Time bikes are so under appreciated.
I don't think it is, time is getting more and more attention by the day, which is great I think
They seem to be getting more and more attention, because they're simply beautifully made in a day and age of generic eastern carbon frames with terrible tolerances. I hope to get one before the prices inevitably start to go silly!
@@Pablosammy1 It's weird that 9/10 cyclist here in Bratislava (Slovakia) have no idea that Time Bicycles are made in a factory 45km away in a small village Gajary.
Those who know, know.
@@Pablosammy1 they are already silly. On par with quality, at least!
Love this. Love that you weighed it too
British cyclists must be admired. Riding in such awful weather year round is truly a dedication to a lifestyle/activity/sport
Makes it all the sweeter when we get to travel to all the other beautiful countries in Europe to enjoy our bikes properly!
It looks miserable, it often is, but some of my most memorable rides have been in conditions most people would stay at home in. Some of my most miserable rides have been in hot direct sun. There is a beauty to riding in rain (sometimes!)... honest
That is an absolutely beautiful bike. Time frames. When you know, you know.
Its nice to see you have captured how backyard actually operates, Nic in the background having a coffee and James doing all the work 😂😉
Absolute stunner jimmi ! Well known fact ! Red bikes are faster 👍
As Ron Burgundy says, "it's science."
I just got my TIME frame set in gloss carbob and installed Shimano mechanical groupset ; ) Ride is a as smooth as silk. With cgeapest DT Swiss alu wheels, Ultegra mechanica disc, and anu handle bar. Fizyk seat with Deda Superbox stem and seatpost, all 8.1kg ; ) For another 4K I could have 7.5kg? No way!
What model frame did you get?
@phatmandon22 Carbon wheels, please. Smooth as butter 🧈
I will own a Time frame at some point. They’re just so beautiful
12:29. That was the most mind blowing bike mechanic Jedi mind trick I've ever seen.
A thing of beauty...
Yesssss , thanks Jimmi , Nic and James
time have changed one thing...they are finally advertising!!! an exceptional product
Owned by 'Mericans now. Rossignol sold.
Just amazing; we need more Times :)
Well done on this build. Deda Alenera bars are an absolute pain to route cables through - good to see you still had a smile on your face at the end
one of my whishlist frame of all time. hope someday my budget can afford Time.such a masterpiece
WOW 😍
Stunning bike. These videos are so soothing. 😂
Super luxury everything and midrange tyres 🤔
Stunning bike
damn that Skyrim tavern NPC chatter background noise hits different
Another dose of bike build Zen. Thank you! Not a torque wrench in sight?
This is a deadly looking sled Jimmi. I need SRAM upgrade to my drivetrain...looks so good.
Doggo approved. The cutaway with the ear raise made me laugh 😂
Quite therapeutic to watch absolutely beautiful bike Jimmi great content wish we had a shop/cafe in Newport South Wales.
Magnifique..! 😍
excellent stuff as always
Bravo!!
That's one nice looking bike 😍
Gorgeous!
Very red and very very nice another happy punter,. Bella was well behaved chatting with Emily.
Bella's always well behaved. An angel.
Nice. Real nice. 👍🇮🇪
Love the mask wearing! Often overlooked. I went with a SRAM force chainring with Red crank arms for the all black look and this bike would look sick with that setup.
Or Rival!!
@@Jimmidoesstuff if you want the weight penalty :p
what like 300 grams? 😂😂
@@Jimmidoesstuff I guess I wouldn't mind the weight as much as I would mind the difference in feel. Going from old force chain ring to new actually felt stiffer/solid to me but it could be placebo
Sweet. Liked it
Dream 🤩🤑
Clean looking bike ❤
Beautiful bike! Love these build videos, just hope the lack of a foam sleeve on the rear brake line isn't going to cause a rattle while riding..
The 2 man job to fix integrated cables
Paint reminds me the VX special pro👍
Nice. Would look even better in a darker red/maroon.
