Selwyn Ward was pretty awesome to played the first African American Red Ranger of the Power Rangers franchise ever since he played T.J. Johnson the second Red Turbo Ranger in PR Turbo back in 1997.

Despite Turbo being a sad season, the ending song from its movie was amazing.
So true. Turbo was so bad, it almost killed the Power Rangers franchise to the point where Power Rangers in Space was to be the final series (until In Space got so popular, it saved the franchise from cancellation).

It was pretty sad when the Rescue Megazord and the Turbo Megazord were both destroyed in the battle against Goldgoyle in Part 1 of the PR Turbo finale Chase into Space. It was also pretty sad and similar when the Thunder Megazord and the White Tigerzord were both destroyed in the battle against Rita Repulsa's brother Rito Revolto in the MMPR season 3 episode Ninja Quest: Part 1.

I used to watch the Power Rangers turbo movie back when I was a little kid
Power Rangers Turbo is the Sad Season because:
1. Zordon, Alpha 5 and Lerigot leaves
2. TJ, Cassie, Ashley and Carlos replaces Tommy, Kat, Tanya and Adam
3. Goldgoyle (Emperor Exhaus) destroys Rescue Megazord and Turbo Megazord
4. Weapons has sacrified to destroy Goldgoyle (Emperor Exhaus)
5. Dimitria and The Blue Senturion (Signalman) leaves
6. The Power Chamber has been breached to destroy the Turbo Rangers to blow the building
7. Zordon has been captured by Dark Specter and The Evil Alliance
8. Justin decides to leave and the other 4 rangers leaves to space and then go to meet the Megaranger suits.

Justin stood out hella hard during that era, you cant even hide that XD. the mmpr Turbo movie was a decent redeeming aspect for his character intro... but even then its still limited at that. the growing awkwardness was a turnoff for trying to relate him.
you got a point there; an Alpha model was on board with the Deca AI in 'In Space'. I don't think it was the same model as the one on Earth we saw but I'm certain they're all connected inbeing updated with events happening
@@Cameron_611You do realize the original premise of "Power Rangers" and "Super Sentai" on which it was based to a lesser extent(In the Sentai,not all the actors were native Japanese,some were Korean or Filipino which considering all the political tensions in Southeast and West Asia at the time was remarkable!) was quite literally strength through diversity vs. uniform-looking monsters,right?

Power Rangers Turbo ended terribly and almost lend to the cancellation of the Power Rangers. I was glad it got better during Power Rangers in Space. And it got a lot better in Power Rangers Lost Galaxy!

I really hope they do more music like this in the show.
This movies soundtrack makes me feel like this is sort of a “next chapter” for the series, like power rangers seasons 1-4 ending and turbo being the swan song or aftermath with our old rangers having a few more adventures before giving it to the next gen. I wish Zeo had a firmer ending so this series’ left and right rebooting would’ve been more satisfying and matched that feeling I get when I hear this and turbo time.
That's what Linkara said Turbo should've been. It should've been about the rangers graduating to the next level and facing the challenges of the adult world but sadly we didn't get that. It's easy to see now with the benefit of hindsight but at the time it seemed like the show was replacing everyone it could. Ernie was gone, Bulk and Skull were invisible then monkeys, Zordon and Alpha were replaced with Demetria and Alpha 6 who was annoying to listen to, and everyone aside from Justin was replaced who were pretty much untested noobies!
It didn't help that the writers of the show were torn between making Turbo a dark epic and embracing the slapstick of the source material. Luckily the ratings improved enough for them to get one more season and it saved the franchise while wrapping up most of the lingering plot threads. (Most, some are still dangling to this day like the fates of Prince Gasket and Archarina)
I didn’t necessarily need this season to be dark and all about being an adult (though if the original cast stayed all through then yes the should have). I think zeo did a good enough job of upping the ante.
I think I’m otherwise fine with the lighter tone and rebooting just as long as Zeo had actually closed out the MMPR era which it didn’t, leaving me with a feeling of dissatisfaction by the time of passing the torch
Also it’s totally weird how Tommy and the crew didn’t interact with bulk and skull once before leaving
Dunno if you’re into the boom comics but in shattered grid they showed the zeo Rangers still having battles after Jason left and the villains were blown up, I’m hoping boom one day fleshes out the transition to turbo with a series or graphic novel

Unpopular opinion but I prefer turbo to zeo! The reason is Unmorphed fights, there’s none in zeo and the Unmorphed fights have always been one of my fave parts of power rangers

The song is called Overdrive. This song was used in the beginning scene of the PR Zeo episode Where in the World is Zeo Ranger 5? when Tommy Oliver the Red Zeo Ranger was jet skiing in Angel Grove Lake before he was kidnapped by Prince Gasket.

My only problem with turbo is that, why would you swap out the zeo powers with turbo powers? They should have just introduced a new team from the start. I do like turbo tho.
Or something like they did with Super Megaforce where can they morph from Zeo to Turbo like they did with the Megaforce powers.

I loved the movie.
They did the same thing when mighty morphin did the ninja powers and just repeated the same first 3 episodes like the movie. They learned they did it right this time even though both movies rocked and were awesome
