I used the Godhome mod. gamejolt.com/games/undertale_godhome/545334
Download it from gamejolt then run the Spaghetti Installer program and follow the instructions. Then copy both files inside the "Godhome Save File", click the magnifying class icon on your PC, search for a program called Run. Enter "appdata" then click "ok". There should be 3 options: Local, LocalLow, and Roaming. Click Local and then search for one titled "Undertale" (it might be in all caps) and then paste the two files for the Godhome Save File. It should say that there are some files with the same name and ask you what to do with them, click replace. Finish that and it should work :)

I used the Cloudy Glasses for my shield, which increases your invincibility frames, so I got hit less times than normal on the red attacks.
