I just love you two - full marks for admitting your weaknesses - we are not all trials or enduro riders but have a particular bike to suit ourselves and many of us are not comfortable on steep / loose surfaces. I personally hate hairpin bends but it doesn't stop me enjoying everything else. Your videos are far funnier than the original "Carry on camping" film - keep up the good work and thanks.
Thanks Clyde, we all as riders have room to improve our skills and get better and develop over time, it’s like playing an instrument, we are constantly learning and improving as we play.
All main motorcycle manufacturers use Ronda and its' surrounding mountains for press bike launch and testing, and that's a real testament of how great that area is for motorcycle riding. 👍👍
We can see why now! Any press bikes need taking back we are keen!! 👍
Been to Ronda before and it's truly an amazing place. Also, you might not be 13 years on the road but you're already on the road experiencing all the joy and freedom that motorcycle travelling can give you, and that's already a great achievement! Thanks for sharing another great video! 👍👍
Who knows maybe one day we can do Full time traveling. For now we are so happy and grateful to be doing what we are doing
Great vid, people like you two because your genuine and not selling stuff all the time, keep it up.
Thanks so much, have always been careful to only recommend stuff we like and use ourselves, we get offers to promote stuff all the time
Spent 10 years living in a campo farmhouse around 20 miles from Ronda. Loads of snakes, scorpions too. The heat becomes very oppressive from July to September, and winter was often colder than we expected. Roads are great, traffic low, people friendly. Enjoying all your output, Thanks for the effort.
Do snakes hibernate when it’s cold or something then? It must be unbearable heat in the summer months. Are the snakes and scorpions actually a problem for you there or do they really run away when they see or hear you?
@@ontheroadadventure Snakes go dormant in the cold, we had several in the workshop, and one up in the top of the porch, stealing house Martin eggs, but they are mostly constrictors after eggs, rats mice etc. Only one venomous species as I remember. I hated the small scorpions most, really painful sting, and they are hard to spot. I think you may have been bitten by sandflies, very common. Anyway, keep up the good work!
Snakes will not bother you if you don’t bother them. Just be careful where you step when walking in brush. I’m pretty sure Spain is not known for a lot of snake bites.
Dont worry, i dont go looking for them in the long grass!
Great historical shot of the bridge at Ronda and the ride to get it was awesome, well done both.😊👍🏍
A great day, We are pleased to share it with you
another fantastic vid still rideing at 76 you guys give me insperation
Allan thats just awesome, I hope we can still ride at 76. Long may it continue, Much respect to you
Croquettas are usually ham and cheese very tasty a proper moist tortilla and ensalada russa are our favourites tapas. We do enjoy watching you guys a good laugh along the way. Don t let the bed bugs bite Rich 😂
We have no idea what’s been biting us! 🤣
It’s been a while since I was in Ronda on a bike trip. When I was last there the weather was torrential rain so our host took us to the top in his car and we couldn’t see a thing and the roads were washed away in places. You were lucky with the weather.
Yes it seems epic rains are a thing here!
You just saved me a trip to Ronda! 😄
Ha, it’s still worth going to see with your own eyes, the town is lovely
You need to use smidge. From go outdoors. As seasoned campers its amazing. And always shut the door of the tent
We will pick up some when we go back to the uk 👍
Yr both doing great guys amazing weather and views yr so funny on about the wild life enjoy stay safe x x
Thanks so much, the old “It’l be alright’ attitude is scraping us through 😂
I enjoyed your shots of Ronda. I’ve stayed there a few times though I can’t say I know it especially well. I’ve always fancied staying at the Parador at the top of the ravine next to the bridge, but it’s exorbitantly expensive. I’ve walked down the hill to get the views of the bridge and I’m not surprised you were a bit nervous about riding it. It’s extremely challenging for people who aren’t experienced off road bikers.
Thanks, it was tricky getting down there but im glad we did it without incident, Really is a sight to see
well done to you both, keep living the dream. not here for a long time , here for a good time.,
Our sentiments exactly 👍
Lived there for 3 months. Beautiful place, people and roads. How I miss Spain. Croquetas are usually potato with either fish, pork or fish or combo. Thanks for taking me back. I only had my yamaha xmax250 then but was still a delight. Sunday mornings becomes a race track😂.
What fascinates me is how the hell did they build these things in that valley and no cranes.
The best monument of engineering imo in Spain is the aqueduct in Segovia. ( not far from u really) a mile long bridge built out of cement less rocks cut to shape with several arches built by the Romans. It is a mile long and is straight and level and brought water to the opposite valley. Stunning plus the baby pigs for dinner😂😂😂
The scariest but true thing in Rhonda is the Spanish Inquisition museum. Truly unbelievable all done in name of religion.
