@@bobsshortenglishlessonsI know you love working, but considering that you will soon start a busy work schedule with the start of the school season, I think it would be a good idea for you to take a break from summer work and get some rest. ☕📖🛋️👋😎
Hello, Bob. Thank you for choosing my comment and for explaining about your flowers. Last week my father bought a punching bag, I ran out of steam using it. Sometimes running out of steam is not a bad thing, maybe we have anxious energy or something similar, and it really helps to spend that energy. We feel better doing this. Boxing is interesting, Bob. I am learning some skills; maybe you can see me in the next Olympics. 😂🥊😉
I’ve never really heard of ‘to be steamed’. I’m just imagining either someone in a steam room or someone hanging by the neck being steamed like a clothing haha. Good to know the actual one!
Just think about a raging bull and the way it 's pictured in cartoons. He always has steam coming off its nostrils. A raging bull is steamed and through the nostrils it blows its steam off. Take care
Hi, Bob the Canadian. I think I'm running out of steam right now, too. Just got back from a kayak trip today. It wasn't a very long or difficult trip this time (nothing much to write home about), but you know, I'm a guy who remembers steam locomotives... 😮 On the other hand, these memories help me visualize the meaning of today's phrases more vividly. Thank you. Take care.
My son has type one diabetes and he can run out of my steam easily. As a peaceful person, I don’t get steamed easily. By the way, I got some positive news from the oncologist yesterday. Thank you so much Bob for all your inspiring lessons!😊🎉❤
Hi Bob. I totally get how you could run out of steam after a day like that, but I bet once you’re done, that area is going to look fantastic. I’m looking forward to seeing more about the progress you’ve made with the drainage and the entranceway when you’re ready to share it. Take care and don’t forget to rest those muscles!
When I swam across Lake Balaton years ago, I had run out of steam. I barely had the energy to eat dinner, I went to bed straight and I had no energy to close the window despite a serious storm was on its way. It was an exhausting day. Have a nice week!
I think you once said that the bouquets have their own, I think it was a seasonal theme, Bob 😎. So a particular type of flower which is chosen as the base of the bouquet at this time and the other flowers are then placed around it. I think it was when you also mentioned that before Jen told you this, you usually just took a few flowers and put them together in a bouquet 😘. Thanks as always, Bob. Have a great day and enjoy it. Take care. 👨🏫💐💚
Yep. Generally there is a "main event" flower that is used. This means the current popular flower at that time of year. Currently the main even flower in the bouquets are sunflowers. A few weeks ago the main event flowers were peonies! 😎🎩🧢
@@bobsshortenglishlessons Thanks for your explanation and for shedding some (extra) light on it, Bob 😘. I'm happy to hear that I wasn't completely wrong. Have a wonderful day, Bob. Take care and remember to relax a bit. 🏡😴🛋

Hi, Bob✋🏻 Yeah, we all sometimes run out of steam. I for one been running on fumes😁 lately on my very active hike🧗But, who would know better than you, it's a pleasant sort of fatigue 😉I'm looking at your flowers with a slight sadness(summer is wrapping up), time flashes by when you enjoy it. Hi bob,we are in holiday here in Italy, there are 7 days in a row that i go to seaside and for each day i have been swimming for at least an hour ,in the evening i run out of steam. My nephew was steamed beacause i prevented him from shooting us with the water gun😂😂😂😂😂
Our customers (the ones who buy flowers) are mostly women between ages 25 and 65. Some men do buy flowers, but I would say 70% of our customers are women. 😎🎩🧢
In hockey "to chirp" means something a bit more negative. If another player chirps at you it means they are saying mean things about you to try and make you angry. In this situations I simply meant "to chime in" "to add to the conversation". Hopefully you took the more positive meaning! 😎🎩🧢
@@bobsshortenglishlessons oh yeah I figured that out. It’s also similar to chip in/weigh in! Anyways, did you get to run to the post office? I know you’re probably busy with other stuff at the moment, judging by the late replies, but I just wanna make sure you received your gift in good condition.

Hi Bob, as the customers like to see the varieties of flower bouquets evolve throughout the season 💐, has Jen or will she carry out cross-breeding experiments on flowers 🌸 to possibly succeed in creating new varieties or colors among her range of blooms? 🌹😃🪻🌷 Thanks Bob.

I got the idiom to be steamed as a synonime of to be angry.
In fact when you let your anger away you say to blow off some steam.
