I got my G8X last year on eBay in practically new condition, with the dual screen case included by the way, for like $120. These older LG flag ships are a crazy good deal nowadays. I use my G8X as my daily driver, and it works just fine in 2023.
@riftsxpI would still recommend it at the right price point in 2023. Won't get Android 13 that's important to you might want to consider the V60 instead. V60 has the bigger battery, stylus support from a bigger screen... But the dual screen is a lot more expensive on that phone and ultimately you probably end up paying twice as much for the V60 over the G8X. Plus not everyone wants a 6.8 in screen. G8X is much more manageable at 6.4 in. You might want to ask anybody selling it what kind of condition the hinges is in the dual screen if you're getting it. They can get a little loose over time which it's not the end of the world but you should get a break on the price if the hinge is not as tight.
Still impressed with the SoC in 2023. I don't own the G8X, but I do own the V50. Personally, I still bummed to see LG dropped the V50's pogo pin for the detachable Dual Screen case. That is a brilliant idea.

Got my lg g8x over 2 years ago. Mint condition for $175.00 Tried the Samsung A23 5g for on going updates it has. It was just lagging to much with only 64 internal storage. Also the 4gb ram on the A23 5g was not enough. Sim back in this great phone. Just going to stick with 1 to 2 year old flagships. No comparison at all on how much better the lg g8x is.
I got one just to have it in my collection for the palm gimmick, but for a little more go with a V60 you get the 865 SoC for 5G and up to Android 13 update. The Wing and Velvet may have the mid-range SoC, the 765, but are also 5G capable with up to Android 13 update. All these have dual screen support, with the V60 and Velvet getting pen support. My daily is the S20 Ultra (16GB RAM model), S23 Ultra, S22, and Z-Flip 4 while my secondary line uses The Wing or V60.
If you haven't gotten one already, go for the V60. It's more powerful with with Snapdragon 865 compared to the 855 on the G8X, the battery is 5,000mah compared to 4,000mah, also a big plus to this is that the screen is larger with 6.8" compared to 6.4" on the G8X. I myself have the G8X, but V60 is best device to go for. 😉👍
This was a great phone. I still have the second display but T mobile gave me a trade in deal with mine. This phone was a heavy hitter,my only thing I can think of I didn’t like was the speakers. They were a little weak. Not terrible but the earpiece speaker was nothing to holler about.
I own both of them, and I usually use my G8X as my daily driver because the V60 is a tank of a smartphone. It's big yes, but it's also heavy. It's a beautiful phone, and I have no other criticisms against it other than its weight. I think it's around 215g.
What's up little brother keep up the good work man great video I seen that Patti pie in the background of one of those pictures definitely my favorite dessert sweet potato pie and Patti pies are my favorite😋😂🤣😁
Which one is better, lg v60 or this one? What about camera? I have xiaomi redmi note 5 for 5 years, and i want to buy powerful phone with good camera. I will don't play games, cause i have a gaming pc.
V60 definitely. It has better camera, snapdragon 865 vs 855 on the G8x and android 13. Just make sure you get the variant that your local Telco supports and not a Frankenstein with non original parts inside.
@@LibericaBorneo that the hard part about Frankenstein, cause in my country selling a LOT of Chinese garbage. About lg v60 and this phone from video. This one from video looks smaller to me, and i want just fine phone that works smother then my xiaomi and has good camera. I like lg v60 and i have money for this phone, but when i look at this phone, it feels like a shovel.. For me it really hard to choose which one phone to buy.
Imho depends on the quality of the service done. If they suck and don't replace rubber seals and skimp on the correct glue then the IP rating is compromised. Generally speaking, just don't submerge even IP68 certified phones when they're 2 years old, refurbished or not. Those seals and rubber gaskets give out eventually due to wear.
Level up your multitasking with the LG G8X ThinQ! The double screens are like magic for getting things done - juggling social media and emails is a breeze. Plus, the hidden camera means a full, notch-free display for enjoying videos. The battery life is a champ too, lasting all day long. The only thing missing? A grip that matches its power! To solve that, I added a textured screen and body film with a cool, matte finish from gadgetshieldz. Now it feels more secure in my hand, fingerprints disappear like ghosts, and the whole phone is shielded from scratches and bumps without any extra weight! #LGG8XThinQMaster #UpgradeYourGrip ✨

Wow! The battery still ok?
Bro, your content is uniquely the best. Nobody else gives such good reviews on older phones. Good job!
thanks bro

I owned a G8x awesome camera phone, updates required
Most awaited review😍

How about the lg v40 in 2023 🤔
Which is better in terms of speakers and camera, this lg g8x or the Samsung A34?. Help me bro🙏
Sorry for the reply, but it'll be the G8X, it features dual stereo speakers and also it's a flagship compared to the budget phone of Samsung.
Thinking 🤔 about getting one tiered of samsung edge screen

Yeah, I don't particularly like the speakers either, but with the quad-DAC, a good pair of headphones would easily make up for it.
Good review, but is it possible to update your wallpaper folder? I've seen really good ones in your video but they aren't in the folder
Very nice phone. However, the Android version isn't the greatest. Unfortunate to do not have anymore updates.
I'm sure there's a custom ROM somewhere out there for it.
nice video!
will you recommend an upgrade from the G8x to a V60?

What iphones would u recommend between $200-$400? And what androids would u recommend between $200-$400? Upgrading from a galaxy a32 5g.
iPhone 11 and xs are my favs.
Can literally get a pixel 6 pro for that price on ebay.. also an s21 etc
Value for money 💸💰
I think I will buy one. Great video as always.
thanks
Refurbished equipment still has water resistance? 🤔

Another amazing phone. Def worth it even to this day.