Really really enjoying this trip thankyou
Hi, yes we did look up the Aqueduct, it looks very impressive! Clever blokes them Romans! Shame we didnt know about the Museum we would have liked to have seen that
Acueduct of Segovia first engineering work in Spain in all time? lol a bit of xenophobia?
Xenophobia are you for real. I was praising. It was the Romans not the Spanish and I didn’t say was the first engineering. I was trying to be complimentary as was in awe when I saw it. As someone that has built 2 houses myself. With machinery it is the knowledge of how skilled whoever built it was. Put you egotistical head up your arse
Where you came over the bridge, there is parking on the left side in the plaza, then you can explore the area on foot , does wonders for your vertigo.
We did see that square and thought about putting the bikes on the pavement there but there was police there and we didn’t think we were allowed to do it
You pair Croc me up.
Ronda. A charming place to see.
Arrive 4pm to middling hotel with secure parking.
Quick shower. 20 mins walk to centre, for sightseeing , most coach parties will have left by then
Excellent inexpensive backstreet restaurants.
Safe travels . Barry 🏍
Sounds like youve been before! Excellent plan
@@ontheroadadventure A couple of times solo, on my A/ Twin.
The riding is Epic🏍
@@barrywaples8150 I can see us returning this way sometime in the future too
Excellent viewing again 👍 fair play to Ewa she is a very good rider 🏍️👍
She is much better than she gives herself credit for, since passing her test within a month she was in the alps doing Stelvio etc with me so she was straight in the deep end and does very well
Amazing as always guys
You’re amazing! Thanks for joining us
In Spain, ask for 'menu del dia' its the cheapest way to eat a proper meal, drink is usually included (check). It's usually a limited menu.
We will try that!
Ah what a great video this was. Ronda really is stunning! Did a mini tour around Andalucía in March but in a car 🙄 need to get my bike out there but with a pop up tent! Couldn’t be assed with that pole faff! P.s looks like you had the Russian salad with the tapas!? Love it!! Thanks for the effort you go to putting these up 👍👍👍👍
The camping is fine once you get the hang of it, we get quicker every day. Get inspired and book your trip, you’ll not regret it!
Ah loving this video , we not been there for couple years . That mountain Road to Ronda is one of our favourite in Spain , been to Ronda 5:6 times , if you do that road in the morning, sunrise is amazing on that mountain Road . Ronda is just fascinating place , so many great little restaurants with that cliff view .. u can eat watching the sun go down .. or find a hotel with rooftop pool…
Wow we found that road but chance but we loved the area, those rooftop pools sound good! A bit posh for us though I suspect 😄
@@ontheroadadventure there are only really two roads you could have taken from Gibraltar. You chose well !!! We are watching this episode shouting at you to stop in Ronda .. when you went down hill we thought you’d go back . There is so much magic there ..yeah hotels not the one for this camp trip , but the town worth a whole day and a night next time you pass .. we never knew bout that campsite though , so appreciate you showing that . We there in Sept , shall camp there for sure .
We did spend a bit more time in ronda than the video shows, We really enjoyed the whole area here, Spectacular roads around it
@@ontheroadadventure nice one .. yeah it’s beautiful, I see by the trailer you went to Tabernas too ‘Mini Hollywood’ that’s crazy place too .. and the desert is stunning !! Looking forward to that episode .
Terrific as usual guys! Would you really like to be on the road like your friend from the campsite for years?!
Yes we would! Honestly the only reason we go back home is because we have to go back to work and earn some more money, the second we have enough we go again! This is how we ended up moto camping, we realised if we can oput up with the camping we could go on our travels for longer as its cheaper than BnB's
Great footage 👌
Glad you enjoyed it - see you in the next one!
You guys are my favorite moto camping people to watch, love the old Brit sense of humor! Keep it up please.
Thanks Mike, We don’t like to take life too serious! Glad you can join us for a laugh and ride out
The best insect repellant I have used is called RID, it's the only one I have found that repels sandflies. Snakes don't like cold weather and man-sized foot traffic, they feel the ground vibrations and avoid that area. You will be fine, that's coming from an Ozzie, There is plenty here but you rarely see them, brilliant when you do. Easily avoided.
We will look up RID, and I’m now attaching drums to my crocs! 🤣
Amazing trip & vlog guys, I'm binge-watching you from a hotel here in Japan & it makes me pine to be back in Portugal & Spain. You are brilliant together.
Thanks so much, We would love to come to Japan, what a trip that would be!
@@ontheroadadventure You would be brilliant, I’d love to see you tackle the raw fish for dinner! Japan is a great country to visit & you guys would make a really entertaining vlog. Keep up the good work, total respect to you both.
Yeah the food would be tricky! there must be vegan options there? that would be a safe bet for me?
That was absolutely amazing footage of the bridge. Enjoy watching your videos.
