- Anthony Ruggiano Jr was born into the mafia via his father Anthony ‘Fat Andy’ Ruggiano Sr. in 1953. His mother was distant as opposed to his father who, despite being a mafia hitman, was a warm and loving figure throughout his life. Anthony was born in East New York and moved to Ozone Park when he was five. He has one brother and one sister. Due to his exposure to a life in crime from such a young age, it was only unavoidable he later joined his father and ran his own crew. Anthony now has changed his life and ways. His mission is to help kids stay off the street and those with addiction as Anthony now has 33 years clean of all drugs and alcohol!!! Anthony will also be on the show 20/20 in January.

I'm 10 months 15 days sober n clean and away from certain activities tried AA CA but NA is home group for anyone struggling it's not religious it's a spiritual awakening meaning your spirit n soul feels rejuvenated and just waking up feeling healthy and no anxiety of what did I do ast night, priceless

Really a good thing you're doing brother with this. Kids, adults, listen I've been down that road, I am not saying everyone this is just my opinion in my opinion ok, no one in those meetings, very few people in the meetings outpatient inpatient, are listening to anything any of the "recovery specialist say" which 99.9% of them never had a problem in their life, BUT, you take mafia guys, an all but made man, guy on TV, father fat andy, Knows John Gotti Sr. well, no one wants to know JR. , but a guy like Anthony, kids WILL and adults WILL pay attention, what they do then who knows but i would bet my last cent people would pay attention to you.
I'm 18+ years sober feb is 19. I also have 22 years clean. Like you Anthony as soon as I drank to much I get cocaine and go wild. At first I was totally clean and sober. But after a while I thought I could drink?? Yes, for a while lol.. when I had the want to drug I went to rehab for the alcohol . So even though I didn't use drugs which I thought was my problem lol. Its 1 day at a time and 33 years sober and clean I think thats a miracle!!! Especially how you grew up with the mafia in your blood!!!! I hope you're still clean and sober? I don't know when this video came out?
