an external mic the current adaptor does work with it but there's no Ulanzi case for it just yet..
@@MomentsInTheSky So, you're recording all your videos on the GoPro? I'm using a different camera and the GoPro is just helpful when I don't want to use a big camera. I heard good things about the stabilization.... Maybe I will surprise myself around christmas with a new one :D
