The "lute behind a flute" is an Appalachian Mountain Dulcimer, it was derived from European zithers that immigrants brought with them or built from memory when they came to the US. Simple instrument, good for beginners. Cheers on 1 million!

The end doohickeys are called 'passive radiators', when designing subs they are usually used to make a wider frequency range response via fine tuning the subwoofer cabinet resonance. The weight of the cone is important there. It's not a massive difference but it might help fill out a weaker area, low frequency is my guess as these have none.
Also probably good for waterproofing, since otherwise they'd need a big old hole to equalize pressure that water could get in.

@@aeteno703 nah, there's tonnes of cheap kendo bogu out there. Plenty of entry/beginner stuff for around $300-500 Aud. Anything decent will cost around $1k new (most ppl buy in around here), but once you hit 3-4Dan you'd look at a more expensive 3k set. They go up to $10k tho

The first video I watched was the Shrekpod one. It was absolutely hilarious and it was an instant subscribe + bell. I went to look for more videos on the channel and was shocked at the fact that it only had 5 or 6 other videos. As an Appalachian native I grew up frequently hearing those instruments in folk music of the area. It's very evocative of the mountains

I'm in Costa Rica. A couple of weeks ago I had my old classic iPod serviced (to see if it could be brought back to life--although I'm starting to think that it got bricked beyond recovery as I haven't heard from the place) and while running the options on what could be done for it, I brought up the 1000GB and 2000GB classic iPod videos from a couple of years back as a conversation starter...
The guy at the store told me that he'd seen the videos (and that he is a sub) and that the store has done memory augmentation on other people's iPods but with "far more reasonable" memory capacities LOL
