  • finishing part one of motor assembly on a can am outlander or renegade twin cylinder rotax engine
Few things I may have missed, rear head has the water temp switch on it, in case you forget
Can am head gaskets are extremely resilient, you can copper coat them like I did in the video if the finish is coming off and they generally can be re used but that is your decision
the crank in a can am is turnable, your local machine shop can get that done for you and aftermarket bearings can be purchased online or at your local auto parts store in +.25mm and +.50mm
for the consideration of keeping the videos in a watchable length some things have been edited to fit in alloted youtube time format, they include but are not limited to the following
Oil and Lubricate parts while installing, rods, cylidner sleeves, gear pins, etc
one item not shown is the removal of the crank plug and oil was poured in there after rod installation to keep it wet for initial cranking
care should be taken to inspect case bearings and replace as necessary as well, these are machine pressed or a special can am tool can be purchased, I recomend the use of a machine shop to remove and install new one
any questions, post em and I will do my best to answer timely
