Hi Thank you for your asking. Because of BIOS is a firmware on mainboard, you don't need to do anything about operating system. Only one suggestion I have is to upgrade driver of chipset/VGA/audio/WIFI/BT. Sometimes new BIOS need new driver to match.

am trying to update my device to enable Thunderbolt 4 via [Gaming NB] ROG 2022 AMD Ryzen 6000 series USB4 feature. You need the USB pen to be on FAT32 FORMAT! Otherwise the "easy flash" won't show it's content

Some versions of BIOS update are bundled in windows update. If the update is processing, that cannot be stopped. Please make sure that the AC adapter is plugged in when updating the BIOS on your device. Also, please do not force shut down during the update process.

I am afraid that windows update cannot be disabled forever, but you can pause update for 7 days. The BIOS bundled in windows update may be more important, so I suggest pause update when you leave house and check for updates when you come back home.

Thank you for your asking. Because of BIOS is a firmware on mainboard, you don't need to do anything about operating system. Only one suggestion I have is to upgrade driver of chipset/VGA/audio/WIFI/BT. Sometimes new BIOS need new driver to match.

I am using Asus X409MA. I came here to use this BIOS for ASUS EZ Flash Utility to remove my BIOS password but holding f2 key then pressing power key just still don't work.
When I power on it automatically asks for BIOS password.

If backlight works unstable , it might be hardware issue. I want to suggest to remove software issue first . So you have to find Keyboard firmware first @ ASUS support website. There are another ways to update BIOS such as MyASUS or Winflash. If the update is important and need to do, it can be updated through windows update.
@@asus_support I like Asus laptops but I find it complicated to update things because I need to manually download each flash or drive and install it even when using MyASUS. Compared to other companions, all you do is click a button and everything is downloaded and installed by default.

The newer model such as UX393 will upload BIOS to windows update, but the uploaded time will later than official website via EZ Flash. However, you can update BIOS via windows update, and I think it is more easy to update.

am trying to update my device to enable Thunderbolt 4 via [Gaming NB] ROG 2022 AMD Ryzen 6000 series USB4 feature. I follow all the steps correctly (FAT32 version, extract, send to usb device, correct device used (GV601RW, etc...) but I keep on getting message: selected file is not a uefi bios
when I try to run it. I am running out of ideas on how to enable this thunderbolt feature as I really need it.
