Thanks man! I tried to remake this for my brothers 30. birthday .. made it out of oak and cherry wood. Also, I added an infinity mirror on the "door" and made it a little bigger to fit two whisky glasses. I've watched a looot of youtube wood workers and youtube stuff in general and you're channel is so underrated .. there is a huge potential in you and your channel. Just love the wonderful playful chill music in combination with great video shots, pleasing sounds and good (quiet - not overdoing faking) explanations. Watched it a lot of times to rebuild it haha and can say I still love it. Greetings from Bavaria - Keep it up man, great artists are rare! :)
Wow dude, it's a masterpiece. The lid looks like coral. I also like your panel clamping/caul situation you have going on. Inspires me to push myself. Thanks
Thanks! I really appreciate the compliment! I wish I could take credit for the clamping setup but the hardware comes from Lee Valley and all I had to do was make the cauls. If you want more info on it let me know I'd be happy to share it. Thanks again!

Thanks Sue! It I have more patience than brains I think. I always get these ideas in my head and am ignorant to how long they will take. Regardless, I am happy I spent the time to make my vision become a reality. Thanks for watching!🙂
Thank you so much on all accounts! I take pride in both my woodworking as well as my filming, although the latter is still very much a work in progress, I try to do the absolute best I can with what I have. Thank you so much for watching! I really do appreciate you taking the time out of your day and spending it on my channel :)
Haha you don't want to know! I didn't actually keep track. I would say 15-20 hours. I think the whole thing took close to two weeks. You really have to be committed to something to spend that kind of time haha.
Hi there! Thank you for the kind words. If you click the link in the video description under "tools + materials" it will take to you a good number of tools I use in the shop, including the Makita. Thanks for watching! Make sure you to hit the subscribe button to help support the channel :)
Thank you! You could try. My lid was 5/8" thick and I think a dremel tool would struggle removing that much material. That being said, a thinner lid, and maybe even a different species of wood may make it easier on the tool. Best of luck!
I leave the line because I think it looks good. Simple as that. It would only take 2 minutes with a card scraper to remove the lines but I choose not to. To each their own. Thank you for watching.
Why do most woodworkers mark their tail boards all the way across and then leave their marking lines so they’re visible??? This looks very unfinished and takes away from a finished product. I’m not a supporter of “because that’s the way you do it” mentality. I mark mine only where needed, then the lines do not show in the end. You can at least sand them or plane them away very easily. Just fyi.

If it's Scotch, then it isn't Whiskey!
So I have been told haha. I'm more of a woodworker than a drinker I suppose :p
Amazing job, congratulations. I havr one question, for the detailing of the holes you think a small dremel mototool can do it?

After cutting your dovetails why do you leave the visible mark line across the board??? Never understand why people do this, just sand them out.

Nice work, but.... eye protection!
