It was such a love story between Dors and Alan and so sad how it ended but she left a legacy of positivity behind and you can't think of her without smiling. This was lovely, thanks!
Thank you so much! Yes theirs was a great love story! One that is too often over looked! And yes - I completely agree - she always makes me smile when I think of her ❤️
Yes! What a thoughtful.and respectful.thing to do. You set the record straight. That's always a breath of fresh air. So many legends and stories often accompany the whispers at Wakes and Funerals..all.just gossip. Very N8ce and Peaceful, lack of judgemental views..just a nice lady praising Human Beings and quietly trying to figure it all.out..lovely Channel, i say!
At my Son Funeral a Robin came down and went round us believe Mr Husband or my Dear Son was telling me they r Together now 💔 and I belive that love ❤ Robin's x
I did not know how much Diana suffered with cancer before her untimely end. She sounded like an extremely strong lady who was beautiful inside as well as out. When I watch your videos on these legends of the screen it always makes me think about my sister who was again taken too soon, but you do it in such a kind and compassionate way it brings a smile to my face when I see your clips so thank you for that 🙂❤
Hi Gerry x I’m so sorry you lost your sister ❤️ that’s a painful loss to experience 🌹 Yes Diana had a really hard time but she always put a smile on her face and did the best job she could for her fans! When she was making ‘Steaming’ her last film - which was completed shortly before she died - she stopped taking the meds she had been prescribed because they made her nauseous and she felt they hampered her performance - she was such a professional - I could go on about her continuously 🤭 Thank you so much for your comment and once again - thank you for watching - it’s very much appreciated xxxx
Thankyou for sharing their story, very sad and their son gone too. That Robin who was there with you behind their graves, that was Diana saying hello and Thankyou for remembering us. Then flew away until you sit there again, and you leaving flowers which is a wonderful gesture. ❤
it is plain to see how much you admire Diana and Alan and thank you for sharing their story with us I had heard of Diana Dors but thanks to you I have fallen under her spell and have more to love about them both Strength and Love a message we all need in this world today and thank you for sharing and also for the way you present all your videos
I’m so very happy to read this!!! Thank you so much you’ve made my day! I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to red this - I’ve been out of action for a while but so happy to be back! Thank you again and thank you for watching the video ❤️❤️🌹

