Volk got ko'd, but was still semi-conscious after the ref stopped the fight, which definitely saved him from more serious damage. Volk's just lucky Islam doesn't have the same snap as Barbosa.

There are weight classes for a reason. Not just to keep things as even as possible . But for safety reasons too. Guys the same weight can take what others the same weight can throw usually.