Thanks so much, there are some wonderful places here in Spain and so varied too
First time I’ve seen the bridge from that viewpoint Guys, amazing Drone footage, and the run up to Rhonda looked fabulous.
Look forward to the next one.
Well done Ewa on conquering your nerves on that road down to the viewpoint.
Glad you enjoyed it! Once in a road like that one the only option is to push on and hope for the best!! These things usually work out in the end
Have you guys had callos yet? Best to refer to it as callos and not its English version - tripe! But seriously it’s usually absolutely delicious, cooked for at least 24 hours in a tasty stew to tenderise it. Traditionally in England when we hear the word tripe we think yuk!, but the callos version is usually fantastic (though very occasionally, especially outside of Andalucia, it can feature overly big chunks which can be…disconcerting let’s say!).
I cant say we have come across that, however there have been several instances of not knowing what we are eating!
Looks like your getting the hang of camping
We are enjoying it far more than we ever thought we would
Fair play to you both, always give your all on all your trips. We'll done Ewa for handling them steep roads. What a wonderful country, and that bridge is absolutely amazing. Watch out for them snakes Rich, 🐍🐍🐍
Thanks, I don’t know how we get in these pickles some times but we always get out again one way or another!
Don’t worry I’m constantly looking for those slippery blighters!
Outstanding drone footage
Thanks bud, getting a bit brave with that thing now I am
Rhonda the Honda🏍️🏍️🤣😎
Ronda on the Hondas
What an astonishing bridge! Ronda is beautiful thanks for showing me
A perfect place to ride motorcycles
Love you guys for letting use be a part of your adventure and fears😂
Wow Thanks so much for supporting us and the channel, we love bringing you guys new and different content and having a laugh with it.
Loving this series and very jealous of you both. Brilliant videos and excellent drone footage
Thanks so much, we don’t want you to feel jealous, we want you to be inspired and book your own trip to live the dream on your bike for a couple weeks
Hi ewa and rich I have to say the drone footage and the choice of music are both superb
Thanks Andy, sometimes we think we obsess too much on these things but we think it matters
I enjoyed the varied content in this video. Yep - the simple life is often the best! You've got to respect the guy on the BMW for having the courage to immerse himself in an alternative lifestyle that most people would only dream of.....Thanks for sharing. Cheers. 👍
We aspire to be that guy! He is living his life travelling in his own way 👌
Great drone footage another great vlog
Glad you enjoyed it
Love the video, thanks for taking me on an adventure with you guys!
It’s a pleasure to have you with us!
Fantastic place. Think about that guy riding uphill on his MTB 😅
Those guys are super humans on push bikes
Awesome footage of the bridge and well done not to have dropped the bikes and got them out of the parking pickle !!
Thanks! That was a challenge but it was worth it to get down to the view point and see the bridge from there
sleep easy , snakes can't open zips ! another god vid, love the drone work !
Apparently they like to slip under the tents 😩
I don't know which part of Wales you are in, but I've been to Rhondda loads of times and I've never seen a bridge like that. Still, nice to see a bit of sunshine anyway and you guys seem to be having a blast. BTW Rich, snakes hate the cold and will be safely curled up somewhere warm, you know, inside a boot, helmet, pannier, clothes bag... somewhere like that.
Oh that’s good to know mate…. Now I’m not bothered at all…
😂 you are scaring him 😂
The bridge has lots of history. Definitely worth a read.
Amazing place
Nice to see y’all getting some good riding weather.
Get a rope and put around your tent to keep the snakes out.
I don’t know if it works 🤣 though
Oh yes, so nice to wake up to sunshine each day
I used to live in a little village called San Martin del tesorillio and that road up to ronda was my regular weekend blast ,I'm watching your videos trying to work out why I moved back definitely a big mistake especially with the British weather lol great video 👍
You moved from Spain to the uk? Why would anyone do that lol
@ontheroadadventure I ask myself that question every day lol
@@user-oz4mx1di7t Maybe it’s hard to stay there now due to brexit?
It's a great video, I wish you success
Thank you! You too!
@@ontheroadadventure You're welcome
Carry on camping< loving it large. Ther's an American called Scotty Kereekes he's been on the road riding an Harley for about thirty years!!!!
On the same Harley? thats impressive, i wonder how he manages to make enough income to maintain it on the road
@@ontheroadadventure He used to work on some of the bike shows, mainly tyre changes and he wrote articals for some bike mags, Easy Rider being one of them.He stoped doing work at the showsnot sure about the mags.
Does he have videos on RUclips? Sounds like a interesting guy
He posted a lot of videos on youtube ( scooter tramp scotty ) but during covid he got political and post's on a differant platform now but you dhould be able to find him through toutube.
Thanks il look it up
This is super duper…it looks fabulous! …that’s living I’m telling yeah !
