Me and my girlfriend lost everything, I have a neuromuscular disorder and got very sick 2 yrs ago, our storage unit got sold, we threw a lot away, and the place we're in now there was a flood and everything else that we owned got destroyed. Anyways I am now well enough to work again and we're finally moving from our basement single room into a new apartment. Because I'm working again we're buying everything new. I love your videos!!! love your videos! Love your content. I am in the middle of sprucing up my 10x10 bedroom, and bought a upholstered queen bed with massive headboard (68inches in height) in blank linen. Am gonna deviate from the light paint color and go dark (like midnight/navy blue all over, incuding trims, doors, etc), and use some of your tips with the layering of lights, the mirrors and adding textures on my beddings and other furnitures. Wish me luck!

Question: for the bedroom that has the bed pushed up against the wall for more space . I didn’t really see any pictures of how to decorate that sorta space . I am just about to start a small bedroom renovation and am unable to decide if the storage area above my bed should be the same colors as my ceiling ( white) or should II merge it with the accent wall I am planning to paint behind my bed as royal blue. Great and useful video as usual, thanks for that! :) If I may suggest another topic is "how to arrange furnitures in small places with door windows". This is a specific issue I'm facing in my new apartment for example, where the kitchen\living room is quite small (about 216 ft2, 20m2) and has a wide door window. Door windows are amazing because bring natural light and give a nice view to a balcony or a garden, but make that wall unusable to place furnitures. Hi Zahira .. I found bed in centre the best as it’s easy to place sheets on each corner. If I put bed on one side as you suggested it was very hard to put sheets and tuck it in all corners.. just thought of letting you know... love your work btw , always look forward to your videos 😘

Is it possible to use a dark color pallette all d way up to ceiling? Will it still makes the room appear much smaller? Cuz I cant sleep in a bright airy room but instead I love the feels of cosiness n dim to sleep in. 😅 I have a large bay window so is that enough?

Hi Margaret, sometimes we need to work with what we have, If you love your furniture just make it work! Do you have good natural lighting in your future room? i recommend to you use light color for the walls, sheets, pillows, rugs, etc. jut try to light up the space with your accessories. Place all the things that you have and use your space maybe later you will need to remove some piece but if you have it already just try to find the balance. I wish you the best, xoxo.

About this video I have a question ma'am. Kindly advise me my house bedroom is little small & it has 2 doors, 1 is for entering from living room to bedroom and infront of that 2nd one to enter balcony.. distance between 2 doors is 8 to 9 ft...we somehow couldn't find other option than making our wardrobe infront of our bed in just a 1ft distance which is very inconvenient...we also couldn't put any mirror or dressing table in our room bcoz due to wardrobe most of the place is covered,including half of the window 😐😒..if there is any option of providing picture of it please tell...your advise will be helpful..thanking you in advance 😀

If I may suggest another topic is "how to arrange furnitures in small places with door windows". This is a specific issue I'm facing in my new apartment for example, where the kitchen\living room is quite small (about 216 ft2, 20m2) and has a wide door window.
Door windows are amazing because bring natural light and give a nice view to a balcony or a garden, but make that wall unusable to place furnitures.

Hi Zahira .. I found bed in centre the best as it’s easy to place sheets on each corner. If I put bed on one side as you suggested it was very hard to put sheets and tuck it in all corners.. just thought of letting you know... love your work btw , always look forward to your videos 😘

Is it possible to use a dark color pallette all d way up to ceiling? Will it still makes the room appear much smaller? Cuz I cant sleep in a bright airy room but instead I love the feels of cosiness n dim to sleep in. 😅 I have a large bay window so is that enough?

Hi what do u think of black furniture ,black large suede headboard in a smallish room.I'm moving house to a smaller bedroom and love my furniture but how do I make it work? The colour palette at the moment is soft grey and charcoal,I have tall glass lamps also on my bedside cabinets ,will I need to use smaller ones in a small room.? Hi Margaret, sometimes we need to work with what we have, If you love your furniture just make it work! Do you have good natural lighting in your future room? i recommend to you use light color for the walls, sheets, pillows, rugs, etc. jut try to light up the space with your accessories. Place all the things that you have and use your space maybe later you will need to remove some piece but if you have it already just try to find the balance. I wish you the best, xoxo.

I have recently subscribed your link after watching 1st video of yours about light colours..you explain every simple thig amazingly and very clearly which we dnt notice!! About this video I have a question ma'am. Kindly advise me my house bedroom is little small & it has 2 doors, 1 is for entering from living room to bedroom and infront of that 2nd one to enter balcony.. distance between 2 doors is 8 to 9 ft...we somehow couldn't find other option than making our wardrobe infront of our bed in just a 1ft distance which is very inconvenient...we also couldn't put any mirror or dressing table in our room bcoz due to wardrobe most of the place is covered,including half of the window 😐😒..if there is any option of providing picture of it please tell...your advise will be helpful..thanking you in advance 😀
