Love riding at Markham. Thanks for the tacos tip. The red tacos sign on SR-84 can be found next to Road Hawgs bar, near Dunkin Donuts between 136th and Flamingo. It's called Agave Azul. We now "go there every single time," too.
Hey Seth! I love down in Key Biscayne and am taking a trip this weekend to Markham this Sunday. In Key Biscayne there is a local trailhead. I've seen that you have gone to Amelia and other trails and hope that sometime you could head down and try the different trails. Hope to see you there sometime!!!
I've been to Virginia Key plenty of times, but obviously not as much as the others since Biscane is a little further. That trail has some really fun sections, and even a few obstacles that top the others. I'll be down there again for sure!
Got to ride this place because my folks live in Sunrise, never imagined having that much fun on trails in South Florida and Bikebox has some awesome bikes to rent.
Pretty cool to see that place...I use to ride Markham many-many years ago. It looks to have improved tremendously, considering how poorly maintained it was (18 years ago-lol). Thanks for sharing!
Not sure if it was open when you rode it but Gun Range loop is freaky, not least because of the noise from the gun range right next to it. It's hard enough to ride a black diamond loop without having to worry about some gun nut going postal and blasting in all directions
Shadowarz Good point, I had it up there but ended up taking it down in favor of posting tightly edited videos. Here ruclips.net/video/f44bouaieuY/видео.html is a link to a video on my other channel from the same day. Glad you enjoy it!
I've ridden there. I spent a week in fort Lauderdale for work and Markham park is nice. you do need some riding experience as some of the sections I was hesitant to ride on. fort Lauderdale beach is a nice place to cruise around on your mountain bike also.
Great video and all.. Like I´m super jealous about those trails... But for some reason 3:23 was the highlight for me, that coke looks so freakin´ refreshing haha :D
I see that you never reviewed the Amelia MTB trails. I think you should come back to Miami and ride that trail once you get better. It has changed alot, and has been maintained well.
Michael Todd DeLoach Thanks, I may do a bike check video one of these days. It's actually a pretty ordinary bike, but with all different parts than it came with. It's a Trek 4-Series frame with 26" wheels. I have a Race Face single chainring, Race Face cranks, and Forté Terramax wheels wrapped in Maxxis Holy Rollers. I also run a DNM Dropper seat post to change the height on the fly, and a RockShox Recon suspension fork. You may laugh when I tell you I'm running a Shimano Altus Derailleur with a 7-Speed cassette, both under $20. To keep the chain from popping off when things get hairy, I run a Bionicon C-Guide Eco chain guide. Bars are Ritchey, with lock-on grips by Origin8. Race Face Ring: amzn.to/1FfFW29 Race Face Cranks: amzn.to/1A1Gw3u DNM Dropper Post: amzn.to/1L3kluq GoPro Mount: amzn.to/1A1GLvg Holy Rollers: amzn.to/1L3kv4Z Cassette: amzn.to/1A1H4q6 Derailleur: amzn.to/1PkLXRH Bars: amzn.to/1A1HkoX Grips: amzn.to/1PkM4N3
Apparently we have cottonmouths, rattlesnakes, copperheads, never seen one and probably never will. But critters can spawn and spread quickly here so next few years maybe different. IMO, when biking at markham or any dense trail the biggest threat is mosquitoes. Never take a break for more than a minute on a trail. And spider webs spawn over night so don't be the first to ride through one.
Cottonmouths... that was the one I was trying to think of. Those are pretty bad. I'm from Mn. originally, so I understand mosquitos. It was our state bird. lol
It's funny looking back at Seth, pre diamondback, pre so many things. Here in 2024 it's odd seeing him with no kids, no grey hair, and no full custom ti mountain bike...
Nice video but please be sure to mention that the trails are 100% volunteer built and that all are welcome to volunteer. If you like the trials, be part of them.
What sets Seth apart from other bikers on youtube is, it's not about the upgrade for Seth, it's about his skills. Give Seth a Diamond back or some other Walmart bike with 30mm steel stanchions and coil spring and he would ride it like it's a million dollar bike while other RUclipsrs are all about, get this Yeti, or this Santa Cruz for a billion dollars with all the horns and whistles or the latest Pike fork and that's exactly what's going to transform your riding. And "If you ain't got all these expensive stuff, you are a nobody!", that's their logic. Seth would load a wet sand in a cheap bike to make it as heavy as possible and bunnyhop that son m bitch like a 10k carbon bike while other RUclipsrs make riding only imaginable for some fat nerdy silicon valley IT specialist with a 6 figure salary who only poses with his shiny machine he can't even ride for shit. He just rolls it around to show hey! "I earn 200k a year, and I can afford all these. Ride on Seth, don't you dare change.
And for all this shit we talk about conservatives bikes and old school geometry... you would take that bike down whistler's a line five years ago happily
Lol was a good laugh to come back and watch this 5 years later.
100mm stem and 550mm bars that is the old seth
just went to Markham for the first time and ive lived 15 min away for 16 years. Been binge watching MTB vids and getting into the hobby. Thanks Seth!
So this is how awkward Seth sounds like😂
He’s improved majorly over the years
You should stick some wider bars on that Trek!
Nathandabest08 check out Markham park mountain bike fall 2017🤓
Ya it looks like a road bike
😂
And a short stem
Remembering the old seth
Crazy how far he got with the channel now in 2024
That ending was adorable. You put a lot of time into this, thank you!
Before the wonderful Gimbal

