The best thing about unfronsted is all these new Seinfeld interviews. Always equal parts creative process and philosophy. So much to learn from him.
Exactly
so many nights I have relied on old Seinfeld episodes to reset my bad day. his humor is very unique.
When I want to laugh it's one of the big shows I put on. It's up there with the likes of I love Lucy, Beverly Hillbillies, Sanford and Son, The original Night Court, Everybody Loves Raymond, Jefferson's. when I laugh I put on one of those.
There was a time in my life i was so lost and depressed. Seinfeld got me through those tough times.
Man, I love how candid and direct Seinfeld talked in this interview. No pretense at all. I'm happy i saw this interview.
I sense sarcasm in this comment. I think Seinfeld does not give good interviews, he could as well made it all up.
And he’s always good natured.
Seinfield is so raw, no filter.....he doesnt try to be nice he's just real.
He’s totally vanilla with no actual social relevance whatsoever.
a movie about pop tarts... its gold jerry... GOLD!!
It's all tarts Jerry!
Seinfeld is hands down my favorite sitcom of all time! It never gets old!
It still makes me laugh the 3rd or 5th time!😆 I always said there’s a Seinfeld episode for nearly every situation in life! I love learning something new behind the scenes, like Jerry Stiller not being the first Mr. Costanza. And how he decided to play it differently than the more subdued character Larry and Jerry had written. When they heard the audience laughter they went with it. It was brilliant. I recently read the number of Kramer’s funny entrances. It was over 100. He got too many laughs and threw off the timing of the show.
Jerry explains comedy better than anyone else today. Genetics - absolutely.
Jerry Seinfeld is a national treasure. 🇮🇱 🇺🇸
I watched Unfrosted last night. I had read that “either you love it or hate it”. I LOVED it. Fell off my chair laughing a few times, which *never* happens. I think it is brilliant.
I especially loved seeing Seinfeld style comedy with no commercials and no laugh track.
Melissa McCarthy is gold. So is Hugh Grant as a Shakespearean actor playing the role of Tony Tiger “Grreeaat!” And so many other wonderful recognizable comics and actors.
Some of the humor is baby boomer stuff, perhaps, such as the imitation of Walter Cronkite.
I loved it too, also fell outta my chair. It’s all about the jokes with Seinfeld and the jokes were a riot. “Excuse me, I was serious about the 1940s question...” “Can ve jast move onn?”
When I heard Hugh Grant would be Tony Tiger I just don’t see him in that role. I have a decades long image of Tony and he sure doesn’t have a British accent! I’m going to watch it this week. Glad to hear it was so funny after reading mixed reviews.
I've been religiously watching Seinfeld since I first saw it in the 90s. I just can't stop!
Me too, I was drawn to it from the first time I saw it in 1990.
I watched this guy for years growing up, but I never recall an interview with him. Longest I've seen him get interviewed was on a late night show. Thanks Graham!
Finally Graham is releasing long format. Been asking for these forever
The genetic component to a persons humor profile is a super good point Jerry makes. Love how he credits his pops to being a true key to his delivery and wit.
Can't believe Graham does not believe that. He thinks comedy is just something you learn. I mean, you can and should learn how to write/produce humor, but if you lack the genetic component, you're going to be a Bania of sorts.
exceptional interview exchange; best of Jerry Seinfeld. Congrats.
yeah...let's call it like it is...Graham NAILED this interview. He was fanstasic. Jerry was interested. That means you're doing well. Jerry doesn't like crappy work. He only likes EXCELLENCE. Graham met the challange and Jerry pluged into his soul. It was really beautiful.
There is something about Jerry that is so endearing to me…I really like him as a person ….plus he is sooo funny
Might be the best interview ive seen with Jerry yet. Especially since Unfrosted.
I don’t think I’ve ever lined up and agreed more with anyone speaking publicly in my entire life.
Perfectly said. ✔✔✔ ...or is it: Said perfectly. ✔
YES!!!! Hour long interview with the GOAT?! 🐐
When Jerry talks about his first times on stage 😳. So exciting.
Forget about Jerry's enormous talent... I LOVE him as a human being! GREAT interview!!!!!
i ran into jerry in nyc and as a ny're the unwritten rule is to treat them like any other person you see in nyc, ignore them :) but i got to stand next to him and his wife and overheard him speaking to her a few minutes. He is an authentic person - he talked about the things you would expect to hear from him and in true seinfeld style made fun of and drove a stake into the absurd with good old logic. One of the coolest celebs i ever "met".
