I "liked" because I like your videos. Oh my, that hummingbird stitch is gorgeous!! Oh the GOD BLESS AMERICA is beyond gorgeous, I'm a Plum Street fanatic!! All your Wips are beautiful but that Brenda Gervais is exquisite. Thank God y'all came through that storm ok!!
Good reminder to Ring the bell, if you like to see a future video (I didn't ring the bell on another Floss-tuber when I thought I had). Hummingbird onto a project bag front sounds Great. I've never stitched on Silk Gauze. Happy Birthday 🎂
Another fun video Chris! I’m a little behind, so I’m going to binge and catch up tonight. The At Home sampler is amazing and I love your progress - it’s clear that you cannot put it down. Happy Stitching! -Carolyn
Happy Birthday Chris...hope you have a great day! Was so happy when your video showed up on my list. Love your flosstube. Good camping story...I agree the weather has been crazy with all these storms. Stay safe!
Thank you so much for the shout out! We love watching you too!! And girl, I’ve been in a camper with a storm and it is scary!!!! So glad y’all and your camper are ok!!!
Hi Chris! Thanks for the birthday wishes! I’m glad you will be stitching along with me. I am excited to hear how you like the silk gauze. I have a small piece to try. Your finish is fabulous!
I enjoy your floss tube AND your campfire story. I love weather and all the stories. I plan to join your Zoom sometime (probably in fall.) sounds like an interesting concept for building community. Happy stitching. 🪡🧵
I enjoyed visiting with you and glad you were all safe during the storm while you were camping! I do not like storms at all. Take care and see you next time!
I love the finish! I started At Home too I haven’t posted because I am just too slow, but loving it. I agree these storms have been fearsome! Take care ♥️
I remember riding out a storm in the fifth wheel. You hit the nail on the head when you mentioned how loud a storm sounds inside the camper. I’m so glad you didn’t have any damage. Love seeing your sals and stitching. Everything is so beautiful!! I looked on your Etsy for the needleminders, but couldn’t find. I’ll keep checking. Happy stitching, Chris.❤
Love your floss tube and all your beautiful stitching! I can relate to the camp fire story! Glad you were safe. I hope to join the Zoom in September. Just got home from camping Wednesday and just couldn’t make it. Happy Stitching! 🪡
Those blasts from the past are epic! Love them! Beautifully framed piece. I didn't know you had an Etsy shop! cha-ching!! LOL I am going to Blue Earth the end of September for Julie's Hardanger class. I can't wait!
Thanks so much! Yes we've had one for a long time, I'll be adding more things for stitchers in it now that I'm retired and can work on them. So exciting about your class - looking forward to hearing about it!
Really do enjoy your flosstube. We also go camping, but not so much anymore. At 80 years young, it's getting harder to do, but come the end of August we will be leaving on a month + trip to eastern Oregon. Will probably be our last year. Would live up there in the woods (dry camping) if I could. You mentioned about the guy who hunted for old bottles. After we were married (1963) we lived in a small town in Eastern Oregon and this was something we did on weekends. Have since gotten rid of all but a few of the special bottles. My ort jar is one we found, and wish I could insert a picture. Will be waiting for your next video please take care! Love the camping stories!
Sounds like you weathered the storm without incident, thank goodness! Years ago my husband and I were tent camping with some friends at Hither Hills in Montauk NY right behind the sand dunes from the ocean. A storm game up and blew our lobsters off our picnic table and ripped our tent which, mind you, had a king size air mattress, and our large plastic tubes of clothing in it. Everything was taken by the wind and ended up tangled in the tree tops! What a night! We still get a good chuckle thinking about that adventure! Until the next adventure, happy stitching 💚
Thank you - I spent my summers camping at Hither Hills - my Uncle was the Superintendent of the park and He lived in the house before the loop for the lighthouse and we spent a lot of time there - that's when the light actually had a keeper and the keepers son was one of our playmates. That sounds like a rough storm you went through - glad you can chuckle about it!
@@TheCampingStitcher Gosh, what a small world. We loved camping there and hiking up into the lighthouse. My husband's mom as a child, lived in a lighthouse in France for a number of years with her pet goat. We rescued a goat at birth 12 years ago and she lives with us in our house! Craziness 💚🪡
I love watching your progress on Happy Campers. Because of your enabling I bought the pattern. Those little animals won me over. I’d like to start it but like everyone else I have countless numbers of WIPS. Your camping story reminded me of something long forgotten that happened to us when I had my travel trailer. When I was teaching, before retirement, I would take my kids to an RV park in Oceanside, CA. It’s in San Diego County. I would stay all summer because where I lived at the time got very hot in the summer. Occasionally I would leave to go home for a day or do something else that required me to be gone a few nights. The weather was always dependable so I never worried about leaving. The kids were teenagers and I had a lot of friends down there so they couldn’t really get into trouble. One of the times I left, a storm blew in. Totally unheard of at that time. It got really windy and my awning was in danger of getting ripped up. One of the neighbors came over and helped the kids bring the awning in. I got so lucky. I hated it when it got windy. Fortunately that didn’t happen often. Your storm story really brought back some memories. Enjoy camping during the week. You will really notice a difference during the fall. Not nearly as many people and it’s so quiet. Have a happy birthday!
Wow, Chris! I have that same little box. It is indeed very old. Mine is finished with a beading design. Just Nan, I think. I will post a pic on your page if you would like to see it.
I really enjoy your Flosstube. You have such a variety of topics. I love your camping stories. I have to say that you are such a fast stitcher. You seem to get so much done in a short period of time and your stitching is lovely. Thanks for another great flosstube.
Your At Home convinced me to order it. When will the needleminders get released? I'll also look for Annie's designs. I'll try to join in with Stitch Nights in Sept. I'll look for Green Mountain Metal Detecting. Love that stuff. Thanks for another interesting flosstube.
Lila’s Studio Summer Quaker August 1st start by Samantha, the Hygge Stitcher, (#liveinthesunshinesal) and July 1st by Laura Stitching by the Shore (#summerbytheshoresal).
You have some very interesting stories. My husband I are campers and enjoy metal detecting as well. I wanted to go camping this weekend for my birthday but the temperature is supposed to be in the 100's so I think that we will just stay home and try again another time.
Thank you so much for mentioning me! Stitchers are so supportive and I’m so glad to be a part of this community. So far I have one Flosstube and I did a short hi from the beach video. I’ll be filming my second flosstube tomorrow because I’m off on Tuesdays. I really enjoyed your video and your FFO is beautiful. Thank you again! ❤
I love your God Bless America piece. Would you share which frame you chose from art to frame? It looks like just what I want for a piece I finished recently. Your stitching is wonderful! Enjoy your camping travels.
I am so close to ordering At Home. What size fabric do you have for that? Fat eighth or fat quarter? I'm wondering if I've already got the fabric for it... :)
The stitch count is 250 x 248 so it would depend on the count your using. I had a piece of 36 ct Vintage country mocha that it fit on, or I would have ordered a fat qtr.
Hi Chris, Love your FFO, it is just beautiful! Happy Camping and Stitching travels!!
Thanks so much!
Always look forward to your flosstubes. Hope you have a marvelous birthday... celebrate as long as you like and eat up every minute.
Thank you so much!

May I ask who the Americana stitch is by? Love your frame you chose.
