    Best in-depth archetype discussion for cube I have seen online.
    Edit: I think as you are building out the base of your channel doing these kind of staple videos that zero in on archetypes guides will really stand the test of time and be references that people will continually come back to. As a new cuber, seeing this kind of content that gives 10,000 foot view overviews of individual colors (what archetypes they classically support, all-star staple cards, etc.) could be cool too.
    Also, this is probably not your area since your cube is not Peasant, but if you have any interest in Peasant cube content that examines archetypes in those environments would be awesome.

      Thank you for the kind words! And about one of my early vids. I'm embarrassed of its production quality, but such is inevitably the way of things, I suppose. I am delighted that it is of use. As you may know, I recently made a video that is a primer for drafting green ramp. It might be of interest to you as well.

    This is some of the best cube content I have found on youtube, and would just like to thank you for continuing to put this up. Its helped develop my own personal cube, and I have also used it for reference for a few months now.
    Also, I have a question on the software used on the deck breakdown section of this video. Do you mind sharing what that is?

    Love this! Are you able to examine some of the control archetypes?

    i think the outline for the color's major strength, and its major archetypes is my greatest take away from this video. It's really helped me look at my cube and help cut the chaff. Would love to see videos go into the core tenets of the other colors.

    Thanks for this! I have a 360-card premodern cube and this inspired me to try out some cards like limited resources and equipoise over extra redundant anthem effects. Unfortunately in this format the closest thing I have to Thalia is Glowrider. xD

    Do you think that Ranger-Captain of Eos is strong enough for a legacy cube?

    • @CulticCube
      @CulticCube  5 лет назад +1

      I do! I am behind the times and haven't formalized my list of tests from #mtgmh1, but Ranger-Captain of Eos is one I am confident that I want to try. The floor is fine, and drawing a live card is great for white weenie. I'm imagining that the sac ability is generally flavor text, but better to have it than not.

      @@CulticCube Thank you, I feel the same way. My cube is somewhere between Modern and Legacy and I'd like to make white weenie (and aggro in general) stronger.

    I really like the content of your video. I think the structure is well thought out. I notice your channel is new, and I have actually been thinking about starting my own channel, as there is a derth of good cube content availible.
    So I present two thoughts:
    1. You should work a little a your voice, as it is a bit mono-tone. Watch guys like Wedge on the mana source, or Josh and Jimmy on Game Knights, Even DJ on Jumbo commander, whose videos are similar two yours but are a little more upbeat.
    2. Also, maybe think about newer cards that fit into an archetype? beginning cubers may not have Thalia laying around, but Tithe Taker from the new ravnica could sit in that spot. Not as good, but fine for new cubers.

      Thank you so much for the kind words and for the direct, actionable feedback. I totally get what you are saying about a lack of spark in my presentation. In student evaluations I often get feedback that runs something like, "the professor is really chill," which I have come to understand to be code for "not super animated." I'll work on a more engaging delivery. For what it's worth, I hope that my more recent videos already exhibit a little more energy. I like your second point about discussing more recent cards as well. And finally, start a channel, by all means! I'm 100% with you: there are many good cube draft videos to be consumed, but there's precious little cube design and strategy content. I started this channel as a modest attempt to address that gap, and I would *love* to see more content from other thoughtful cubers.

      @@CulticCube thank you. That is very kind of you. I have been working on several of them now. It is actually starting to look like a channel. Thank you for encouraging me to take the plunge. I really feel like cube is magic's best format, and gets so little attention, and so little content. Perhaps you and I can make a small dent in that void.