Another beautiful loving tribute. I remember Diana vividly on TV as a kid in the 70s & 80s, a regular fixture on our TV screens. I recall exactly where I was when Alan took his life, at my aunt's with my mum. Later on I got to know Jason a little and I gave him my copy of his mother's LP, an original copy Jason later on had re- released. A charming man almost Peter Pan like. RIP Jason, Alan & Diana.
Oh yes!!! That’s the perfect description - Peter Pan - he had such a youthfulness about him - I think he was stuck in his teens as it were - losing your parents at such an age - in the manner he did, I think it was incredibly difficult for him to move forward ❤️ that was very kind of you to give him the record and knowing Jason I know he would have been so happy! Thank you so much for watching 🌹
@@BeautifulBadandBizarre You knew Jason too! I wish I got to know Jason better but he moved, I think to the Kent coast. His then girlfriend ran the bar around the corner where I lived and Jason was living near Brixton. He told me several outrageous stories about rather outre parties at orchard manor, one in particular about Princes Margaret had me howling with laughter. Also befriending the woman who bought orchard manor after his parents died. Jason managed to smuggle out a couple of items of furniture. Naughty Jason. He also told me his towling robe was still hanging on the same peg in the pool house 20+ years later! Almost surreal.
Yes!!! Definitely in my top 3 favourite Diana Dors films - it was Diana’s personal favourite too - and the film she was most proud of making - she said 1956 was her vintage year!
Her beautiful personality was the making of her and obviously her looks as well. So sad to watch these actors on TV an film not knowing the pain and demons they sometimes hide. Thank you 💕🇦🇺
Thank you so much for your lovely comment ❤ Diana was such a great example of strength and courage and total honesty! She always made a huge effort never to let her fans down - in fact she should never have done her last engagement and was in agony but she didn’t want to let people down - I have the greatest love and admiration for her ❤ thank you for watching the video ❤❤❤
She was a beautiful woman I just loved her,I think what you do is fantastic as long as people like yourself say their name they will never be forgotten bless you xx
I can talk about Diana to the moon and back several times 🤭 she was sensational and so courageous! I have a dvd of her This is Your Life appearance - although she was on it twice - I only have the 1982 appearance - I’d love to see the 1957 episode in full!
@@BeautifulBadandBizarre She was for sure. The tabloid press tried to bring her down but they didn't succeed. Thanks for making this video, so well put together.
They did - although she did say she did say she sold her soul when she sold her memoir to the News of the World for £34k which was a lot of money in 1960! I love her so much - she was so honest about the mistakes she made and she always tried to do her best x
I did too! I’d just had my first daughter had had a few extra ponds to lose (still do - nothings changed! 🤭) and she was such an inspiration! I’d like to think the Robin was Diana too! 😍
Hi, I have just found this video, I don't know how I missed this one, Sorry, Another sad story about Diana Alan and the family, I think it's great that we can still see these actors on RUclips and DVD'S, Once again thanks for telling this story 💐👍👍
I am passionate about Diana and Alan! They have both left behind such interesting work - and such a compelling love story ❤️❤️🌹 Thank you so much for watching! Xx
I was lucky to have met her in the early 1980's. I was a young lad working on Saturdays in a dept store and she was paid to do an appearance. The place was packed and She had the air of a true Hollywood star. I had the chance to speak briefly to her. It was clear she loved "her" audience. I took a photo of her for my dad who was a big fan. All these years later I can still see her in the beautiful chiffon dress. A true star
Oh my goodness you’ve made my day! Thank you for sharing this lovely memory of Diana - I can just imagine her being like that too! She did love star treatment from everything I’ve heard and read! Adam Any said he had to wine and dine her and give her the full star treatment to get her to sign up to Prince Charming! My goodness I love her so much! Do you still have the photo? That really is something to treasure if you do! Your Dad had great taste in movie stars 🤩
Me too!!!! You’re so welcome ❤️ I try to visit Diana regularly and take fresh flowers 🌹 she was a great actress and such an interesting person 🥰 thank you for watching xx
That was so lovely ...great production there... and so informative ...excellent ...keep up the good work !!!!! And I am so looking forward to seeing your next topic
Thank you so much Karen! ❤ I adore Diana and am so fascinated with her work and her life - many people only see the glamour and the glitz but behind all that she was immensely brave and courageous ❤❤❤ thank you so much for watching ❤
I’ve watched this a few times Shar, really enjoyed it so much. Really grateful for you sharing with us all. Orchard manor gives you all the feels, gave me goosebumps watching it, such a beautiful place. Perfect hone it sounds for Diana & Alan, god bless them both and Jason with all my heart xx
Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed it - there is more on the way!!!! As you know how I feel about Miss Dors! Yes!!! Definitely vibes at Orchard Manor - you can imagine her driving up and down the lane - and walking down to the Sacred Heart! ❤️
