This is why social media can also be negative for society because it's showcasing an unrealistic lifestyle, and even if this was true it's because they are a content creator and have time for this due to them not having to do anything else
Why do you care so much…..she’s just doing this for hydration and clearly enjoys it. Nobody’s telling anyone to be like her. It’s just an aesthetic video showcasing her routine.
@@theaondracawley5441 No it’s not. The skin on your body is less sensitive than the skin on your face. And she might do this exfoliation only once a week….you don’t know.
@@ScizzoringGirlz girl I'm talking from experience, the skin on your body can be just as sensitive as your face, dry brushing is a type of physical exfoliation, the lufter, the body scrub, the shower gel, she doesn't need so much. When you have dry/dry sensitive skin you have to be careful.
@@ScizzoringGirlz I hope that you don't think that I'm hating on the creator of the video, because I'm not, skincare/body care is personal but you still have to be cautious.
Body oil under a water based cream is the most useless combo but go for it. You want the moisture to sink into the skin no sit on top of it, blocked by an oil barrier.
Girls, it’s completely okay to not do all of this. The only thing that is very important for you to wash yourself. Take care of your hygiene, wash your hair et cetera. You don’t need this 14 step skincare routine if you do shave and the only thing that you need to do is likely exfoliate and moisturise because it helps not to get ingrown hairs, but if you’re not shaving you don’t need to exfoliate three times it’s going to damage your skin you only need to exfoliate once or twice in a week so don’t worry about all of that. Just take care of your water intake and love yourself
LMAO y'all are so extra. Just enjoy the video and move on😂. There's nothing wrong with doing any of this, and I'm pretty sure she just does this for her own enjoyment. It's nice to treat yourself sometimes. Your two cents is unnecessary. P.s. If a few second body care video is enough to make you feel insecure, get off the internet. But your fragile self-esteem is nobody else's problem.
@@Delta-z8e i’m not feeling insecure but i know so many girls that would. maybe just let me look out for others? the video is great but so unrealistic, and overconsumption and materialism at it’s finest.
This is extremely excessive I'm not trying to hate but all you need is all natural body wash to get nice skin all of these excess steps don't don't do much in fact the may cause damage to your skin I'm not trying to hate but I wouldn't do all these steps. Dry brushing is good for your skin and so is body wash but I don't think putting you hair up will you anything to help with your skin unless you have long hair that gets in the way. I'm sorry if this seems like a hate comments but I'm trying to help and remember that you don't need all this just do what's best for your skin.❤️❤️❤️

This is your daily reminder that- i want you to notice that even with this 14 step routine, her skin still isn’t “perfect”. she takes amazing care of herself and she looks incredible, but the perfect look that people want isn’t possible. love yourself too.
This is a destructive skin care routine that is too harsh on the skin barrier, she might actually get better results if she didn't damage herself to this degree. Even if it's every once in awhile it's still too much. If you want to exfoliate without hurting your living skin, look into fruit enzymes that help remove the dead skin without irritating the living. Great for sensitive skin as well.
@@32.QUEENCARD It's still destructive, your skin barrier is better off without this. Moisturizing mitigates the damage but doesn't eliminate it, better to not hurt it all and use better products.
My 14 step body care routine: #1 Poop #2 Wash Hands #3 Shower #4 Dry #5 Cry because I ran out of lotion #6 Force someone else to get it #7 Moisturize #8 Wash face #9 Get upset because I did my skincare routine out of order #10 Watch other people’s videos for body care while I’m in the bathroom #11 Realize I can do better #12 Thinks about it #13 Decides to try while body routine again #14 Repeat
The more I watch these videos, “less is more” comes to mind. There is no need to exfoliate your skin like this. In fact, physical exfoliants are really bad for your skin. You need a gentle acid exfoliant to do the job. Scrubbing to exfoliate will cause more damage than you realize.
Some people are genuinely slave to trends and have shopping addictions and they justify it under the guise of “self-care” I really hate how bastardized the term has become.
REAL self care is drinking water, exercising, eating healthy, caring for your mental health (journaling, therapy, meditation), and nurturing relationships that ground and center you.
@Bunny-sw8zt right? This new wave of Skin Care obsessed kids, for example. They will break out so bad when they become teenagers, because they are ruining their skin now. All because X influencer and Y influencer said they NEED to buy Z, W and all the freaking alphabet products. These products are so expensive but are probably worth very little, once this trends passes the prices will drop drastically.
I doubt it, it's probably just showing off (or she might just be really obsessed with self-care and copying expensive trends and brands because she doesn't really know how to do it)
Please do not exfoliate so much if you have problematic/ sensitive skin. I used to copy those videos and as a person with atopic dermatitis & acne, all hell broke loose.
to each his own, it's great that girls take care of their bodies, but don't forget that just taking a shower, having a healthy routine, sports and using moisturizer as needed is more than enough♡
Guys, I know everyone is reassuring everyone else that it's okay if you don't have this stuff but at least appreciate this girl's work to care for herself

My grandma's bath routine was, Caress soap on an exfoliating cloth or wash cloth. Out of the tub, she'd use baby oil or almond oil, then a baby powder/corn starch blend. Her skin was so soft and smooth well into her 80s.
What is the baby oil, corn starch blend for?
Yes. Mt Great gma was obsessed with caress the bar soaps and she had the softest skin

Caress smells so good 😊
my grandma also used wash cloths, but she'd massage body wash onto them. i usually use either a scrub with nothing else or body wash with a gommage/hammam glove

@@ScizzoringGirlz your skin would cry afterward from irritation, that's too much exfoliation.

