- Fun little 1970's romp with no shortage of action.
They don't make em like they used to!

That scene where the van flies through the air on fire is just unbelievable, I've never seen that done in any other movie
I like how the van immediately exploded into a giant fireball midair for really no reason whatsoever other than it was the '70s and everything exploded back then
@@jamesnoble3502 On California highways that was doubly true!
I believe there are other movies where cars explode and fly in the air. This isn't the only film that does that.
I want that crazy fiddle music as my new ringtone 😀
I remember taping this off of network TV in the late '80s and watching it with my friends
That music literally slaps
at 5:02....the Dodge van diving off the side of the overpass....man!! Stunt people from the 1970's were gritty as f***!!!
Thats 1974😒
A lot of “Hold my whiskey bottle.”
I saw this on TV back when it was new, one of my favorites.
This is one of your funniest commentaries yet -- delivered with a great dry style -- thanks man! Keep it going!
"...where the hell are Jon & Ponch when you need them..." another TMV classic quote!
@@TMVarchive I can see the planning meeting for this movie - 'Well, we can't afford Jon AND Ponch, but we can manage one third of Charlie's Angels.'
I love how the hero car is an old Datsun 240Z aka Nissan fairlady s30 probably one of the most beautiful cars of the time these cars dont get enough love
And, if you note: The only car The Fiddler attacks that has a respectable power/weight ratio, and is built with good brakes and a true sports-tuned suspension by design.
I thought it was a Toyota 2000gt
@@thetransportationguy7930 are you serious or making a joke
this was tuned to reach over 300kmph and this cnt out run a van 🤣
this once was the devil z of the wangan highway in the anime world.....aahh the good old days ❤
I saw this movie for the first time about 2-3 years ago and was mad that I hadn’t seen it/didn’t know about it sooner. Pretty decent cast (Peter Graves and The Riddler...I’m all in). I could watch these made for tv gems from the 70’s all day.
Not a killer car if the car has a driver
What does that have to do with my comment?
1:32 *the guy on lower side of the freeway* "hey lady get the fuck off the freeway, did you play with any balls to get your license?"
Good flick from Hal Needham! Decent crash stunts for a low budget TV movie! Though bluegrass wouldn't have been my choice. Blast Van Halen or AC/DC.
Also, one of the best cliff dives to end a killer car movie.
Yeah, not sure what was up with the weird fiddle music. I originally used AC/DC's "Highway to Hell" for the outro but RUclips blocked it.
I like when that psychopath charge up the song
"Maybe she made him wear a dress to school or whatever" I can relate
There's a few movies out there you may have not seen. One I'm still trying to remember the name of myself I think it's called the van I know it's not creeper van that's a whole another movie. Basically it's saw with a Dodge panel van. This guy is a serial killer and he's got a van that he trips out with all sorts of gory traps and kills people when they get in the van. In some cases the guy was targeting car thieves as an example I think during the film he booby-trapped other people's Vehicles as well was about four or five years ago when I seen the movie. At one point he puts the van up for sale tool or somebody else in do test driving the van. If I remember the movie correctly it was a crappy looking white Dodge cargo van.
A movie from the 1970s you may have seen or or overlooked small budget film called cars that aren't Pirates hopefully I'm not butchering the title of the movie it's pretty obscure. Basic plot of the movie is a town of people who kill Outsiders who travel through the town by making them crash their cars and then they strip the cars down and sell the parts to make money and it's supposedly in the storyline a big business.
Another one from the 1980s is called the ambulance it's about a serial killer driving around in an ambulance.
I'm sure you seen all the Death Race movies there's five I think at this point maybe 6 I'm not exaggerating they've done quite a few Death Race equals most of them the most people don't even know about because they were kind of slid under the door. Honestly some of the Death Race movies are not that bad David Carradine was in the first one and he's in a couple of the sequels.
More than likely you seen the Mad Max movies and just don't want to devotecontent at them because pretty much everybody's probably done Mad Max.
Doing this with a soul crushing migraine so there's a handful of movies right now I can't remember the name of.
Guy that did the original Gone in 60 Seconds I believe was the guy that did the movie junkman assuming you haven't seen it you might want to look that movie Up. Kind of a demolition derby car chase type movie. I think that was the one he died while filming or died after filming it. Guy that did the original Gone in 60 Seconds did a handful of karthi movies before he died in the 80s. Another one I'm sure you seen was repo not the Opera I mean the original repo movie was called Repo Man people keep dying trying to repo the car in the film.
The second Knight Rider movie might be something else you want to look into it's kind of hate Mad Max knock off I think it was called Knight Rider 2020 typical post-apocalyptic future and Guy out for Revenge builds a tank car. And they slapped the term Knight Rider on the title LOL.
