Canadian National Iron Range Operations in Northern Minnesota - May 2022

Iron ore train action on the Canadian National's Missabe and Iron Range Subdivisions.
A compilation of videos of the various iron ore trains I caught during my short stay at Northern Minnesota in May 2022. Railroad operations are quite different in this part of the country compared to the other, most of the ore trains are hauled by the older standard cab EMD and GE locomotives and that is one of the reason this area is a favorite of many railfans!
We were lucky to spot some fallen flag locomotives still wearing their original paint schemes from the past including BLE (Bessemer & Lake Erie) and IC (Illinois Central) railroads. Unfortunately we were not able to spot any DMIR (Duluth Missabe & Iron Range) railroad locomotive in active mainline duty.
