  • Thomas the Tank at Ropley station. He's hauled downhill (towards Alresford) by a Class 20 diesel (D 8188). He then pulls his train back uphill into the station. Whilst in the station he is overtaken by Ivatt engine 41312 heading for Alton station. Thomas may have chicken pox, just look at his sides!
Filmed at Ropley station on the Mid Hants Railway (MHR) during "Thomas the Tank" week May 2024. The MHR line is sometimes called The Hampshire Alps and also the Watercress Line. Thomas is a tank engine who lives at a big station on the Island of Sodor. He's a cheeky little engine with six small wheels, a short stumpy funnel, a short stumpy boiler and a short stumpy dome. He was created by the Rev. W. V. Awdry.