She truly was! I think many people only ever think of her in the context of her tumultuous love life or as in ‘Britain’s Marilyn Monroe’ which I think is really unfair - she was so much more than that - as you say she was a very underestimated actress - I adore her to the moon and back several billion times 🤭🌹❤️
I love your voice - could listen all day. I’m a big fan of these stars and celebs, like you, but you always tell / show me something new that I didn’t know. Really enjoy your videos - thank you 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you so much for your lovely comment! 🥰 Diana and Alan are my favourite couple from the past! I’m thrilled to hear that you enjoy the videos and find them informative. It’s wonderful to know I’m sharing something new with you. Your support means a lot-thank you for watching! 🥰🥰🥰 xxxx
Thank you so much for sharing. Sometimes, even though we didnt know them personally, someone can inspire us, give us inner strength and we feel so connected. Some connections are meant to be dear Shar. I also think that being in nature is the best tranquilizer and healer. ❤ We live on our desert farm in Egypt 🇪🇬. I help my husband when i can (i am 65 and he is twenty years younger, so has more energy). However my time is my own and i often marvel at how i was brought here. God knew exactly what i needed after a lifetime of stresses. Some days i am good and other days i just struggle with every day things. Each day i spend some time in the gardens. Often just sitting with my three lovely doggies looking at nature. I always feel better and more alive! Thank you for all your lovely videos. I would be interested to know more about Diana's life if you ever feel inclined. Documentaries are one thing, factual, but when one has a real interest it brings the person back to life in a way ❤
Thank you so much for your lovely comment. I completely agree that even though we may not have known someone personally, their inspiration can deeply resonate with us, providing inner strength and a sense of connection. It's beautiful how certain connections feel destined to be cherished. I visited Diana and Alan yesterday, taking them roses - it was such a lovely peaceful day there - sunny too! Your life on your desert farm in Egypt sounds truly special. Spending time in nature truly is the best tranquilizer and healer, isn't it? Your routine of tending to the gardens and enjoying the company of your doggies sounds like such a peaceful and revitalizing way to spend your days. I have three Chihuahuas and they bring so much happiness to my life! I'm grateful for your kind words about the videos. I have been writing a book about Diana Dors - I wrote about her in my book 'Bombshells - Five Women Who Set the Fifties on Fire' but there was just so much more to say about her - that I felt she deserved a full biography - but I do fully intend to make a biographical video about Diana too - but I might have to make quite a few as I could talk about her for days and day lol Thank you for your support and for watching the video. Take care, and keep enjoying those beautiful moments in nature! ❤ xxxx
There weren't many blokes who didn't pause for thought when thinking about Diana Dors!! On a physical level, she was more than a match for the Hollywood bombshells. However, as she matured, the no nonsense character you mentioned moved sheer beauty aside and her acting moved up to the next level. Although this video doesn't dwell upon her achievements, this, I feel was deliberate. The personal review of her personal life is touching and you've given her and her hubby lots of respectful consideration. Well done. Carry on. Jxxxx Ps. I want to know where that Robin is buried. Please keep me notified.
I can imagine 🤭 she was sensational in films like Tread Softly Stranger - so stunning to look at and I agree definitely a match for the Hollywood bombshells - although I felt she wasn’t treated entirely fairly in Hollywood! I can quite easily talk forever about her acting achievements and issues but you’re quite right - this video was more personal than that ❤️ I think a lot of people have a certain view of Diana that doesn’t always correspond to the person she was - they don’t always realise how honest and courageous Diana Dors was - she wasn’t perfect and was the first to admit that - but who is? She owned her mistakes and got on with her life and I love her so much for that - I feel in that - she is a true inspiration! And I think the Alan also gets a bad rap - I think there was a whole lot more to both of them! Funny you should mention the Robin… sitting on the bench after taking them flowers on Sunday - a white feather floated down - laugh… make of it what you will but three of us sitting there thoroughly enjoyed that moment! ❤️ 🥰
@@BeautifulBadandBizarre at the moment, I'm ploughing through your videos. They're entertaining and informative. I like that you do these memorials. Whenever I hear of one of these entertainers dying, I always say a small thankyou for all the joy they bought into peoples lives. Even though many of them had such troubled lives themselves. Thanks for sharing
Thank you so much!!! Yes!!! I’m always so surprised when I research the lives of my favourite vintage entertainers - to find out that they had such problems and troubles - it makes me realise even more how amazing they were - to give us so much wonderful entertainment when things were often to difficult for them! ❤️❤️❤️

