Disaster preparedness was something I personally didn't think much of till 2 years ago when a massive superstorm called a Derecho tore through the state of Iowa and decimated my home town. While it was only 1 week without power and 2 weeks without any internet access to even call a friend and ask if they were ok, the physical damages were truly immense and took many many months of hard physical labor to even give many people places to stay. I would rather see something that looks like a giant standard AKM. Look at the German T-Gewehr, there's no reason it had to look like a giant mauser 98 but it does and that's cool.
Okay, so after seeing the Commie Tommy, when are we going to see a version of the M2 Stinger? The Machine Gun that the Marines during WW2 made from a AN/M2 Machine Gun, BAR and M1 Garand? Obviously some of the parts would be hard to get, so I was thinking it should be made up of a ShKAS (or other Rear Gun from an Aircraft), Rear sights/Bipod from the DP-27 (or equivalent) and a SVT-40 Shoulder Stock (Maybe M91/30 or SKS)
The dude thing with playing with the lever on the lever gun is just as satisfying as playing with the hammer of a revolver, especially an actual Colt SAA. Its unexplainably satisfying to just hear it and play with. Like the dude's version of a baby rattle lol.

A man that lived in my hometown when I was a child once ate carrots until his skin turned orange. I'm the book nerd version of a prepper. I have books on freaking EVERYTHING my family and I could possibly need to know in the event of any level of societal collapse (including total electrical grid failure and gas shortage). -First aid, essential midwifery, alternative therapies, herbal remedies (all in case the pharmaceutical industry collapses as well), and some more specific research for how to help conditions which tend to ail older folks, as we do have some in our neighborhood, and I wouldn't like for them to suddenly have no help. -Finding and collecting water, filtering water, conserving water, and using water efficiently (I also found a chart of nearby water tables and how far underground they are) (I live in the Arizona desert). -Farming in a variety of circumstances, plants native to my area which are edible, cold storage, and other old-fashioned methods of food preservation. I've even bought a number of different seeds and experimented with growing them under different circumstances (so far, I'm best at growing squash, though my sister-in-law who lives nearby has had luck with fruit trees). -How to process various fibers (from plants or animals) into fabric etc., then into useful products (crochet, knitting, weaving, basket making, etc). -Carpentry (including joinery), making basic structures, and making specific tools. -Finding, filtering, and using clay to make various useful items. -History of the development of civilization in general, history of civilization specifically where I live, a variety of sciences, philosophy, religion, classic literature, etc. -Home defense, self-defense, martial arts, and guerilla tactics. -Materials for educating children on a large variety of topics, in particular, books about the founding of the nation, many by the founders of the nation. I thought that might be important in such a scenario. I have more books than just those, but these cover the essentials. My hope is that my community could stick together and help each other. Very few people are good at everything, but if we could each find something in which to specialize, we could survive. Set up a small economy, maybe trade for certain goods with other neighborhoods (some nearby have goats and chickens, for example, and people closer to the desert proper can catch jackrabbits, quail, and javelina). There are quite a few children in the area. While I'm disabled to a certain extent and cannot do hard labor, I am a good teacher, and I'm confident I could earn my keep by teaching the local children- conveniently also keeping them out from under the feet of other working adults in the community. ...I may have done a little too much planning- depending on who you ask- but it activated my tism and became an obsession. What was I supposed to do? NOT buy 50 books on various ways to survive and thrive amidst societal collapse???
What's funny is I think Larry Fink and BlackRock are headquartered in Venezuela. The biggest "thing" of all time in terms of financial power based in the biggest western crap hole is that special kind of irony reserved for the world post 2010.
That whole spiel about "Haha, if there's an apocalypse I'm heading to your house" really hit home. I keep showing people that are into firearms my guns, then casually point out some stored up water, my reloading supplies and equipment, and buckets full of shelf stable food and immediately get that line, every time, without fail. There are maybe three to five people I can think of off the top of my head I will let do that, because I know they have some skills that will really be useful should the feces hit the rotating air motivator (medical training, gardening, construction/welding/plumbing, etc.), but the rest of them really don't get how the real message should be to do some simple prepping themselves. Anyone who's got two braincells to rub together knows not to hope for some major collapse or disaster to affect them, but you should have basic supplies on hand so if you're stuck and unable to leave your house for two weeks without utilities you'll be alright or at least survive. If seeing all the natural disasters broadcast on TV, Hong Kong, what happened after Covid first hit, what's happened in Venezuela, and what's going on in Ukraine right now haven't shown you that, I don't know what the hell will. You don't need to dig "zombie bunkers" in your backyard or stock up on cheap knives sold at conventions to be prepared, just have some basic supplies for living in isolation for a bit stored up and enough guns and ammo on hand that trying to seize them won't be worth it to random everyday people and you're better off than 95% of people out there. Even better, have a network of people you trust that have really useful skills and stay in contact with them, and make sure if things ever get bad you all know where to meet. If you don't have skills and/or material goods to offer the group, develop them. It'll go a long way towards keeping you comfortable in a long term emergency.
I see what they're doing. They're making lever actions the fidget spinner for gun owners. Or trying to at least. Perhaps they already were... The game was rigged from the start.

