- Alternate Name: Malachite Realm, But I had this really awful idea while I was making this… So you know those cluster gem things peridot’s been experimenting with. The forced fusions, I call them obtrudes, well I had this horrible Idea that peridot decided to try and weaponize them and fuses Lapis and Jasper Permanently… really dark.

It can be hypothesized that this is the current state of Malachite's right now. All of those memories now twisted and warped because of Jasper and Lapis' effed up fusion.
Malachite might be a cluster with two gems, except they're not shards.
That could explain why it has so many arms/hands but no legs/feet.
Jasper and Lapis's gems are both fine (pretty sure), so their fusion wouldn't be as effed up but it's forceful.

I just want like a AU where SU is ten times darker and this is what happened to Malachite and Peridot.
Like Peridot never got redeemed and she made Malachite a forced fusion. While Malachite fought with herself 24/7, Peridot would (instead of getting poofed and redeemed in Catch and Release) then get shattered by the Crystal Gems. That would be a hella good but sad AU.

I thought this would be an animation about Malachite as a corrupt gem, but I still loved this
I have chills. The formation of Malachite as hideous monster as it stares down the gems was terrifying in its own right but the discordant techno music you added kicks this moment up a whole other degree. Nice work.

This is kind of strange thing to think, but does anybody else feel like Malachite deserves better?
Not Lapis and Jasper, I’m not talking about either of them right now. (although both need a truckload of therapy) I’m talking about the person they made together - Malachite. They’re always saying in SU how Fusions are like their own person, and so far, Malachite has been fighting against herself the whole time. Her existence has been a literal nightmare, because that’s what she was made out of.
If Jasper gets un-corrupted and redeemed, I hope she and Lapis can try to fix what they had, so they can be satisfied, AND Malachite can be happy with herself.

Fun fact: Malikite is a toxic gem. Do maybe the creator's of Steven Universe named Jasper and lapis fusion malike because there relationship was toxic
Well the music CERTAINLY fits the context you made it in, that fusion would be super terrifying considering Jasper's physical prowess and Lapis' ability to control water. But I also liked the warping of images and the sound of Jasper being dragged away as Malachite's theme kicked in, like as if saying she (Malachite) finally became "herself."