Deda acciai ... Vittoria... selle San Marco ....💚💚🤍🤍❤❤ good job🦾
nice bike! 7.4 kilo's, without bottle cages, pedals and garmin mount that is the same as my 2017 CAAD 12 with 105 rim brakes. I guess that's progress
I have Sram Etap 11spd. I quite like the 2 button shifting...very nice!
Although....
The 11spd and AXS 12spd both use the HRD brakes. Which suck.
My next bike will be DuraAce ...
Probably an Alpe Du' Huez
After Viewing the Time Factory Manufacturing of there Frames l would say without a Doubt that they would be HANDS DOWN THE BEST FRAMESETS IN THE WORLD 🌎. And by a fair margin .
I currently ride a SL5 Expert Tarmac with lots of upgrades. In fact the upgrades r identical 2 the current sl7 except 4 the frame. Did them over a few yrs. Just added the 12 speed di2 ultegra.
Also building up a SL7 S-Works Tarmac. Dura Ace Di2 12 Speed Groupset. Time Xpro 15 Peddles.
S-WORKS Power Mirror Saddle.
FSA VISION ONE PIECE CARBON COCKPIT . And ×2 sets of Roval Rapide CLX Wheelsets.
CLX 52/60 Aero & CLX 32 Climbing.
All l need now is 4 the Surgeon over the next 6/8 weeks get rid of 24 hr aday Concussion Headaches and Migraines for the last 6yrs from a Motor Vehicle Accident.
×2 Visits 2 the Hospital 🏥.
May have one more in September.
Times fixn to blow up in US i think. Looking at an alp for myself soon 🤔
A thing of beauty if you can pony up the $13,000.
Beautiful bike and build! On the heavy side though. Not a single torque wrench featured, I hope they were used anyway!
Gorgeous bike, but so heavy.
Huge upgrade to the video with the Emily and Bella sightings
Hahha
Jimmi can I ask you how many mm of spacers you used on the drive and non drive side of crankset? Thanks
What's the max tire size can you squeeze in it? Time says 28mm ,however, frames usually can take more.
It hurts watching this video. I've had this same frame (Chroma Red) in XL on order since December. Just this week Time said that theyre prioritizing the more popular sizes. I switched my order to a Large (use a longer stem) in Chroma Blue and it shipped out yesterday. I hope the Blue looks as good as the red🤞🤞
This is sooo stunning, I'm seriously considering it love the deda integrated bar and the Nsw's 😍, what's the build cost?
🤩🤙🏼
Its a shame that nowhere they used a torque wrench to tighten any bolts per the specs, instead used that crappy multi allen key tool!
pretty nice bike and great built! can you tell what size it is? Greets
What is the size of this frame ?
After watching a few builds, the question on my mind is why do they bother attaching the brake hose in the package, when the first step after unboxing is to snap them off anyway?
It went together easily in less than an hour. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Make sure the front fork is forward or the pedals will hit the front tire. Tires are both a little soft so it needs air before I ride it. The rear wheel didn't come with a clamp regular bolts hold it on. The front had the clamp. No scratches out of box. Rims are a little off with a slight wobble. They could have spent more time with the spoke tool fixing the run out. So far out of the box I'm happy with it. I did replace the pedals with a nice aftermarket set. After riding it a bit my A$$ is a bit sore so I ordered another seat. Overall I'm nearly 60 and didn't ride a bike in 30 years. I like my new 29" Schwinn. It will be used for casual rides with my friend.
I don’t remember the last time I rode a bike without pedals. Why the freak do they continue to weigh the bikes without?
I'm a little surprised this bike owner went with the "old" Red vs. the "new" Force, but then that would've screwed up your video title.
How much would a build like this cost?? Unbelievable
7.4 kg for a climbing bike with Sram Red? No thanks.🤔
You all usually skip the DOT grease on the hose barb and compression nut?
great bike! one question: is this a size s? if so, what is the approx saddle height? thanks and all the best, andreas
Nice video! What's the blue hose router thingy? :)
So confused. Isn't that the headset compression ring for the FSA headset? Or did I get mine backwards?
