He's the guy who wanted karaoke in Y3 because the og Y1 and 2 didn't have karaoke, he's a damn genius for recommending that, he also fought cancer during Y6 *and won when the game released*.
I believe it's in their license and agreement for the use of the track. It's probably only for being used as random in-game BGM. If the publisher want to sell it like other karaoke songs, they will need to re-negotiate with the singer and make a proper document for that. Edit: It's not actually about would the company and the director agree on it or not, it's more of distribution process and protections against lawsuits.

I ripped the music files from multiple Yakuza games and assembled them into one song. These are ambience ("haichi_amb") tracks that play in the surrounding environment.