One of my favourite all time couples in entertainment history! I adore Diana and I love Alan too - I was so lucky to meet their son Jason - he was a real character and so like his dad to look at! xx
It’s very beautiful - Alan chose a Diana’s stone - however he actually wanted a more ornate memorial but it didn’t fit in with the cemetery rules - so he had to compromise ❤️
Thank you so much!!!! I’m crazy about Diana Dors! She was so amazing and such an inspiration! And I totally agree with you - she should not be forgotten!
@@racheljames6824 she loved writing - she didn’t want to continue with acting as she got older unless she was offered a part she really wanted to play - but she enjoyed writing so much - partly because she could work from home and not worry about how she looked!

hello to you thanks for sharing this great video of diana dors i visited the house a few years ago where did the original house sign go and did you get to see the house and is the pool still in there lets all remember diana with fondness memories of just how good she was as an english icon she was a one of actress
Hi Paul! Sadly I didn’t get to see inside the house - the sign went a few years back now - I took a photo of the original some years ago - I’m glad I did! So sad that they changed it instead of restoring it! The pool has deteriorated apparently and no long useable from what I understand - but you can purchase the house and restore it if you have a spare 3.5m it’s was on the market when I last looked!
I agree - so sad ❤ I also agree that Alan was brilliant in Doctor Who!!! He was actually a very good actor but I think he did live in Diana's shadow to a certain extent - most people focused on Diana xxx thank you so much for your comment and for watching xx
Thanks shar it made me feel a bit better seeing this as you may know I get very upset about Diana in May x also I've been in The manor the pool area etc x
Hi Damon - thank you so much for your comment! Yes totally understand about the anniversary - we popped in with more flowers yesterday - met a fabulous lady and her friend there who also looks after Alan and Diana - it was sparkling there yesterday and we met another Diana fan who was so lovely too! I didn’t know you’d been in Orchard Manor - I’d love to hear more about though! I also met an elderly gentlemen yesterday who knew Diana! He was telling me about her - it was just such a special day x
I remember as a kid in the 70s Diana Dors was the star guest at my hometown’s carnival. I’d have been about 6-7. I always remembered watching the carnival with my nan and cousins, and my nan waving at a blond lady in a Rolls Royce, she said Oooh Diana! Years later when Adam Ant’s Prince Charming video was on tv my mum reminded me of who my nan was waving to. I see that today, May 2022 Orchard Manor is still for sale, no pool though.
You were so lucky!!!! I would have loved to have seen her! Thank you so much for sharing that memory! Can you remember where the carnival was? Yes - I saw that about the pool in the house details - Alan built the pool for Diana - so sad it wasn’t kept as it was - I’d so love to visit inside the house though - the bar is still there!
Thank you! I’m out at the moment but I have some photos of Diana at various carnivals and events from that time - I’ll have a look and see if I have any from Essex!
She was! I’ve been to her house in Swindon and where she was born - not inside though - only viewed it from outside - was so lovely to see where it all began!
The best Mrs Wickens there ever could be! One of my favourite films - I can watch it all year round but I especially enjoy it at Christmas with a box of Black Magic and the Christmas tree lights twinkling!
I adore her - to the moon and back several million times! She was a wonderful actress - and Children of the Night was so good - my favourite Dors horror would have to be 'Nurse Will Make It Better' Diana was shockingly brilliant in that! xxxx
@@BeautifulBadandBizarre WOW - I had no idea - that is amazing. The first thing I zoomed in on was that tree - because they are so beautiful and they cast off those petals all spring and make me think of joy. Apple and Cherry blossom is my favourite trees. I can imagine their thinking when they thought of planting that. The beautiful petals will fall on her grave every year. Gorgeous. The robin was a sign - by the way, saying thank you for acknowledging them. A message to you.
@@kenn1936 It’s a beautiful spot - so tranquil ❤️ and yes it is such a lovely tree - it makes me think of the poem Diana narrates at the beginning of Yield ‘A loveliest Tree’ by Houseman - that’s a very nice thought about the Robin - I hope so ❤️
@@BeautifulBadandBizarre I know so, There are no coincidence in little things like that. Poor ,Diana . Her life was never an easy journey . My best memories of her acting career are ; Yield to the Night , a Ruth Ellis type of tale , Theatre of Blood with Dear old Vincent Price , and her cameo with , Adam Ant in his video for , Prince Charming . ; For Diana and Alan ; A long time together , a short time apart , together again , never to part .
Part of the reason I love her so much - there were many challenges in her life and there was not one challenge that she didn’t rise to! She did her very best no matter whether she was able to overcome the problem or not - she tried! Prince Charming gets me every time and believe me I’ve watched it countless times! That moment when she m’ams on the ‘cloud’ and then walks in through the smoke! Gets me literally EVERY time and then the very last bit when she has the close up - BEAUTIFUL!
My aunty was her seamstress and said the same about her in Jeans and a tshirt, flip flops and messy hair. But when she put her new dress on she looked fabulous. I'm proud of that. My aunty is at the same resting place, it's beautiful. x

