Completely flawless and utterly beautiful.... what a gift this Concerto is to humanity. i have loved this Concerto for most of my life..Bravo Maestro!!
This orchestra is beyond compare. Very moving indeed!!!
imho one of the most beautiful and moving passages of all time. Brings tears to my eyes. If there is a better orchestra in the world I have not heard it.
just amazing .. moves everything inside of me
This is "hands down--on the keyboard, that is" one of the three best, if not THE best video of the 1st movement of this concerto on RUclips, due largely to Zuber's masterful performance, but also due to the Israel Phil's excellent accompaniment. I can see why Mehta loves this ensemble. I love this concerto myself, so much so that I even wrote my own homage to the concerto in my own Piano Concerto No 2 in C Minor Opus 2. It's on my channel if anyone is interested in hearing it.
Beautiful!!
Amazing!
Sadly, the music sound stopped at 19:13. Too bad, because this was one of the greatest performances I have heard.
WHAT THE FUCK???!!! An absolute STUNNING performance of "Concerto for the DEAF"!!!
Fantastic.
Check the flutist and the clarinet/bassoon players changing greetings on 34:30 .... HILARIOUS!
ラフマニノフのピアノのメロディーは綺麗なんで好きです。
Sabes, si quieres comenzar de a pocos con esta obra, ve leyendola poco a poco, asi sea a primera vista, tu mente irá guardano la obra poco a poco..

Bravoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...........................................
Que paso con el audio?
There are only 2 other orchestras that are of same caliber as IPO, but the IPO has a real depth of the soul that no other orchestra i know of has.... not my favorite rach concerto..... but any performance by the IPO is well.... what can i say.... Zuber plays this concerto very much the way Rach did...
It's interesting that you should say that abt. Zuber and Rachmaninoff. I agree. This is a very classical, sober approach to the music which reminds me of the composer's own recording. Not at all cold - quite the contrary - just a bit austere, in a good sense. A very clear and incisive sound. I like this guy a lot.
mikael kenner Zuber comes closest to the richness of Van Cliburn in 1958... an unsurpassed performance!
+mikael kenner What are the two other orchestras?
+Chinyere Obasi Actually there are more: Bayerische Rundfunk, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Chicago, Dallas, LSO, Berlin Phil., WDR...to name just a few. IPO is very good, but let's not get carried away.
its called the adagio...
quien llego aqui despues de ver nodame cantabile?
who came here after watching nodame cantabile?
I am just wondering, but why is it that the pianist always acts like they are sort of having a seizure as they begin this piece?
Could somebody P L E A S E fix this. I want to hear the end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks a lot.
This clip is MISSING AUDIO in the most beautiful part -- the 2nd Movement. Useless.
