I love the outdoors and more specifically fishing! If I could fish 365 days a year I would! I'm currently studying at Michigan State University, majoring in civil engineering. I fish all over the Midwest and enjoy catching a variety of species. But if I had to choose my favorite species to target, I think it would be walleyes.
Lake Michigan Salmon Jigging
Something a little different! Had a great time jigging up some king salmon this past weekend. We had a big cold front move through with some rain which pushed up some fish. We jigged 2 oz jigging spoons and picked off a couple. It definitely was a grind but well worth it for just a couple fish.

Every year it's so sad to leave Red Lake but it makes me look forward to the next year even more. The walleye fishing on Red Lake was amazing for walleyes over 23 inches this yar. This is definitely a trip to Rember with a 45-inch pike and 29.75-inch walleye as the highlights. I can't wait to go back already! Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoyed the series!
Petenwell Lake Walleye Fishing on Fire! (8/16/2024)

We had an awesome day on Petenwell Lake. We caught our limit of walleyes trolling cranks baits on a breakline in 15-20 ft of water. Even tied into some on the cast right before a cold front moved through. It’s great to see that the fishery is still doing great with walleyes!

Went out of North Point 7/31. Fished from 5:30-8:30pm, caught 11 and lost a bunch. 2 steelhead and the rest cohos. Everything was being lit up. A laker hit my highest line with my peanut fly. Dipsy divers 50-60ft down were all popping. Spoons / flys didn’t matter. 185-200ft of water. Stayed in 195ft and had consistent marks and action, not a boat in sight. Surface water temp 75 degrees. Looks like i was two weeks to early. I wasnt the only one saw about 100 plus boats in there labor day weekend. Nice fish, nice job boys. Your rod and net team work was excellent.

I bought some 1 ounce and 3/4 ounce minnow jigs from r and r Fishin hole. As I’m about to go out and do what you’re doing. Do you find the 2 ounce better? What port you use to head out any dock landings that aren’t too busy?
@@TvStrix I tried 1 ounce and couldn’t get anything to go. Not sure what it is about the two ounce but it does seems to work better. All boat ramps will be crowded, just have to get there early enough.

If you'd rather not keep small perch there's tools and procedures to fix barotrauma in fish they basically just need to have they gasses released and then let them rest in the water they will heal and head back down