GOLD! Transcendental Meditation + Lift Weights + Espresso ❤
Those stories about just those two people from his past that pushed him to pursue comedy. I still remember a friend from high school telling me he admired my ability to go after what I want, which is driving me till this day about 8 years later.
I started "Unfrosted" yesterday and so far I think it's hysterical! It's great to see these awesome interviews with Jerry. There's no question that he's one of the best comedians ever!
It's hard to believe that Jerry is 70. I guess that's just me refusing to accept that I'm getting older.
The fact that he can say "Exercise is so unfunny. I can't talk about it." with a little smirk on his face... and leave me in stitches just by saying that... really shows what a comedic genius this guy is.
Graham, over the years (I haven't tuned in to you in a couple at least) you clearly have blossomed into a thoughtful, intellectually stimulating interview. I'm a big Jerry Seinfeld fan and I study body language. I can easily discern when he's interested in an interview or he's not. I can also tell when he has respect and fondness for the interviewer. Doesn't happen often that way for him. BUT, it certanly did with this interview. A+ my friend. EXCELLENT interview. Jerry likes you. Jerry enjoyed talking to you. Within the first few seconds of the interview Jerry CHOSE to connect with you. That had to feel awesome. It sure projected as awesome. Anyway, I could say more but I'm certain you get it. Just great work, Graham. Thank you for doing your job well. People notice that stuff. You're into this and you're engaged and commited to never ending improvement. YOU ARE ALIVE AND KICKIN' Take care. )
Glad you're releasing the full interview. The previously released excerpts are so good! Revealing and Insightful!!
We've watched the series Seinfeld countless times from beginning to end. It never gets old. The episode about the angry Mohel was pure genius. I could watch it every day and would still laugh to the point of tears.
I coulda been a kosher butcher like my brother.
Like this comment so Mark Normand sees it! We know you're here Mark!
Hi Mark.
We might be.... Listening?
Comedy!
Hi Kevin Hart!
I'm not normal.
That part about his parents being orphans was really fascinating! It makes you wonder about their upbringing and how it might have shaped Jerry's sense of humor. It would be incredible to see him team up with someone like Henry Louis Gates Jr. on "Finding Your Roots" to explore his family history further. There could be some amazing stories hidden there!
Almost worth a billion dollars, I’d say you’re pretty talented Jerry. Love you man
Such an incredible interview! Jerry is such an intelligent, interesting, focused individual. ❤️
Masterclass in comedy. I wish many comedians I've seen at the Improv would give this a listen. Write and don't acknowledge the bombing, it's your fault, not ours.
I hope Jerry makes more movies.
We need him.🙂
everyone always talks about "meditation" but nobody ever explains what it is 😂
Jerry always has the best sneakers.
I was an NCAA Pole Vaulter and Decathlete…I haven’t been to a gym in 20 years…could start tomorrow & would be so damn sore! But no problem returning to it.
Thank you Jerry! You have given us SO much over the years!b
❤ I love you Jerry 😊! Your interview was great. From humble beginnings… thank you.
Great a full hours interview not looking for cheap laughs thats why he's still at the top. Thanks from England.
Learning so much from Jerry! Thank you.
Always fantastic to hear Jerry share. Thanks for conducting a great interview!
This was propersteriously insightful.
Worth MULTIPLE viewings.
Thank you
🇨🇦
Great interviewer who actually got research done
His view of aging is my favorite view I have ever heard
Great interview!
Thank you! Fantastic interview. I love Jerry Seinfeld. And Larry David. Genius. Real.
I truly loved this interview. I will watch again. I am not a comedian nor am I particularly into comedy, but Seinfeld is a master of his craft, and the concepts he expresses here apply universally.
I love that Hugh Grant and Jerry are kinda friends.
Before this morning I was not aware of Graham Bensinger. I am now a subscriber. What a great interview with Seinfeld. I cant wait to see more of Bensinger.
