Detroit River Fall Walleye Run!!

- We caught about 15 walleyes on the Detroit River. The bite was definitely hot in the morning. The best bite we found was right down river of the Gordie Howe bridge. But most people were drifting in between the Ambassador bridge and the Gordie Howe. We found a "hot zone" where we got multiple bites in just a short area so we made multiple passes in that zone. I think it really helps to make sure you are right on the bottom with your jig. I found my best success only lifting it a few inches above the bottom. We did tip our jigs with minnows which isn't necessary but certainly helps on tough days.
Great trip!!

Vertical jigging is only fun when you're getting them. Nice work boys!
Great Job on the feesch Captain. Just for clarification the Erie fish are coming up the river from lake Erie. Yes always tie on a Pimp Daddy jig when fishing between the bridges.