Trying to remember the name of the one about the semi from the 1980s basically the guy is a private contractor with a custom-made semi who was hired to do a transport of a nuclear bomb or something across the u.s. Under the radar by the government yeah the movies as campy as it sounds you got to remember I was like 10 when I seen that movie and the name of it Escapes Me. They put extra long smokestacks on the rig to deflect heat-seeking Rockets as an example LOL. Maybe it was called War rig or War truck battle truck that was it I think they basically in the movie built a custom semi with bullet-proof material and so on truck was specifically custom-built to do the delivery run of whatever the hell the goddamn top secret missile bomb thing was pretty sure they were supposedly delivering a nuclear warhead across the u.s. Or some new type of nuclear weapon. Blood Salvage you might want to look into it's more of a slasher film bunch of inbred rednecks that run a salvage yard are kidnapping people to cut them up for organ donation on the black market basically causing them to have accidents and then kidnapping them.
Black dog with Patrick Swayze might be in your wheelhouse although it's not really killer cars for say it's more along the lines of a trucker enthusiastic action movie one of the last movies done by Shwayze.
Ice Road is another one of those type of movies more recent had Liam Neeson as one of The Trackers.
Honestly hard to find movies where it's a killer car in the most literal sense like Christine you actually found one called the car 2 which I'd never even heard of.
Sometimes they come back and the sequel Sometimes they come back again based on a Stephen King story about a ghost car with a group of ghost occupants kind of a couple of obscure movies so you might not be familiar with them.
If I can think of any more I'll post on another one of your videos
I was watching all the videos in this channel a few days ago because I loved the movie vaults videos and was so upset to see he is no longer here and this was one of my favorites I was tempted to suggest it be reuploaded next I’m so glad it was
I'm still here dude. Just had to start a new channel.
Glad you like.
Note how the cars or all the victims the Fiddler attacks are either small, trim-models with paltry/weak engines, have poor handling & lackluster brakes standard... like a large, quick predator chasing a smaller or slower prey that can't out-maneuver or get away quickly.
i appreciate the archiving of the videos from the old channel The Movie Vault. i hear you may have re-recorded some of the original voice-overs from the videos. i used to watch them so much, i basically memorized every nuance of the videos. they were just fun to watch. thank you.
Glad u like.
Yeah, part of the aim of this channel was to re-edit or completely remake some of the old vids. I'm slowly putting together another one as time allows.
@@TMVarchive what happend to the original guy and channel.
@@chasechildress2720I'm right here bro. The channel was yanked for some b.s. and this is the replacement. See the story on my other account: ruclips.net/video/yhzRvoO8h_c/видео.html
@@TMVarchive ohh that sucks but I'm happy your back I loved the killer cars series back in 2016 or so and still love it today.
Like how the other driver's just ignore the vehicle manslaughter happening right in front of them.
I've always loved cars of the 70's so I recall the first one well. It was a
"CHiP's" episode called, The Highway
Fiddler! Aired around the time a movie called "The Car" was released. About a Satan possessed 73 Mark IIV Lincoln,
Continental, that goes around driverless & killing people.
It was a van GMC Venture right?I remember too!
Killer Cars (6 @ 6 Segments from WGN Morning News Only)
*sees cars exploding on impact*
bruh
Is nobody talking about how the cars have like 100s of thousands of miles
That was some off road RACE van ... lol. Sounded like it had a 70s NASCAR engine in it, but yet could off road and drive down large embankments ... I would guess that 240 Nissan could've out ran it in a heartbeat if this wasn't Hollywood.
The van used was a 1974 Dodge B100. The V8 models came with a 318 or a 360 ci Engine.
@EngineerDaylight Again, the 240 would out run it.
Fun fact:the truck (van,I mistaken this for duel 😂😂😂)driver was supposed to be the driving instructor for the reporter,he apparently hates woman because his wife was killed by another woman in a drunk driving accident but at last minute the freeway fiddler was stated to be a mystery of who she/he is
Fun fact: there's a fan-made video utilizing clips from this movie backed by a remastered version of "Takin' Off/Hell on Wheels", a song from Cheech and Chong's Next Movie.
People with civics before V-TEC was maded
I vaguely remember this movie...
This originally aired 9-25-79 on CBS and starred Shelley Hack from "Charlie's Angels."
サイドブレーキの使い方上手い(笑)
Love that expression knuckle dragger
2:47-Generally about as useful as a fire extinguisher full of gasoline. Never heard that one. That was Morgan Brittany in the opening, wasn't it?
And the stunt driver driving the van is the same man who drove the infamous tanker truck in Duel. The small barely noticeable burn scar on his left arm and a small sticking scar on the right arm are more than a bit of a give way.
And this guy must have several vans to crash with.... A Blue Ford Transit , a Grey/White Bedford Van and a Black with flames Ford Caravan Or also known as a A Team Van.