I started collecting memories of DD in 2012 for a memory project I wanted to pursue, but ill health hit me on and off, but I do hope to finish it one day. I have some amazing photos of herself in Orchard Cottage in the late 1960's. She allowed an electrician to take pics of her in the late 1960's and then during my request for memories, he sent me the photos for my eventual book. I also have a great photo of DD on Concorde by the MAC Counter. She was a great gal and much missed. Alan was a great actor too !!!!
That’s amazing! What an exciting project! And how brilliant that you have those photos! I have been collecting Dors memorabilia for years too! It used to be a lot more affordable than Marilyn items - still is - but it’s gone up massively over the years! She was truly magnificent - I’m also extremely interested in Alan - Such strong and charismatic personalities - so fascinating!
@@BeautifulBadandBizarre Thank you - luckily everything I have I was given. I have the welcome home card Diana Dors made for Alan after he was released from prison, the guy who made it for Diana and was a local paper and card seller at the time, had a spare and sent it me. It is quite nifty really. I have loads of Picturegoer mags [plus film books] I was given years ago, which has many articles on Diana in the 1950's/60's and later in 1970's as well. and when she went to America with her second husband. I have a book by Diana which I forget the name of now, something like Indoors with Dors or similar titled, and it came out in the 1970's, I have loads of various photos sent by fans of themselves and there children with Diana Dors at various signings. The list goes on and I also have many interviews with people who met her or knew here. I will have to do something eventually. She had a coffee shop in Maidenhead at a Parade which I think has been demolished now, but when I started this project it was a Pizza place. I have some photos of the outside of the original place. This is brilliant! That’s amazing about the card too! I have collected vintage magazines since I was a teenage - love them - there used to be a shop in Newport Pagnell called ‘Ken’s’ and it was an absolute treasure cave of vintage ephemera and magazines! I got a fair bit of my Diana Dors, Marilyn Monroe and Jayne Mansfield bits and pieces from there way back in the day!
@@IanP1963 so true - everything is about the internet now - but the joy of searching through a shop like Ken’s - can’t be replaced by a purchase online! You never know what treasure you’ll uncover when you have the opportunity of looking through old papers and magazines etc!
I remember diana as one of big names in UK show business in the 70s. I remember Alan appearing in episodes of my favourite series, the sweeney and bergerac.👍
She was brilliant! A real working actress - she rarely turned down work - she said she found the 70s difficult - she wasn’t getting the roles she’s hoped for but she had bills to pay so she took films that under different circumstances she’d have turned down x Alan was a greater actor and in his early days of acting on stage too - he had some fantastic reviews - the critics loved him - it wasn’t all plain sailing though as his drinking was a problem that he and Diana struggled with together - it’s said that he managed to overcome the drinking only to lose his beloved Diana to cancer shortly afterwards - he felt incredibly guilty of what he put her through - my heart goes out to both of them ❤️
@@BeautifulBadandBizarre Its very sad that so many people in acting /showbusiness have an addiction to alcohol, for some it must be a way of coping with nerves.
I agree - I think for Alan it gave him bravado - to get on stage but the problem accelerated when he and Diana lost a baby to stillbirth and Alan’s mother died of cancer x

I think it was in 1981 that I went to see the musical Barnum. I was sat in the stalls, when I noticed a stir of whispers among the audience, and people staring at something behind me. A few rows back, to my delight I saw Diana Dors, I got up and noticed Alan Lake sitting next to her. People were talking to her and asking for her autograph. Diana was very obliging and friendly, although I felt a bit sorry for Alan as no-one wanted his autograph. He had been in Doctor Who, which endeared him to me. I wish I had told her and him how much I enjoyed watching them on screen, I was very shy though and not having a pen with me I didn't like to ask them for their autographs. I shall never forget that evening. Amongst the many films and TV series I have seen Diana in I think my favourites are Yield to the Night, A Kid for Two Farthings, The Amazing Mr. Blunden, and The Two Ronnies.
That is such a WONDERFUL story! You’ve made my day! I can picture them while reading your words - and I would have been exactly the same as you! I would t have approached them either - even though I would desperately of wanted to! And how you’ve described the scene regarding Alan is very much how I understand him to have been from what people who knew him have told me! Thank you again for sharing this amazing story!
Where is Jason Buried?!! RIP to all three of them!! What a terrible loss....way to soon for Jason as well!! Lastly, it really breaks my heart that Diana and Alan did not have a better plan for Jason and his other two half brothers financially within a will to make sure that they all would have been taken care of if one/both of them passed!!! Jason was a wonderful man and a kind and loving child growing up who simply adored his mother!!! He is truly missed as well!!!
Hi Laurie - I am so sorry I've taken so long to reply to this comment, I've only just seen this! Jason was cremated, I don't know exactly what happened to his ashes - I believe they may have been scattered but I'm not sure. Diana and Alan did make plans for Jason, and they did leave money in their wills, a considerable amount for 1984 but sadly not enough to sustain the lifestyle they lived - they also made Gary Jason's guardian, obviously Diana didn't expect Alan to do what he did - so she probably thought it wouldn't be an issue - and that Gary would never have to take on that responsibility. Just so sad all round xxxx

