- We present a tour of Toronto, home town of Noah “40” Shebib, the legendary, award-winning producer of Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, Nas, Sade, Alicia Keys, PartyNextDoor, Action Bronson, and most notably Drake. We visit studios past and present, and talk with some of his many collaborators in the Toronto scene, to tell the story of how he and Drake made Canadian rap famous around the world.
40 has teamed up with Native Instruments to create 40’S VERY OWN KEYS and 40’S VERY OWN DRUMS - the latest additions to our Play Series portfolio. So much of Toronto's talent intersected through these studio spaces...and everyone sort of knew everyone, and for OVO to become what it became, is nothing short of legendary, because Toronto is the sort of place that forces you to earn everything you'll ever get in life, very FEW breaks here.
Love you 40 I'm a rapper but you inspires me the most than anyone.

@@khantushig6460 it’s basically a better low pass filter. He tones down the sample rate, it gives it a specific sound. People say underwater, but look at “successful” “doing it wrong” “the ride” almost ever drake song produced by 40.

40 is a great artist and also inspires me to play the piano, even though many people think of him as being just a great producer, on the other hand I think is one of the best pianists we have in this contemporary music era!

Question! How do you tune 40's drums to your projects key? or are all the sounds (including bass) already in a key of C and have to just be transposed manually to your desired key?
40 is the backbone to the landscape of modern Toronto hip-hop/rnb, glad to see him getting the look. He deserves all the praise that comes his way.