One of the better interviews I've seen
The clips of this were so good
7:10 Jerry paints a clear picture of the fright a comedian feels walking onto a silent stage. It's something we all have thought of and suspected but watching and listening to Jerry express it, does wonders to drive the point home. I'd have a heart attack if it were me, for sure. Kudos to all comedians who got up on stage and did it, first of all, and then went back again and again. There ought to be an award for the very act of doing your act. But it's like Jerry has been saying on this latest circuit promoting his movie Unfrosted, where he has learned the philosophy of working on the craft as what counts, and not whether or not people validate you. Still though, that doesn't diminish the reality of the fear newbie comedians must experience going up under the spotlight. After all, no one wants to be hated, disgraced, or humiliated either. Bravo on an exquisite career, and hats off to all in your footsteps. It's a damn hard job.
great interview. Thanks graham
I love jerry. He tells it as it is honestly
Seal Team 6 😂 I love Jerry's humor!
Terrific interview 🎉🎉
I am looking forward to seeing his movie, Unfrosted. It seems like a lot of fun.
You still make me laugh, Jerry! I’ve seen you in concert and I’m almost on the floor laughing! But you make me laugh doing these interviews also. The more I see, the more I want to see. You’re SO FUNNY!!
Love his wisdom.
Nice interview. The take away Jerry will never retire, he will always be challenging himself by working towards something funny.
Such a great interview
That's gold Jerry, gold!
Thank you.
First a poet then a musician then the sarcasm with orchestrating
Jerry! This is your nature and pretty much you have been describing the nature of a Taurus. You are describing exactly how I feel ~ it is so fabulous to know I’m not alone!
I loved this interview. Graham obviously did his research.
So interesting that I was never a fan of Jerry's...practically everyone I know loved his show, but it never caught on with me...I just could not relate to the characters. I watched Unfrosted recently and absolutely loved it. It was a sweet trip down memory lane and I laughed while doing it. Welcome to the 70s club Jerry.
Is he even listening ? He just waits for him to finish and completely changes topic
Great interview! Love him even more! Meditation, lift weights, espresso - YES!
Jerry would be an excellent life coach.
If he wasn't a pedo
I can relate to Jerry in many ways. I have practiced meditation since 1988, so I get what he’s talking about. His ability to capture the essence of things is displayed here concerning the benefits of meditation, but there is of course so much more to be discovered by consistently practicing meditation. But his emphasis on energy is the salient point in this venue. There is a lot more to unpack from this interview, but this is not the time or place to do so. All I’ll say is the interaction with creativity is an uplifting endeavor and to share it with others is as rewarding a life as there can be. Still enjoy hearing George yelling: JERRY!!!
Such a great interview. Jerry is such an amazing guy and talent!
there is a song, beloved by me, TELL IT LIKE IT IS, this is the essence of JERRY SEINFELD's comic genius
It would be fun to see a collaboration with Jerry and Christopher Guest.
Jerry is the man
seinfeld could never be made today. to many hurt feelings. such good memories
Very interesting iterview! Thank you.
I love Jerry. One of the last great sitcoms.
I love the looks Jerry gives when he's thinking, "this guy is an idiot."
Thats gold Jerry, gold! We are all perishable like Marcus Aurelius states, but Seinfeld series was gold imperishable. Like the Honeymooners in its time. I loved the finale too.
Really enlightening !
Live and Let Live!! ❤️
I love how insulting Jerry was at various points in this interview 😂
Amazing! What a brilliant person…
Interesting how one of them seems content with himself and calm and the other hectic with a huge whole inside that he needs to fill in constantly. Funny how the latter meditates everyday.
We all forget this is not easy they make it look easy that’s the key to their success
What a wonderful background for an interview. A million dollar set and a nice discussion.
Oftentimes, that which is the most truthful can be the meanest, by default.
Great insight into what it's like on stage, what precise science stand up comedy material is, it's fascinating. Love Jerry Seinfeld
Great interview
Really. He is terrible. Very robotic.
I’m in that part of my life, where Jerry just finished the sitcom lol
From tiktok. Thanks!
Awesome.
Jerry on being in Israel, being under a missile attacks and finally getting the answer to his lifelong question” What is war like?”…interviewer, “Unfrosted”.
Wow
Today is MAY 6! Jerry’s tonight show anniversary
Amazing that Graham is skeptical that there's a comedic gene! Needs to review Rothenbuhler!
Over here in the Uk, the magnificent Seinfeld was shown at 11pm on a midweek night once a week without any promotion. I fell upon it accidentally and have been utterly obsessed with its brilliance on all levels ever since. It’s still at cult status over here by 🤷♂️ The man is a one off genius and deserves every accolade available. Bravo Jerry
I love Jerry Seinfeld.