1970-1972 I was only a child and loved watching 'Queenie's Castle' It was filmed in Leeds at what was the long since demollished 'Quarry hill flats'. 'Queenie's Castle - s03e05 Mr Faintheart' can be seen here on youtube, enjoyable to watch.
I agree - I think they were so deeply in love with each other - not that they didn't have flaws in their relationship - but the beauty and strength of their relationship was that they were able to overcome so many challenges and hold on to their love until the end and I think beyond xxxx
nature is wonderful! I went to the supermarket today walking as I do and a flock of juvenile Muscovy ducks was just laying against a tree trunk asleep and I approached them kneeling down fully expecting the quack pack to run away they didn't, in fact, I got closer, and closer until I got close enough to touch/stroke the quack pack and, they let me!!! the quack pack was quite comfortable with being petted in fact most were asleep in a huddle when I met them but when I awakened the friendly first the rest arose and rushed into my lab! cuddling me!! ps duck bills as they bite you are like in feeling like they have teeth but they don't.
I believe my friend Paul Sullivan ( who runs dors website ) helped pay for the stone he adores her , what a lovely little video , they really were made for each other eh ? Soo in love , Alan just couldn’t cope without her , and how lovely to have blossom falling on your gravestone ❤
Alan paid for the stones - well his sister took care of it for Alan - he chose Diana’s stone and Vilma arranged to have Alan’s match Diana’s x Alan actually wanted something much grander - but the regulations for the cemetery didn’t allow it x There is a wonderful lady called Christina - who goes regularly and keeps the stones clean and looks after the lovely pots of flowers 💐❤️
@@nickcolby1391 oh are you sure that’s not Sean? He tells people he has them cleaned - Christina has been cleaning them for quite some time now - she’s goes very regularly - she lives nearby xx
On the night that Diana Dors died, we were travelling to see relatives in Devon, the radio was giving bulletins on her every hour during the news. I was so upset. By the time we reached Devon, she had died. I always remember where I was when I heard the news, a bit like they everyone knew where they were when President Kennedy was killed.
Thank you for sharing your memory. I can completely relate to how you felt-I was just as shocked and saddened by the news of Diana Dors' passing. It’s incredible how such moments can stick with us so vividly, like where we were when we heard the news. Diana’s loss felt deeply personal to so many of us, and it's heartbreaking to think of it. I do get frustrated when people only think of her in terms of 'Britain's Marilyn Monroe' etc - because she was such an incredibly courageous woman, who took on more than her fair share of life's challenges - as you can probably tell I'm very passionate about her! Thank you again for your lovely comment and for watching the video - it's very appreciated xxxx
I think she was also in a fave film of mine The amazing Mr Blunder I could be mistaken but it's something similar to that, and Oliver Reed is buried in Irealand oppersite his fave pub.
@@BeautifulBadandBizarre Thank you I knew it began with a B lol my memory is bad at the best of times, I did research all of my fave film actors\actresses I tried to do all of Fagens boys as I have a fave one but got stuck and could not go any further with it.
@@BeautifulBadandBizarre yeah I did before my Autistic burnout where I lost a whole lot of memories and hence why my memory is now worse then ever, going through your vid’s brings so many of them back, Thank You and please keep up your amazing work 💚🥰💚
Oh that’s frustrating! I’m glad my videos are helping though! You’ll get there! Sometimes you just need a small reminder and it all falls into place ❤️❤️❤️
That happened to me when i visited my mums grave a little while back, i just happened to look up while i was arranging some flowers and there was a robin on the top of her stone looking straight at me, it made a chirping noise it put its head down and flew off, its supposed to mean a visit from that person who has passed on saying hello. !!
Thank you for sharing that! It’s heartwarming when things like that happen - Robins are so pretty too and it does feel exactly like you are having a little visit! It certainly puts a smile on your face - it made my day to see that sweet Robin at Diana’s grave ❤️ I’m sure it was your mum’s way of saying thank you for the flowers 🌹
I’d like to think so! I had to pass Sunningdale yesterday so I delivered her and Alan some roses - what a beautiful peaceful day it was there 🌹 Thank you so much for watching xx
She was a beautiful lady great actress so much sadness her dying of cancer then Alan shot himself months later that was real love he couldn't be without his soul mate sadness for there poor son
I agree with you! I have researched Diana’s life in depth - am actually still on that mission! And the more I uncover about her life the more I realise just how hard working she was and how focused and determined - she was so admirable too the way she dealt with a succession of life’s blows including several bouts of serious illness - Alan was devastated and distraught at losing Diana - she was the strength and safety for Alan and the absolute love of his life from the first day he met her - although he had many struggles during their relationship that Diana had to deal with too ❤️ it was incredibly heartbreaking for Diana’s sons to lose her - and for Jason losing both parents at such a young age - well, words just can’t adequately cover that kind of pain and sadness xxxxx

