    Reinforcement was always a head ache for me. But after I learned from your videos, I accurately calculated the steel for the pile foundation of my house, Yesterday pile cap and today beams. Now I will calculate columns and slabs also slowly. All this without depending on any civil engineer (I am electrical engineer!). Thanks a lot for this dear Mukesh!

    jab bar ki length calculate karoge to beam ke clear span (5m) me dono supports ki dimension (600mm+600 mm ) ko add krna padega.

    Sir development length practical possible nhi hai..rechecke that
    If we have 25mm dia so its Ld is 2.5m. how is it possible?

    little confusion in clear span =L lena Hai Ki, effective span lena hai= L
    Aur stirrups ka wo bend me =180-135 =45degree hoga.

    Sir, you have an excellent way of teaching but on some topics, you also have to clear your doubts like the clear, nominal and effective cover. Clear and nominal cover both are the same thing and effective cover is clear cover+half dia of bar.

    Being a civil engineer seeing your videos brought ease in my calculations.I have seen BBS of beam and it's two example and I have doubt which I have mentioned below--
    1. Why lapping of bottom extra is provided at column whereas for top EOS it's done in beam?

    very informative. Good job. Just one error . In beam bending moment is minimum at the end points and max at the centre. Increase in number of stirrups is due to increase of shear force at the ends not the bending moment. 8:50 min

    sir i just wanna know that clear covers are tied to the main bars not stirrups as per my knowledge but as shown you have deducted clear cover 30 mm from the stirrup instead of main bar .please clear my doubt sir

    2 questions:
    1) In stirrups, Why do we subtract ONLY one I.e -1 from central portion? Is it a provision?
    2) In Bends, You considered 135° w.r.t -ve horizontal but if we consider it from +ve horizontal then it will be 45°, so which one is correct?

    Stirrups are basically given to resist shear and vibration effect, not for resisting bending moment. So zone a and zone b are made according to the distribution of shear force in the beam...zone a is high shear zone so more stirrups are placed there and zone b consist less shear and more bending moment so optimum number of stirrups are there.

    sir a room of 196 square foot (14/14) . Is middle reinforcement beam required through the middle of the room in caseof 8mm rod in the roof ? if i use 10 mm rod in roof making then ?

    Good morning Sir, I have some confusion in case of stirrups that you have deducted 3d for 135° hook but in another video that was cutting length of rectangular stirrups , you had deducted 2d for same hook. So please tell me which should I use at my site.

    Hello sir ,2502 code mein for rectangular stirrups 'A' =inner dimension of stirrups par aap ne video mein A=outer dimension of column -cover both sides -half thickness of stirrup on both sides but actual mein sahi method kon sa hai or please yeh batayei ki jo cutting length nikalte hai voh inner dimension hote hai ?

    I am in confusion to calculate cutting length of stirrups because in some channel deduction for hook bends are also consider. Again in clculating length of a in some channel centre line of bar is considered