Your comparative impression on this vs the Vielo frame please?
Had any problems inserting BB?
What compressor and inflator head are you using please?
Time - if you know, you know.
Reason for Using zipp and SRAM?
Is it intentionally making the cloning bike more heavy and more problem ? 😅
where's the bike shop, its so cool!
Newcastle.
Just curious. Do you often use Parktool ASC-1 anti-seize compound for head bearings and BB?
I use PPL-1 Polylube grease for non-thread contact points but curious to see if I should use ASC-1 instead.
the product description says "Park Tool Anti-Seize Compound reduces friction in threaded and press fit applications for easy assembly and disassembly. Ideal for bottom bracket and pedal threads, pressed headset cups, seat posts, quill stems, etc. ASC-1 seals and protects parts from corrosion and rust under the most extreme conditions."
Jimmi how many Time bikes do you have? I'm not complaining.
One pink one. my bike build videos are mostly Nic’s customers bikes at his bike shop.
These tires look massive, what's their size?
Good question. Time says they support up to 28mm, but zipp 353's are already 30mm wide
Those are 28's.
@@rayF4riothx, i saw the video description later on, but still curious to know how wide they run on 353s 🤔
@@marcinpomorski I have the 303FC with the 25mm internal width. 30mm Conti 5000 STR's run 32 mm.
@@marcinpomorski they should be around 31mm. and my 30mm vittorias are exactly 33mm on an 25mm ID rim.
Which expansion plug are you using for the steer tube?
looked like the deda one too me, got the same - super solid in 70mm
Where is this place, bike shop that is?
Whats size this bike? 54cm?
Size of the frame?
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why bikes with internal cable routing are such a total pain in the a…
its not that you need to re-do them once you setup the bike.
Needs Campy. SRAM is a sham!
anyone able to see what frame size this is?
Oh, it was a medium or large. Can't remember.
He's not using torque wrenches anywhere.
Comming new Time bikes made in USA,North Carolina...100% made.. no more Time from Europe
Not sure that's true. My guess would be the Euro production stays. But we'll see.
The own press releases of the new owner say the production of frames will stay in Slovakia. Maybe that will change in a few years, but the US factory is meant to assemble bikes for the US market, as i understand it. I think the Slovakia factory can produce 5000 frames a year, given they even weave their own fiber, it's not something you can move overnight. Rossignol spent years consolidating frame production in Slovakia.
Ok but when will there be another Shimano build ? 😂😂😂
What’s wrong with SRAM? Less pfaff
@@MJarthur95 Nothing i just feel like it's only Sram, so a build or two with Shimano would be nice.
I imagine it depends on what the client(s) order
What Polar said, this are customer builds of backyard Bike Shop, that I film. See very few Shimano bikes these days through the shop. But to be fair, BYBS are definitely a very a high end custom bike shop.
But still a bit heavy without pedals or cages.
Just sent you my address with freight paid. Red on red.
and that right there is why i hate integrated bars, such a faff, needs 2 pairs of hands to install it ffs, gimme a normal bar and stem anyday
Now I'm pretty much positive I will never, EVER buy a Time frame. I was actually toying with the idea of a ADH 01 for my upcoming 50th birthday but I won't. I love beautiful bikes but they can't be THAT beautiful, because as it happened to me already in the past when I owned beautiful ( and crazy expensive ) bikes I just wasted time in baby them and ogle at them instead of riding the crap out of them like I'm doing with my trusty Canyon.
I know what you mean. At 51 myself. That being said, im going to buy one and ride the crap out of it. Life is too short. Will be on one of these SOON! Not stopn till the wheels fall off, then i will get new wheels!
Rim brake more better
Well, perhaps aesthetically. But definitely not for stopping.
Yes amature cyclist and weekend warriors need disc brakes for sure
F Time!!! Every component is a pain in the thing!!! 👎👎👎
huh? It's the same what are you talking about?