Beautiful and respectful of you to keep them alive in spirit

I did not know how much Diana suffered with cancer before her untimely end. She sounded like an extremely strong lady who was beautiful inside as well as out. When I watch your videos on these legends of the screen it always makes me think about my sister who was again taken too soon, but you do it in such a kind and compassionate way it brings a smile to my face when I see your clips so thank you for that 🙂❤
Hi Gerry x I’m so sorry you lost your sister ❤️ that’s a painful loss to experience 🌹
Yes Diana had a really hard time but she always put a smile on her face and did the best job she could for her fans! When she was making ‘Steaming’ her last film - which was completed shortly before she died - she stopped taking the meds she had been prescribed because they made her nauseous and she felt they hampered her performance - she was such a professional - I could go on about her continuously 🤭
Thank you so much for your comment and once again - thank you for watching - it’s very much appreciated xxxx
A very caring tribute. Thank you

Thankyou for sharing their story, very sad and their son gone too. That Robin who was there with you behind their graves, that was Diana saying hello and Thankyou for remembering us. Then flew away until you sit there again, and you leaving flowers which is a wonderful gesture. ❤

Yield to the Night was a great movie and Diana Dors showed in her performance what a great actress she was. RIP Diana, Alan and sadly Jason.

Diana Was simply fabulous. Such charisma. I watched her This is your life on You Tube the other day. She twinkled all through.
I used to watch her on morning tv when she was slimming and helping viewers to slim. She was lovely natured lady. I bet that little Robin was Diana xx
I did too! I’d just had my first daughter had had a few extra ponds to lose (still do - nothings changed! 🤭) and she was such an inspiration! I’d like to think the Robin was Diana too! 😍

She truly was! Thank you so much for sharing. Sometimes, even though we didnt know them personally, someone can inspire us, give us inner strength and we feel so connected. Some connections are meant to be dear Shar. I also think that being in nature is the best tranquilizer and healer. ❤
We live on our desert farm in Egypt 🇪🇬.
I have been writing a book about Diana Dors - I wrote about her in my book 'Bombshells - Five Women Who Set the Fifties on Fire' but there was just so much more to say about her - that I felt she deserved a full biography - but I do fully intend to make a biographical video about Diana too - but I might have to make quite a few as I could talk about her for days and day lol
Thank you for your support and for watching the video.

Well done.
Carry on.
Jxxxx
Ps.

@@BeautifulBadandBizarre It was Sept. 1979. There’s no record of it online. It was an Essex town’s carnival.
Thank you! I’m out at the moment but I have some photos of Diana at various carnivals and events from that time - I’ll have a look and see if I have any from Essex!
Diana was stunning and a fantastic actress. And was born not far from me in Swindon.
She was! I’ve been to her house in Swindon and where she was born - not inside though - only viewed it from outside - was so lovely to see where it all began!
I love her in the film the amazing Mr Blunden.. Gone far to soon. X
The best Mrs Wickens there ever could be! One of my favourite films - I can watch it all year round but I especially enjoy it at Christmas with a box of Black Magic and the Christmas tree lights twinkling!
Absolutely I have the Dvd in our campervan and on a cold ,wet afternoon it a dvd of choice and my daughter love it too.
That sounds amazing! I’d love a camper van!
Loved her in the hammer collection mrs appledor .children of rhe night .sleep well youve earnt it 🙏✨
I adore her - to the moon and back several million times! She was a wonderful actress - and Children of the Night was so good - my favourite Dors horror would have to be 'Nurse Will Make It Better' Diana was shockingly brilliant in that! xxxx
I love the fact the graves has an apple blossom tree next to them. Thank you for doing this video.
Jason and Alan planted the tree ❤️ Thank you so much! It was my pleasure to do ❤️
@@BeautifulBadandBizarre WOW - I had no idea - that is amazing.
When you see something like a butterfly or a bird, or even a beautiful feather when talking about someone who has passed away, they are saying 'THANK YOU'. You can rest assured that they were thanking you for doing this video, and acknowledging you being there.
@@BeautifulBadandBizarre How often do you see a Robin in May???? Yes I think that was special and deliberate at the same time.
My aunty is at the same resting place, it's beautiful. x
Oh my GOODNESS!!! You have no idea how happy you have just made me!!!! I’m OBSESSED with Diana’s clothes and style - I LOVE THIS! I’d also love to hear more about your Aunty! If you’d be happy to email you can find me at shar@hotmail.co.uk or message me on my Instagram page if you have insta - I can be found @shardaws - no worries if not but I’m just so excited to hear this and it’s lovely to know they are both at the same resting place - it’s so pretty and tranquil there ❤️
Thank you for your reply. I will come back to you. 😀 I have love what you do. x
Thank you so much!!! That would be so lovely! ❤️
Apparently it was a buzz place to be in the 1950's and 60's - www.maidenhead-advertiser.co.uk/gallery/maidenhead/167867/toucan-tribute-to-diana-dors-maidenhead-links.html
@@BeautifulBadandBizarre Wonderful places all dying out sadly....
@@IanP1963 so true - everything is about the internet now - but the joy of searching through a shop like Ken’s - can’t be replaced by a purchase online! You never know what treasure you’ll uncover when you have the opportunity of looking through old papers and magazines etc!
Great vid thanks for sharing she came from my town
Thank you - my pleasure! Swindon? ❤️ I’ve been to her birth place and seen her home from outside! Was lovely to look around there!

