Dragonball's owners made an unfortunate decision after Battle of Gods was much more popular than expected. Rather than putting in the effort to update the series for an audience that had grown older, they decided to assume that audience would stick around no matter what and appeal mainly to children who have never seen dragonball. It's why they feel safe repeating the cell saga beat for beat. They don't respect you or their audience. They are dangling dragonball themed keys in front of our faces and saying "Look at the shiny! You like the shiny right? Give us money and we'll keep jingling the shiny~"
Yup, great example they made Goku of DBS stupid as a rock.
In the multiverse tournament, Goku of Z would say:

Sadly they are only motivated of prolonging the series and making money off merch and stuff. They know if they introduce any kind of character development, the series will end. So everything is just the same old Goku fight fight fight.
Not only that but we already had an evil Goku. Turles from the tree of might. Just bring him back and have him fk it up, a version that succeeded in eating numerous fruits and was high level in base form. That leaves for an unbelievable story and it was already written that way anyway because of the movie. The guy even has iconic lines "You singe my fingernails". Missed opportunities left and right in the series.

Not really. His take is wrong. Goku wasn't just out for fun and battle. He fought only when needed to protect innocent people. Makes him out to be a villan when he's the hero. Useing dragon balls makes you bad? Useing objects amd anything to succeed is life that doesn't make you bad. Makes you smart. If succeeding is bad then prepare to be a loser

Not really. Androids 17 and 18 terrorized people in that future timeline. Syn/Omega Shenron was better given overreliance on dragon balls, especially selfish wishes would have bad drawbacks of negative energy.

@HarHarHarHarHarHarHarHarHarr just cases where these motions are justified or arcs done better. Usually something being a truth bomb "hits hard" but sure cherry pick like he does to buy into his hype.
While it’s a good speech, talking about the tournament of power kinda ruins it a little if you think about it. Sure Goku did cause a multiversal conflict but that was necessary for the protection of the multiverse. Without it many universes would cease to exist.
Sometimes trying to fix something repeatedly is you end up making it worse in the end, just like a bad marriage or fixing a broken chair, it’s never the same after. Black is pointing out how goku has abused his power ro manipulate people into thinking he’s doing good deeds because he’s saving people and considering that he’s actually also hurting others in the process, this is why shows like the boys came out, to show how the hero is not always really the hero.
The Gohan that never studied and continued to train after killing Cell
Future gohan never met cell. His timelines earth was taken over by 17 and 18 and cell never showed up, at least not until after trunks came back and had already destroyed that timelines 17 and 18 and then trunks killed cell. By that time gohan had been dead for quite awhile.
And was therefore barely strong enough to survive

Goku black’s ideology seems to have a misleading reflection on how goku caused a universal conflict just for the benefits of getting stronger; which is why xeno vegito showed up in a what if timeline. But Black’s ideology is wrong and corrupted, as gohan or trunks had nothing else to rely on to get out of that situation BUT the time machine, mind you that piccolo died by the hands of the androids aswell after that battle. So no piccolo = no kami = no dragon balls = no hope, which is why trunk’s time machine has the name “HOPE” on it. Because it was the only hope he could rely on.

would say its half truth. The thing about gokuy espically with super yes. But when he says "His timeline wouldn't exist if you time traveled." which is something that I call bs on. The androids didn't happen cause of time travel. They happened cause of Gero, not time traveling so black saying that about Gohan makes no sense. Everthing else though he is right on.

@@painulldreilot of things happen but, on the beggining of db, they we're real heroes vs cell, freeza, the androids, etc... at the moment that bills shows up, sorry but they stop caring about nothing, when goku finds out that were gods, that were much stronger than him he inmediately challenge him to a fight, without measuring the consequences, zamasu was bad before but, challenge him was the starting point of black series, and the worst part was the universes tournament, he shows up to zeno and says literally i'm tired of waiting, never realizing whats the power level of zeno, and how is gonna work... we all love it, but that doesnt chamge the fact that a lot of what happens was his fault too

@@thatfnafboy2656Zeno was going to destroy worlds anyway, Goku’s suggestion of the tournament, which is something Zeno had even considered after the 6 vs 7 tournament, have the worlds a chance at surviving to begin with.
They were in danger and Goku wound up saving them all by suggesting the Tournament of power.
@LestatandBerial Goku also suggested reviving frieza too. Has some bad ideas to start, but ToP ending and black frieza sparing them does feel like decent retcons.

Now this is the type of storyline we desperately need in super. We need consequences of goku being greedy to get a good fight out of someone even if it means harming everyone he loves. One thing that dragon ball lacks right now is repercussions for their actions.
Plus I feel the potential for a gohan black instead of a goku black would have made the story line in the ark so much better. It would a traumatized future trunks by having to face his mentor in combat now being his mortal enemy, Goku would feel conflicted trying to take down his eldest son, And we could finally get to see a what if fight between an Adult Gohan vs Vegeta which sadly we still havent got at all in the dragonball series

What Goku Black forgot to mention was that the zenos were already going to do it anyways,but Goku gave them the idea to have the universes prove that they didn't deserve to be erased.Goku also got the chance to fight stronger opponents too.

I could've gotten behind this if Future Gohan's hadn't died before the time machine was built. Prompting Trunks to go back in an attempt to prevent that timeline from ever happening in the first place. Plot hole right out the gate.

Future Gohan was badass. Imagine him traveling back in time and getting killed in the end by cell instead of c16. Would have been a way more powerful moment for Teen Gohan and we would have seen more of him.