THANK YOU for telling her! This girl is Hella crazy and the horse brush she uses on her body! I didn't know ppl do that!
Body oil under a water based cream is the most useless combo but go for it. You want the moisture to sink into the skin no sit on top of it, blocked by an oil barrier.
Exactly 💯 Best thing is to use the water based cream then the oil not the otherway around
Right? Oil after serums & lotions to lock in moisture.
Yeah I thought I was tripping but oil should be applied last… serum, cream, then oil
So many people in vids do this & I wanna scream lol. Might as well use it to get the most effects, especially since it's probably pretty expensive
I love how the majority of them were completely full and unused, the razor wasnt even set up! Dont feel bad for something she did one day for a video

Could people stop hating
@@NyomiDonkeyI’m not hating but because of videos like this girls have unrealistic expectations about their body and skincare routines in this case
@@Delta-z8e i’m not feeling insecure but i know so many girls that
would. maybe just let me look out for others? the video is great but so unrealistic, and overconsumption and materialism at it’s finest.
@@peacefullyartand that's their job to fix, stop looking on other people to stroke your ego it's pathetic
My routine:
1. Get the idea to take a shower
2. Go on my phone for 5 hours
3. Realize I need to take a shower
4. Pick out my clothes
5. Go on my phone for another hour
6. Finally get in the shower

8. Randomly start singing
9. Stop singing and stare again
10. Finally start washing myself
11. Sings while getting washed
12. My ears start ringing and I stare again

This is your daily reminder that-
i want you to notice that even with this 14 step routine, her skin still isn’t “perfect”. she takes amazing care of herself and she looks incredible, but the perfect look that people want isn’t possible. love yourself too.
True
@@KaiyoSayIt’s not destructive she moisturizes a lot later
@@32.QUEENCARD It's still destructive, your skin barrier is better off without this. Moisturizing mitigates the damage but doesn't eliminate it, better to not hurt it all and use better products.

The more I watch these videos, “less is more” comes to mind.
There is no need to exfoliate your skin like this. In fact, physical exfoliants are really bad for your skin. You need a gentle acid exfoliant to do the job.
Scrubbing to exfoliate will cause more damage than you realize.
Just a tip: put the oil at the end, as it seals in the hydration; putting it on before hinders the absorption of the moisturizer.
When life is simple as breathing but this girl make it hard and complicated 😊
More like organised and self loving
I am always impressed by the amount of products these girls just casually show off. Like these were just her body products???
Yet she’s using the cheapest and bacteria prone of wash cloths
I doubt it, it's probably just showing off
(or she might just be really obsessed with self-care and copying expensive trends and brands because she doesn't really know how to do it)
Please do not exfoliate so much if you have problematic/ sensitive skin. I used to copy those videos and as a person with atopic dermatitis & acne, all hell broke loose.
to each his own, it's great that girls take care of their bodies, but don't forget that just taking a shower, having a healthy routine, sports and using moisturizer as needed is more than enough♡
This is so calming and aesthetically pleasing ❤
I applied a lot of moisturizers, and I only applied regular soap to my skin, and it is still beautiful and clean

Mine:
Body scrub
Body wash
Shave
Body cream
Body mist or perfume
To some people its extra but i think its pretty simple and safe!
I feel like you should do moisturizer before body oil as body oil doesn't add moisture instead it locks it in.
The “shower oil” is actually just a body wash that’s oil based. She is literally wash her body twice and exfoliating twice.
I applied shower oil after body wash and then body oil first, moisturizer after because I have very very very dry skin in the winter.
seeing the comment section hype each other up is actually so heartwarming
dry brushing and exfoliating in the same routine is insane 😭😭

This is just video and advertising. To force women do and buy all this unnecessary things
Guys, I know everyone is reassuring everyone else that it's okay if you don't have this stuff but at least appreciate this girl's work to care for herself

You're over-exfoliating your skin. It damages the skin over time.
How though? She just dry brushed and used a scrub.
@@RebaMcImTired dry brush, scrub, exfoliating gloves, loofah, razor...all these are exfoliants that remove the top dead skin layer. One or two exfoliants are fine...the army of exfoliants she used is a disaster for the skin.

NEVER dry brush and exfoliate girlies !! Choose one or the other please!!!
Good good. No brushing for me my skin gets red it's too harsh.... Exfoliate weekly only to avoid abrasion damage, same for Gua Shua... shaving foam instead of oil, retinol once weekly because it's harsh on skin (only on face and neck). No body serum oil.. only apply cream when it's dry.. sticky feeling i really don't like...Rest of steps are pretty similar...Best step to amazing skin is hydration, sunscreen, nutrition and moisturising:) Love your videos!!!
