I got one of these a few weeks ago and it worked fine for balance charging. However, when I decided to do a storage for my lipos, with the correct settings for storage it still charged my batteries even when it was set to storage. I watched the voltage continue to rise as it was suppose to be reducing the cells to storage voltage. The only way i could store them was to put it in discharge mode. Remarkably, it stored the cells at the proper balance amount. Don't know if the menu selection is faulty but that is how ai got it to store. And all cells were at the same 3.4 volts per cell. PS. it was the same on all my batteries I have so it was not the batteries.
What if your battery doesn't seem to weaken in sound it just stops firing when it runs low on power?.. Because my nuprol 11.1v battery doesn't sound like it gets weaker it just seems to stop working when it gets weak/dead..
Thanks for taking the time to share this. Something I have yet to have someone explain, under the battery voltage (while charging) is what I think is the capacity of the battery but I have never seen mine show a capacity even close to the capacity of my lipo pack I'm charging. Is it supposed to show the capacity of the lipo battery pack in total? Any information will definitely be appreciated. Thanks
1:37 I did the same thing but the recharge doesn't start. How come for me it pauses and doesn't start if I press start again? I set nimh since the pack to be recharged is this one.
How do I reset the whole charger memory. I had LiPo selected and started my settings and now I can get it to go back into LiPo and it is stuck in LiIo.
you can use NIMH just so you get peak voltage over what you need.. 1s 3.7V.. so charge it just to something between 3.2-4.2 and switch between charging modes really fast.... it takes a minute until the voltage, calms down to thze actual voltage. i aint electrician, i just know it works for me and i know that if i let it run longer than minute on NIMH i would forget its on wrong setting and had to deal with fire anyway
Charge speed is based on chargers amperage output setting. Depending on what the small charger is designed for, I’d say yes, this one is able to charge faster since you can set it to a higher amperage setting. Although it’ll likely wear out the battery faster.
The charger will beep when the battery is full. If you miss the initial beeping then the screen will flash with a message letting you know the charge is complete.
Thank you soo much dude for your time , i already killed 2 lipo batterie 😂, so am learning, i have ( 450mah / 100c / 3s / 11.4 / 5.13w ) what should i do to charge it ? I already buy the same charger b6
I guess it theoretically could (in 5s Li-Ion mode) if you managed to jury rig the connectors. The balance lead on the charger is JST-XH, but I've no idea how you'd go about wiring that to the batteries. Would be best to just get a dedicated device for your use case and not play around with potential lithium fire hazards.
@Frontline Foam thanks for that. i have another question.... I'm trying to balance charge a powerbank, the cells are in parallel with 3.7v each, 20 000 mAh capacity. do i desolder them and charge at 1C ? I was aiming for half 1C since the Imax is 6amp max, and that is super high. much appreciated!
@@chrispfeif5552 you should be able to charge at less than 6amps. I believe the lowest is 0.1amps. You’ll probably want to charge @3.7v or less and a low amperage, but the amperage really only determines how fast it will charge, so that’d be up to you.

I was quite nervous about using the lipo charger! This was super helpful. Thank you
Excellent, just need to ad the PSA for 'Storage' i.e after gameplay and putting the LIPo to bed safely.
Just change the setting to storage charge, and I always charge for storage at 1.0amp.
Ive always been charging with just the white balance connector. Whats the point of connecting the other wire?
this video was a great demonstration!

Very helpful, thought my lipo was damaged during shipping, it was just very low in voltage.. thank you for the hack..

How do you discharge?
I just bought this for discharge only
what is the name of pete's blue shotgun in the video not long ago

so fast, not even chance to see what button press for select and confirm all over charger :(
You charge your battery until it goes back to normal votlage right? Like how long do we charge the battery
Until it about 3.3volts x number of cells is the voltage to stop and change to lipo
amazing video thanks!
How much Volts do you usually need for an airsoft gun
Hi im gonna buy the IMAX B6 soon, and im wondering if the titan Li-ion is gonna work out of the box with this charger? A dean plug is included
After starting charging the battery the display stops showing info, gives a signal and shows only just black rectangles. What can it be?
Great instructions!
good job man
Great video. Thanks for the help!
Is there a way to check the state of a battery to know if it's charged or not? (Yeah my battery management isn't great)
Can you put it into storage mode?
How do you know when it's fully charged?
Battery charger auto shuts off and beeps at you
@@FrontlineFoamBlasters that's good to know, thank you..
Nice vid! When I stop charging how do I turn off imax? there is no turn off button
Just unplug the power supply.
Hi,
I have a weird battery with only balance wires. Is it possible to charge it with this charger?
I'm going to assume yes. Get the V2 of this charger. It's a very versatile and safe charger(V2).
Does this charger the battery faster than one of the small chargers they give you

hi, the A on my charger always get low went my battery are almost full..
just set for 2.2A but its get low to 0.1A.. help me pls..

Hello
I want to know how to see on this charger how much mah the lipo has .??
If I'm not mistaken there is no a high voltage charging, right?
Nope
I purchased this charger but didn’t realize it didn’t come with a power supply….
Anyone have a link to one that is compatible??
Thanks!
Great viedo
To the point
All the right Info
N0t 20 minutes long
Thank you
Cheers
Awesome!
Thanks bro
thank you
Will this charge a 21.1 V Dyson battery @ 26.1v Charging Volts?
I believe you can actually charge anything within the output range by selecting and creating a new program

Set lipo balance/ 0.5/3s lipo 11.1v
@@wk713 thanks man , i set it on 0.7 , i think it's fine
i have 1450 mah batteries, do i set to 1.4 or 1.5?
Do I put it to 5.2a since it’s a 3s 5200mah ?
Yes
I am looking for a way to test the capacity of my 18v power tool batteries can this device do that

@justken1337 agreed..I found something else that will do the job I need..thanks
what is the charge counter on the bottom right corner of display? anything to note or write down?
It’s charged capacity. Not super noteworthy imo.