@@BeautifulBadandBizarre theres david hemmings grave actor and producer in calne which is about 15 miles no one has filmed that yet
@@timelord74 ohhhh! A good friend of mine lives in Calne! X I never knew that!
I remember diana as one of big names in UK show business in the 70s. I remember Alan appearing in episodes of my favourite series, the sweeney and bergerac.👍
She was brilliant! A real working actress - she rarely turned down work - she said she found the 70s difficult - she wasn’t getting the roles she’s hoped for but she had bills to pay so she took films that under different circumstances she’d have turned down x Alan was a greater actor and in his early days of acting on stage too - he had some fantastic reviews - the critics loved him - it wasn’t all plain sailing though as his drinking was a problem that he and Diana struggled with together - it’s said that he managed to overcome the drinking only to lose his beloved Diana to cancer shortly afterwards - he felt incredibly guilty of what he put her through - my heart goes out to both of them ❤️
@@BeautifulBadandBizarre
Its very sad that so many people in acting /showbusiness have an addiction to alcohol, for some it must be a way of coping with nerves.
I agree - I think for Alan it gave him bravado - to get on stage but the problem accelerated when he and Diana lost a baby to stillbirth and Alan’s mother died of cancer x
Great video loved Diana so glad the house is there still. Wouldn't it be great to go in and have a look round. Thanks
That would be my dream come true! I’d love to have a browse around - I believe the swimming pool area is now in a state of disrepair sadly x
@@BeautifulBadandBizarre it would be a great resto project.
If you could afford it! It was recently on the market for around 3 million!
@@BeautifulBadandBizarre will keep doing the lottery lol 😂. Wonder if its really Haunted? The amount of stars that used to go to the famous party's if only walls could talk untold stories. Wonder why Alan shot himself in their sons bedroom... Has allways puzzled me that one?
@@paulmartin4971 Diana said it was! She was very interested in stuff like that - she’d been known to do the ouija board - with Roger Moore no less 🤭 she said Orchard Manor was haunted by a Monk!
I loved this film. The matching graves and the blossom floating down over them. Thank you for this little glimpse into their love and lives. The photos were wonderful. Why did their son die so young?
Thank you so much! Jason struggled with life and he had many challenges - I’m not sure of the full circumstances - I just know he was always absolutely lovely to me - very charismatic and charming and it was a terrible loss to his family and friends x
@@BeautifulBadandBizarre I believe he had an issue with alcohol - it's not surprising he struggled after the loss of both his parents, and especially the circumstances of his father's passing. What a sad, sad story.
Yes he did struggle with alcohol - and I completely agree with you - he went through so much losing both his parents the way he did at such a young age ❤️
My only daughter was born in the Princess Margaret Windsor and our favourite two movies to watch when she comes over from L.A each year is Steptoe & Son Ride again and The Amazing Mr. Blunden both starring this goddess of the screen Diana Dors. R.I P U2.

A beautiful relationship loved each other could not be without her romantic
I agree - I think they were so deeply in love with each other - not that they didn't have flaws in their relationship - but the beauty and strength of their relationship was that they were able to overcome so many challenges and hold on to their love until the end and I think beyond xxxx
Very interesting thank you from New Zealand 😊😊

nature is wonderful!

That happened to me when i visited my mums grave a little while back, i just happened to look up while i was arranging some flowers and there was a robin on the top of her stone looking straight at me, it made a chirping noise it put its head down and flew off, its supposed to mean a visit from that person who has passed on saying hello. !!
