Mental health treatment has always been very far behind in Asian countries. For example, a lot of Asian parents will treat things like depression as being "sloppy" or "lazy", or if you have anxiety, they'll think you're irrational and there's nothing to be afraid of. It's been slowly improving, but some of these videos are older and it was even worse back then. So much respect to Natural9 and Kobayashi though. He seemed to genuinely want to help him and wasn't just using him for content considering he continued helping even off stream.
You can't force someone to get chemo, just as you can't force someone to get treatment for mental health issues. If a struggling person thinks nothing is wrong with them, then nothing will be done. how did Yoshi survive his bike accident injuries by refusing medical help&going back home? this is wild. this guy is basically a superhuman.
I mean, fractured ribs and punctured lung is pretty survivable, not good, but you see this all the time in nature. Animals (and by extension humans) can survive a lot of beating, animals tend to die from the disability brought from the injury instead of the injury themselves, like either it's herbivores not being able to outrun predators or predators losing the ability to secure hunts. Humans don't have this issue when you're not being hunted and have a stable food and water supply. His ribs most likely just healed back in the messed up state while the lungs just healed around the puncture. It would feel like a very bad bruise that took a couple months to heal and they probably just saw a messed up rib and a bunch of scar tissue on an x-ray in his chest when they medically check him in prison.

It's heartbreaking that there's someone with a serious mental illness (paranoid schizophrenia?) in one of the most developed nations in the world, and even with all of that attention on him the main thing that is happening is that a bunch of attention-seekers start bullying him. Barely anyone tries to help, he just gets arrested over and over. Any they even filmed his dying father. This man needs help and he's in no state to seek it himself. To me, it is clear he is suffering from a paranoid delusion. I've had first-hand experience with someone who was very close to me, and who suffered from something similar. They may seem and act normal in every aspect of their lives with the exception of anything related to their paranoid delusion.
Yoshi needs urgent help. I'm surprised he's been able to stay alive this long with his mental condition.
Who’s yoshi? Bryan Johnson?
I've known this guy since his early days on RUclips,
but I never expected him to be talked about all over the world.
He is now plagued by a "world stalker".

This is so painful to watch. I recognize my mom as having the same symptoms as this guy, something related to paranoia. The community goes back and forth to helping her and persecuting her due to her outbursts. I never knew how to help as a kid except apologize to the people wronged. When I finished uni, I had to move away for a job. Sometimes I still receive calls from her neighbors about how my mom called the police on them again
Persecuting huh

Yoshi was literally mentally ill and didn't receive any help, just ridicule... What a joke
yup
and people in japan bullied him...my god
does japan even help sick people? or do they just ignore them and bully them?
I've only watched part of the video, but the tone of this presenter is also unhelpful and unsympathetic, more like mocking his beliefs and actions than understanding from a mental health point of view. Maybe he'll change his tone in the later part of the video but it's still uncomfortable to me.

I feel so bad for the dad who got stalked in the hospital. That's so sad😢
I wonder if their visit helped him in some way though. They probably explained that his son wasn't actually 100% delusional because people really were stalking him. I hope they apologized to the father and gave condolences since his son couldn't...

I saw the "Space Brothers" video a few years ago, but never knew the subtext of why it happened. Wow.
This is so deeply depressing. Genuinely, my heart hurts watching this, especially as someone who has struggled with their mental health (not psychosis, though). He needs help, and he deserves it, so does everyone else. Instead, he was treated like he wasn't human and just a funny meme man that you can earn fake internet points from if you mess with him. I cannot imagine how difficult it is to deal with real life trolls and stalkers, let alone when you are already suffering from delusions that led it to happen in the first place.
His behaviour wasn't great, but he wasn't really in control of it because he couldn't really make reasonable decisions or weigh up consequences. He did what his brain told him to do, not the other way around. And instead of people seeing that and trying to get him help, they preyed on him and made fun of him, just furthering his suffering. That is so gross and depressing and truly despicable. The fact that Japan (and other developed countries, like South Korea) still don't have any kind of care or awareness of mental health is horrific. How can these countries be developed when nobody can get psychological help, and if they do, then they're subjected to that stigma forever? I'm not saying other countries are good at mental health, but at least we've progressed past this somewhat. I have seen trolls in the west stop once they realised someone was mentally unwell/developmentally disabled/whatever. Not all of them, and they shouldn't have been doing it in the first place, but they will at least try to get them help and call welfare checks. I don't always think it's from a good place, but I think it can be good. Better than acting out someone's persectution delusions, at least.
In South Korea, mental health professionals are used by the State to falsely accuse and institutionalize people for the rest of their lives. I met a police officer in Cheonan, South Korea, who told me that they harass people until they can get them in such a condition that they can be institutionalized for the rest of their lives.
Reminds me of a similar phenomenon with a German guy Eduard Käseberg. He also felt like being stalked everywhere and posted videos exposing the "stalkers" to RUclips. You can still find his content and I believe he is still alive, haven't checked.
Dachte ich mir auch ^^
Crazy to watch this from the outside looking in... I mean, just a textbook case of schizophrenia...
Just wish he was able to get the help he needed and most of this could've been avoided
He's not schizo ffs, he's a victim of remote nueral manipulation.
Thank you for always showing us accurate images. In Japan, people with schizophrenia are left out in the open unless their families sign a petition for their hospitalization. There are many people and groups who are very vocal that it is an infringement of their freedom and rights. In fact, I have an uncle like this in my neighborhood...

You have to remember this man doesn’t think like you or me. If your dad was dying wouldn’t you visit him? Why didn’t he? He was afraid. He had delusions that made his afraid for his life. He is as sick as someone with burns. You just can’t see the damage of mental illness and lack of help like you can with burns from fire. if someone with Down syndrome had a meltdown would you blame them? They aren’t like you or me. They are apples we are oranges but we are all fruit. We are all human and deserve empathy and care. If this was your family member you would care more. He is not the only victim, his mother and father, neighbors and even who interacted with him deserved better. That is why he should’ve been hospitalized for treatment for mental delusions.

Poor dude, where I'm from government forcibly takes these people to mental institutions since they get better help there, I know it is kinda of forceful but that's one of the ways to help people who are being a nuisance and nobody's there to help them, when doctor decides he's stable the patient will be dismissed from hospital.
We need that in America.
@@ferretyluv don't you have have government mental hospital?
in my country they can only force you into a mental hospital for up to 2 nights. After that if you want to leave and there seems no immediate harm to you or others, they have to let you go. There are options to take away your free decision making and get a government-ordered caretaker who can decide for you, but this is only done for extreme cases, like last stages of dementia for example. If someone needs help, they need to want help, since you can't really force someone to accept help and it's only going to be successful if the person being helped cooperates.
