I think most health workers use Asics Gel Kayanos series due to its stability support and comfortness. It makes a drastic difference especially for performing surgeries that requires more than 3 hours of standing.

using a purpose built racing shoe as a grocery getter is probably the stupidest thing... Seeing a guy wearing a carbon plated running shoe just for "looking trendy" makes my brain hurt

I recently bought a pair of HOKA one Clifton’s to see what all the hype is about them an here in NYC a lot of people have been wearing them (mainly whites) but this whole elevated sole thing is getting out of hand. But what I don’t see is hardly anyone wearing a HOKA hoodie, tee shirt and for me that says something. As for the sneakers it seems to be a fashion trend to walk in the park with your dog kinda thing with them and the fact they come in bright colors makes them cool. But for me when a sneakers sole is almost as big as the sneaker itself, it’s getting out of hand as now other brands are doing the same thing, looking like orthopedic sneakers?

That's very true, they do look like orthopedic shoes.
I’m sure as Hoka gets bigger we will see them expanding to other sportswear. As of now, I believe they want to build their customer base and focus on their core business, sneakers.
I hope you enjoyed the video :)

@@RiseReport Hoka's do not have any higher soles than Nike, Asics, Puma, etc. It's the recent trend, most sneakers coming out this year have midsoles around 4cm.

When I first got a pair in 2021, I had never heard of them before. I am not a runner. But I walk my dog 2 miles most nights and have a job that requires carrying gear and standing a lot. Haven't bought a different brand since I got on board with this shoe

Thank you Hoka for coming out max cushion shoe. I have been using the brand since 2015 when their design still ugly and durability still terrible. But I love its comfy and makes my feet and joint happy and brings me to run further. Back then, everyone was crazy over minimalist shoes. I tried to follow the trend but i always injured my calf so i decide to go for cushy shoes and saw on the internet, running warehouse from US, the brand call Hoka. I gave it a try and falling in love with it.

Bought Gaviota 5 which is a support shoe (version of the Bondi).
Been wearing it for a week on morning walks/run and have found my feet feel better from over pronating and planta fasciitis.
Plus they look cool ! 😎
Better than the ASICS Kayano I had which pinched my inside heel leaving blisters.
Best walking shoe I’ve had. Worth the extra $ when you think your health is no 1

Your story resonates with me, because I was actually deciding between the Gaviota and the Kayano, and I ultimately chose the Gaviota because of the wider toebox, and the fact that it was just more comfortable in my opinion. The Kayano, to be fair, was also well cushioned after I demoed a run with them, but they were just too snug, and the toebox was way too small. I knew that if I gotten the Kayano, I would be suffering blisters and possibly lose a few toenails, so I ultimately decided to go to Gaviota instead.

my first hoka shoes is Kawana, it is now my no.1 shoes that wear the most, interestingly that it even heal my sore feet if i did wear some lessbreakin shoes previous day. Clifton 8 is no.2 as the neutral status of it didnt reach the perfection of how Kawana got its unique footframe that make the feet comfort without being too spongy.