"I don't remember this gun. Where didbit come from?" - my wife at the range. "Oh man, I've had that for a while. Maybe it didn't have the light on it last time." - my response. I have had her ask the same question about guns I've had since before we got married and ones I bought a few weeks ago.
"When did you get those new panties that I've never seen on you before, woman?" was my stock response in the predivorce days of 2021. Best $4 grand I ever spent. Yes, even better than the "upgrades" to her figure..

"Welcome to another episode of Forgotten Weapons, I'm Ian McCollum, and today we're looking at a strange fifty-caliber rifle that the creator worked on for several years, allegedly 'for the memes', before being checked into a mental care facility for stress-induced delusions."
Isn’t that where they have rooms for all of us?
Let’s agree to regroup there and takeover everything!
I would rather see something that looks like a giant standard AKM.
Look at the German T-Gewehr, there's no reason it had to look like a giant mauser 98 but it does and that's cool.
Hmmm.
Or a bloated .50bmg Mosin.
When you said "And as always"
The only thing that popped into my head was "Have nice day."
For any Chef John fans out there, my thought was "enjoy".
I burned FPS Russia into my brain so much that that is all I hear when he says "and as always."
They already have one of those in Ukraine made from a dshk
@@grahamlopez3742 Fire rate is too slow, that was the whole reasoning on making the Stinger the AN/M2 had a higher rate of fire over the M1919 and BAR
@@Shinigamiusmc yeah but it was also smaller, and because it is smaller it doesn't fire a half inch projectile, which makes it smaller.
The Stinger was made from an Aircraft M1919 .30cal, not a .50cal.
@@ScottKenny1978 here too say this 🤜🏻
The dude thing with playing with the lever on the lever gun is just as satisfying as playing with the hammer of a revolver, especially an actual Colt SAA. Its unexplainably satisfying to just hear it and play with. Like the dude's version of a baby rattle lol.
Or gerand pings.
I like how he put the G36, SPAS 12 and Galil between the soviet/russian guns on the left and the american guns on the right.
As if they both had to be kept apart with some "neutral" guns.
I don’t see the spas

A man that lived in my hometown when I was a child once ate carrots until his skin turned orange. He also wore a gas mask to fight air pollution while driving his car until he could have a giant air conditioning unit installed on top. He also had a safety harness installed in his car before seat belts were even standard. Great health and safety aficionado!
How did he finally die? His wife shot and killed him. Apparently body armor slipped his mind.

6:43 The Three Herrera Rules On Buying Guns actually apply to most things we acquire. And The Golden Question to uphold that purchase is a freebie.
Some quality content, right there.
Thanks, mate.
Damn, Brandon is really upping his game. Now he has such a realistic greenscreen, it almost looks like he can actually touch the guns.
Notice he didn't remove any of the guns from the wall. They could all be air-soft fakes.
Henry makes memes

Golden Boy is an excellent troll cartoon. Before anime got weird.

A few years from now it'll be a wide shot of him sitting in front of the Wall in Game of Thrones with captured Russian vehicles parked at the base.
I enjoyed the message at about 11:10 minutes in. Had hints of “God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.” Always beautiful to listen to on a gun meme review. Have a great day, Mr. Herrera!
Brandon's version is: “God, grant me the serenity to accept the guns I cannot buy, the courage to buy the guns I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.”

My sister's first gun was literally a lever action.
Oh, this is also in Australia.
How can you not love the look of a lever action rifle, i don’t personally own one but the look of one is epitome of manliness. Also included, M1 garande, ma duece, Thompson submachine gun, and the 1911.
Today is a good day. "The fish from shark tale, slapped the shit out of the zebra from Madagascar for making a joke about the Hippo from Madagascar. " Quote Brandon Herrera

@@Isaac_The_Arm_Warrior you’re* and it’s just a joke Kremlin calm down
@@Isaac_The_Arm_Warrior That's not a problem in the slightest when the question is about your own happiness, dipshit. The other person's feelings should not come into play at all in the question "Am I happy in this relationship?". If you're only stuck in a relationship because you're worried about how the other person feels, it's a toxic relationship.
The budget on guns behind Brandon is bigger than Venezuela's anual PIB
Wow, the way you transitioned right into that promo was sooo smooth I almost forgot to skip 😂