Did he steal the A Teams van and put flames on it. It looks like it.
It was shown in the movie that he repainted his van after every attack but due to the continuity the van also magically changed makes and models between scenes
The van was a 1974 Dodge Tradesman
Love this movie 🎞
I was waiting for this one
What's the name of the song the guy in the van plays? I like it
Weee ga wogga Weee ga wogga Peeeny weeeny ween-a-wogga. By Hillbilly Joe and the Murderers.
The movie you called "cars that aren't pirates", was called Cars that ate paris. You were pretty close to the actual name:)
What? I'm aware of the movie (Mad Max style demolition derby) but I'm sure I've never mentioned it..
whats the music that the van keeps using?
Some kinda bluegrass whisky fiddle music.
Hence the "Freeway Fiddler" reference.
I don't think it actually exists. I wish it did though. You won't find OSTs on RUclips for a movie like this.
I remember looking for this movie because I remember that fiddle music wean I was smaller
Lucky no killer drivers mess the wrong drivers, otherwise it got a bazooka launcher to blew up a strange vehicle what attacks to.
The ending clip would have been awesome if you had combined the shot with the burning van flying through the air, with the song you played just after, and ending it with the last "burn" combined with the moment the van hits the ground.
As I just posted, this movie originally aired September 25, 1979. That was the 5th anniversary of the 1st airing of "The California Kid."
Can you do The Ambulance (1990) and Highwaymen?
The car gently smashed into a cop car and it explodes
Guess it was a pinto
In that era of movies and TV any car that even had the most minor of accidents or rolled over immediately exploded multiple times from multiple angles
You can't ...
Dodge this killer.
(I'm sorry).
Nice! :)
Do you hate it when you bump into the car in front of you going 6mph and then your car explodes
You accidentally bonk your elbow on a car door and instant combustion randomly happens.
The Insane Driver Apparently Repainted His, Or Her's Van (We Never Actually See The Driver: So I Can't Assume The Actual Gender) Everytime. The Van Must Be The Work Van Belonging To The Automotive Shop. And The Police Really Need To Lead That Van Right Into A Spike Strip (Have Someone Be The Decoy) Making Sure Van Can't Drive Away, Or Have The Van Chase You, And Then Swerve Out Of The Way Causing The Van To Crash Right Into A Road Blockade Causing The Van To Go Air Born Which In Turn Causing The Van To Explode Into A Fiery Inferno.
I call the van driver a girl,(even though the van driver is stated to be male) but is it wrong to?
If mr beast gave you a Lamborghini that had one owner that was murdered inside the car would you take it
Well sure. It's a free Lambo...I don't care if a gorilla had diarrhea in it.
Hose it out, rip around in it for a week and sell the bitch to the first mofo who shows me some mad $$.
can you notice how the second car seemed to be swerving when I was on the hitch that hitch ain't that long and that's how you know that was act cuz ain't no way that hitch would pull that car it rips up and off
Does anyone know the name of the song that he plays on that cassette?
I just noticed- in one scene the van is grey,in another it's blue- did I miss something??
The dude painted the van several times and swapped the plates to throw off the cops.
No mention of the van constantly changing color?
Cause the killer repainted the Dodge 3 or 4 times during the movie
What is the name for the dodge van (the death car)
I want death car
I need death car
I’ll not be denied death car
I want it now
If I do not receive death car….
there may be SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES!
We’ll just leave it at that for the time being….. Okay.
1.can be any worse than needhams 90s tv movies 2.well needham did directed megaforce with barry bostwick and the biker movie rad
He must really hate women 4:52
Me when I get beat up on the side walk by other adults but I don’t use a van I use a semi
-> 5:19
awesome as always movie vault dude have caught any of my streams yet ?
I thought Dirt 5 looked like fun.
@@TMVarchive yeah one down side about the game no actually rally stages like wtf
Maybe someday I'll have a Saturday off and get to speak to you live.
@@TMVarchive nah man your fine you have a job understandable i have live disable and a check every month your doing better than me lol
Why wasn't anyone stopping that van?
Did The Driver Of The Van Change The Paint On The Van Every Time He, Or She Goes On The Freeway To Cause Trouble???!!!
The killer must have owned a paint & body shop and went killing women on his lunch hour.
I’m agreeing, this truck driver(vans are kinda considered trucks) may have owned a shop at one point, and used her van from said shop to kill.
Hey man sorry I've been trying to catch up
I have this movie lol..
I’m actually curious what happened to my mans channel?
The Movie Vault was terminated by censor bots.
Oh that sucks thanks for telling me what happened
Driving a dodge. Hee hee
0:58 bruh really the music like that and I know it works but really?
5:10
Do some killer cars but new videos
I have an idea for one new KC vid when I get back to editing. You can also check out the "Road to Revenge" review if you haven't seen it.
