Try using a different power adapter or charging cable to see if that resolves the issue. If you have any external devices connected to the laptop, disconnect them and try turning on the laptop without any peripherals connected. I have one but I don't know how to remove it, I see all the RUclips videos about it but that solution that they are presenting doesn't work for me. am trying to update my device to enable Thunderbolt 4 via [Gaming NB] ROG 2022 AMD Ryzen 6000 series USB4 feature. Hi @asus_support ! Do you maybe know if upgrading or changing the BIOS version can reset some firmware variables or default them? Asking because today when the battery flatouted nearly (led was blinking and I turn off machine fast) it seems the machine got stuck in "airplane mode" and thus wifi hardware does not show up!!! The led for airplane mode immediately starts to be lit up after linux boots. I did not update the system or anything, but the low power level state seems to have caused this. The FN+F12 button to enable and disable this never worked because likely the ACPI is not properly done (some other FN keys do work) but because of the machine going to sleep and me turning it off likely the same time it got into some state that got saved. If I add acpi_osi="Windows 2009" grub parameter (or similarly value of "Windows 2012") that does not seem to change anything, but setting "Windows 2015" - thus masquerading my linux as a Windows 10 OS for the ACPI codes of yours freezes so they do not let me use the key combination in either ways... Is there any way I can turn the airplane mode off? I have no access to windows and currently on cable, but use the machine on flights and travel normally too and plan to do it. Why is there no proper support is beyond my understanding as to me it seems that architecture is overly complicated for some reason but I still hope there is some solution. So is there chance down or upgrade here would help? Is there any way to default stored variables? I know that CMOS stores things, but not sure where else things might be stored.

Hey While i was shutting down my laptop. Own "update and shut down" was available so i went to bed late &put my device to update. BIOS update started on it's own. I a blue screen with a barcode and "your device ran into a problem......... You need to restart" written on it appeared. A very unusual screen of BIOS utility advanced mode appeared.my device was starting and closing 3 time than finally booted. Fan running crazy after that update. I have an Asus FX503VD and nothing i'm doing opens BIOS, tried it like in this video many times, does not work. Tried a USB keyboard, does not work. Tried F2+Fn on both laptop and a usb keyboard. Some versions of BIOS update are bundled in windows update. If the update is processing, that cannot be stopped. Please make sure that the AC adapter is plugged in when updating the BIOS on your device. Also, please do not force shut down during the update process.

Please try not to connect the USB flash drive for now and see if you can enter the BIOS first. Once you are in the BIOS, you can then connect the USB flash drive. Alternatively, we suggest using MyASUS to update the BIOS.

@@asus_support i did that already. And yet I only found out that maybe it's a problem with the administrator's password. I have one but I don't know how to remove it, I see all the RUclips videos about it but that solution that they are presenting doesn't work for me. I think that the fact that I'm not an administrator for the bios is why I can't modify or enter the setup at all.

Asking because today when the battery flatouted nearly (led was blinking and I turn off machine fast) it seems the machine got stuck in "airplane mode" and thus wifi hardware does not show up!!!
The led for airplane mode immediately starts to be lit up after linux boots. I did not update the system or anything, but the low power level state seems to have caused this. The FN+F12 button to enable and disable this never worked because likely the ACPI is not properly done (some other FN keys do work) but because of the machine going to sleep and me turning it off likely the same time it got into some state that got saved. If I disable acpi with grub params the led does not lit up, but still not network. If I add acpi_osi="Windows 2009" grub parameter (or similarly value of "Windows 2012") that does not seem to change anything, but setting "Windows 2015" - thus masquerading my linux as a Windows 10 OS for the ACPI codes of yours freezes so they do not let me use the key combination in either ways...
Is there any way I can turn the airplane mode off? I have no access to windows and currently on cable, but use the machine on flights and travel normally too and plan to do it. Why is there no proper support is beyond my understanding as to me it seems that architecture is overly complicated for some reason but I still hope there is some solution.
So is there chance down or upgrade here would help? Is there any way to default stored variables? I know that CMOS stores things, but not sure where else things might be stored.

Btw It started to work again after I accidentally generated a power spike in the house and all electricity went off because a faulty equipment... Interesting... I also delved deep into DSDT codes and whatnot, but I only read ACPI values, not wrote it so I am not sure it was me fixing it... But added some packages related to ACPI debugging so who knows...

hi asus , sometimes when i restart my tuf gaming f15 the bios utility ez mode flashes , a month ago i gave my laptop to the service center and told them to update the bios . Hello there I just bought an Asus TUF Gaming f15, and when I started was without OS, so it went straight to the BIOS. While i was shutting down my laptop. Own "update and shut down" was available so i went to bed late &put my device to update. BIOS update started on it's own. I a blue screen with a barcode and "your device ran into a problem......... You need to restart" written on it appeared. A very unusual screen of BIOS utility advanced mode appeared.my device was starting and closing 3 time than finally booted. Fan running crazy after that update. Laptop working as usual but i am pretty afraid.

@@asus_support yes it's up to date. I have attached some screenshot of what happened. Please tell me if it's a problem. I am very afraid. I had MacBook pro so I am not familiar to Windows a lot. My father have Asus vivobook I haven't seen such BIOS update on his device.

I am sorry that the second screenshot is blurred, so I am not sure what it showed. However, the first and the third are normal reminder to prevent BIOS update being interrupted or stopped. i have a409FJ mainboardm and replace asus A509FJ chasis, because A409 have a different keyboard layout can i flash using A509 FW ?
I'm afraid that's not possible. Each model of BIOS is only compatible with its own device.
I have an Asus FX503VD and nothing i'm doing opens BIOS, tried it like in this video many times, does not work. Tried a USB keyboard, does not work. Tried F2+Fn on both laptop and a usb keyboard. Tried just smashing it like a crazy person, both with Fn and without, on laptop and on usb keyboard, nothing is working. To be clear: problem i'm trying to solve is getting my laptop to go past the asus logo on startup which it is stuck on, so i can't go into windows settings to change anything there. Anyone have any tips?