The more we do, the more we want to do! We can never get enough!
Brilliant vid guys.love watchin you both as always.what Garmin r you using as after another myself pls cheers ride safe.👍🏍
We are using the garmin Zumo xt but it performed quite badly in Spain, not sure why
Hoping to be able to watch tonight.....my apologies in advance if I can't.
Glad you could join us bud, we only just made it ourselves!
@@ontheroadadventure I pushed it close.....
Great video guys. It was a pleasure donating for your misery 😂
You are a legend! Thanks again
That looked dangerous guys! Fair play to you both. Rich you need to sort out your eating habits 😂😂😂
Was a tricky one for us for sure but it was worthwhile in the end…
Fish are friends not food! 🤣
Imagine not liking tuna!!
I can’t imagine why anyone would eat it!
You guys are living my dream if I could afford to support that way I would, I barely get by as it is, but I only have my 125cc at the moment and getting budget gear and I'll be doing or trying abit of this once I've sorted the gear 🤞🤞, keep it up yous are really entertaining for me and I'm up until early am watching haha
Hi bud, you actually have an advantage having a 125cc for travel, it’s far far cheaper to fuel etc, stay off the main roads and take the small roads, you’ll see so much more. Glad you are with us bud, if we can help in any way with advice etc just ask in the comments
@ontheroadadventure hey, that's for sure £11 to fill it from it's last bar of fuel and about 240 miles on a steady ride, I was literally just thinking that pluse those roads have better scenery and at 34 I feel I'm aging with that's what I go out on rides for and I know a 125s limits with speed so I'm definitely not in a rush to get down them 🤣🤣, me too it's the odd bit of potty mouth every now and then at the least suspect times it tickles me haha and nice to see your genuine riding not like alot of other channels that list alot of good stuff they can do but never show the accidents that happen to everybody, I will be sure to do that cheers bud take care ride safe ✌️✌️
Thanks bud yes we really want to show the full reality of motorcycle travel, it can’t be all sunshine and roses that’s just not how life is!
How is the chain and tyres getting on with your travels on both your bikes for wear
Great blog keep up the good work
Thanks so much, our tyres will last the end of the trip, we put this pair on beret the Home to Rome tour so they have gone a long way! We love the @Continental TKC70 tyres they last so long and provide excellent traction on the road and great on gravel tracks etc too
That thing you were eating Rich looked like an onion bhaji? Did it give you the shits? 🤣 Mega scenery and awesome drone footage again, you guys are really quite good at this aren't you 😉😘
Wow thanks very much, We love making these videos and riding to new places to whizz me drone about in. The fact that you all join us for a laugh and share in the experience with us is just amazing. We are so humbled by the way people comment and seem to enjoy our videos
@@ontheroadadventure not "seem to enjoy" we DO enjoy!!! Very much 👍
Looking very nice 😂
Thank you so much 😀
Super cool video. Enjoy your channel. How are you editing the videos on the go? And that guy on the road for 15 years? And the drone footage was superb!
Thanks so much, We wont lie its been hard work with late nights but we love doing it and sharing our adventures with you all. We would love to be on the road that long too, the longer you do it the more natural it starts to feel i think until you cant go back to normal life. Sadly for us we Run out of money lol. Other people generally rent out their houses etc to make a income on the road or have retired etc
Another great episode with some great scenery. Loved the drone footage, well done. looking forward to the next one.
Thanks so much 👌
To Rhonda, on a Honda!
Beautiful place. Thanks for the reminder.
Your food experiences have me in stitches! 'Uneventful food' will stay with me until i die!
Muy bien.
Onwards. 👍
Somethings are just best simple mate! 🤣
Very nice drone footage, what drone do you use? Regards from Holland. Ad
Thanks so much ad. We use the DJI mini drone
What's the worst can happen, you shit yourself 😅😅😅
And she says it like it’s no big deal 😂😂
No Ducks Given 🤣
Proper love that is 🤣
Ewa is so funny. Without even trying usually.
It’s great because we both have a ruthless sense of humour and neither one of us gets offended etc so we are able to have a proper laugh
Fantastic video 👍 heading through Ronda in June on GSAs so which is the best/safest route to and from the viewpoint? Trying to avoid dropping the bike (again!) 😂
Honestly you want to park at the top near the plaza square and walk down to the view point
@@ontheroadadventure oh 😬 is it really that bad?😬
@@allen-ty2it It can be done of course as you saw us…. Would I do it again now I know… Nope we would walk it. Imagine dropping your bike now doing it having been warned lol
It’s not just the steep cobbled road that’s the problem, it’s other cars and people all trying to get down there too, if you meet someone coming up it could be problematic
What’s the worst that could happen ? 😂
We often find that out eventually!
😂🤢
