I’m interested in pursuing a career in PMU so thank you for breaking down your net profits. I think that’s still wonderful considering what the world was going through in 2020/2021!

I'd like to know how a brand new artist brings $43k their first year. I had a total of maybe 15 clients/models my first year at a newbie rate.. Were you previously in the beauty industry and had former clients to market to?

No I was completely new to PMU and the beauty industry. The key was that I saw a gap in the market. 5 years ago there were hardly any PMU Artists in my city, but the demand was high.

How long did it take you to build your clientele?

I opened my studio in January 2020, covid hit the world in March that year so my first year in business was unusual to say the least. So i had these long gaps in the year where I couldn't take clients, so I was able to slowly build a wait list during that time which meant I was busy during the months I was able to open that year. By year 2 I was starting to get booked out consistently.

Hi, I'm based in Europe, but I do have an online course that you perhaps would like to hear about? It's best if we communicate over email, can you drop me an email at kim@kimloystudios.com and I'll give you more details :)

It’s not worth it. I’ve done it for 3 years and it’s a constant hustle which is exhausting.

There are ways to make it highly profitable whilst not being overworked and overwhelmed. It's about offering a premium technique for a premium price. I'm helping Artists to do just that. Would you be interested to find out more?

Do you have software that you use to track all of this?

If you're just starting then using an excel sheet or Google sheets is totally fine.
