    I wanted a sub that would thump at very low volumes. The t9x got the job done. Excellent sub. Integrated well with my bowers and Wilkins 702s.

      @HiFiBuys  2 года назад +1

      Absolutely. We should do sub integration videos. Reviewing the differences subs make in different setups.

    Had a Velodyne years ago. Was so slow and muddy sounding sub.. Bought a REL about 6 years ago, and would never listen to another brand. It is by far deeper, quicker, and smaller. I cannot believe what it can do!!!💝!

  • @Maver1ck911

    Isn't the LFE for chaining Rel's together in addition to the traditional RCA sub-out while the high level input is primarily for reducing delay by using the primary amp binding posts

  • @spvlinn9009
    @spvlinn9009 3 года назад +1

    Signal from output of amp is amplified and feed into the sub which has own AB amp builtin. So signal is amplified twice? Or input impedance of sub is much much bigger than that of main speakers so it doesn't draw any current at all to make it a line signal even though it is speaker cable?

    • @HiFiBuys
      @HiFiBuys  3 года назад +4

      The REL's input impedance is so high, higher than 100,000 ohms, that your power amplifier (or integrated amp, or receiver)
      sees zero drain to provide the REL with its signal. But what that incoming signal from your amp does supply to the REL is a
      signal identical to that feeding your speakers.

    Great video, happy to discover and subscribe to your channel. I just don’t see the need of the music in the background because what you say is interesting enough. Just sold my T5 to buy a T7x. Cheers

    Thanks for your review! Really useful. I'm looking for a sub, got some Dali option 6s and centre speaker and looking for a sub. It's in a 220sq ft room and Rels website suggests I should get the T9 but could that be overkill? I thought the T7 would be more appropriate but could be wrong. What do you guys think?

    Could you advice on the best sub from the link provided below for my "Martin Logan Motion Dual 6-1/2 passive 2.5 way floor speakers. I pkay video games, music, and action movies. I have a 200in x 170in room. Im not looking for extreme bass, but something with a bit of a kick when needed. Nothing extreme. Thanks. I was thinking the T5x

      T/7x is our best seller and would be a great match for your system and room. The T/5x is our go to for small spaces or discreet placement, but the performance of the T/7x is a big step up. Happy listening!

    i find it a bit comfusing that those are called frontfire subs but have this membrane underneath. since i have wooden planks flooring and live in a 3 storey apartment building, i get a little anxious about disturbing the other tenants below. i might rather look at some of the new micro-subs from KEF and SVS.