That was pretty fun to watch again and know what you are doing now! You are killing it now even more!!! Live-Life-Loud, Bro.
I used to ride here when I lived in Miami 95'-97'. Still own the GT Zaskar I used.
hahaha i love the awkward Seth voice and the fact that he mentions Jedi Pod Racing!

That trail looks awesome!
Happy new day eve anyone still see his old video

Pretty cool to see that place...I use to ride Markham many-many years ago. It looks to have improved tremendously, considering how poorly maintained it was (18 years ago-lol). Thanks for sharing!

That Taco place was heaven. Rode Markham all day yesterday then wen there to crush food. Good recommendation 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Not sure if it was open when you rode it but Gun Range loop is freaky, not least because of the noise from the gun range right next to it. It's hard enough to ride a black diamond loop without having to worry about some gun nut going postal and blasting in all directions
Santos in Ocala and San felasco in Gainesville are awesome trails.
Just curious, what happened on that jump to cause you to wreck? Nice video.
Nice video. Where is the rest? Didn't see it on your channel.

Thanks. Nice channel btw. Great editing and funny commentary.

You deserve WAY more subsribera

Haha you were right!
THAT STEM IS SO LONG OMG
markham park mountain bike trails, I was wondering if they do MTB RENTALS. looking to go with some friends today, thanks
That was awesome!! I am very new to mountain biking and have only done city streets so far in north Florida. That looks like lots of fun tho.
Oh wow, you actually have a lot of really good trails up there. People keep telling me to check out Ocala.
Jim knight I've ridden Mala compra and Graham swamp up there. Both were pretty challenging for an intermediate like myself.
You’ve got to be honest most of the people watching this is from like 2018-2020
hey seth do you have a front brake?? although you have a nc bike
dat stem length doe Seth :D
Anyone watching 2019???

That camera angle is killing me. Please tilt it up by a lot. Otherwise its a legit review. Best park I've been to in Florida so far.
I just rode markham today so fun
Why is there no front brake?
Are there any bike rentals near Markham Part with decent MTB ???
Nice review. Are there alligators to look out for?
I live in Colorado and we have to be aware of rattlesnakes. Seems like each area has their own wild animal to avoid.
I think running into a snake would be more likely and dangerous than an alligator in markham.
What kind of snakes do you need to watch for?

The length of that head tube 😭
William the butchers son productions you mean stem?
@@mtbtuber754 He definitely does.
I miss you in fl bro
Seth bring back the trek for a video
My chain dropped at 1:37, sliced up my knee on the front sprocket.
It's funny looking back at Seth, pre diamondback, pre so many things. Here in 2024 it's odd seeing him with no kids, no grey hair, and no full custom ti mountain bike...
Seth sounds so depressed. lol
Those bars are scary narrow.
Anyone here after berm peak?
Steady SPIN TEESHIRT?!?!?!?!??!!??!!!!?!
please ride graham swamp trail!
Bro this taco place is sooooo gooood
Nice video but please be sure to mention that the trails are 100% volunteer built and that all are welcome to volunteer. If you like the trials, be part of them.
2019 anyone
2020 btw
@@bluky0190 2020 but in the time that all the parks are closed btw
TACOS!
you didn't sound as happy as you do in other vids is it because of the crash
I'll gonna miss California's trails
Not a bad looking park, but thank God you moved to Asheville.
so its free?
You must pay an anually fee for about $25 and you must pay for park entry, but during quarantine the park entry is free

2020
3:13 asmr ?
Oh lord this is different
Seth with a 90 mm stem 650 mm bars and 100% cynicism is hilarious.
This is VERY special... "special"
Who else hates seeing the long stem
Go to Canada
i know this is your old trek. but your stem is huge and your bars are tiny!
Classic blink and you miss it humor
before the gray hair..
haha sucker i live so close to markham i can walk to it
wiped out at the same place in the begging
Oi oi oi that stem makes me cringe 🤣 2020
And for all this shit we talk about conservatives bikes and old school geometry...
you would take that bike down whistler's a line five years ago happily
Ugh long stems make me cringe
2019 anyone?
