Gordon probably won't remember it, but way back when he was at Dundee FC, he presented me with the only trophy I have ever won for playing fitba at Invergowrie Lads Club. Wee man is a Dundee legend.
Under appreciated by so many in my opinion , a great player , an excellent Celtic and Scotland manager . A perfect example of a professional. The time at Celtic when he returned with Aberdeen after being attacked on the pitch , pokes his head round the tunnel making the baying mob laugh in hysterics . After scoring v Uruguay pretending he could jump over the advertising board
Remember him playing in Crunchie's testimonial at Brockville - bucketin with rain and he played 90 minutes - good guy

Gordon what a player for Leeds I've s picture of him when Leeds won the last year of the 1st Division before top league became the premier League , He's holding the cup with Wilko at the front of a topless Bus . Surprised he's never been Leeds manager.

Great interview. Totally agree with his comments regarding the 3-0 defeat against England away. I was at the game and just remember being so frustrated that all three goals were headers and we missed a good few chances throughout the game. Top guy, top manager 💚🏴

Superb interview, WGS was a superb footballer and coach. In my time as a Hoops fan, he is my favourite Celtic manager as he gets what it is to be a Celtic fan, he only has great things to say about our club, more so than some of the ex-players like Walker, Nicholas, Provan and Wilson.
who is wilson, i would say the only tue celt in that list is davie provan but chalie nicholas and andy walker are bigger celtic players than the shite they have today, jota, that hairstyle is a joke

And I take it by your expression of love for Provan that you're not a Celtic supporter or you have never heard or read anything he comes away with! Waker and Nicholas are persona non grata to Celtic fans, they are disliked as much as ex Huns.

Brilliant interview ! Love the story about Gothenburg . Gordon Strachan had not watched the game for years 'There was one day, me and Lesley werenae talking for some reason,so I sat down and put the Gothenburg game on' !! And realized what a good team Aberdeen were.Great story.

I saw him as a young lad playing for us against Airdire at Broomfield and they booted him from the first minute to the last - in front of referee Ian Foote. I guess that also bred character!
