Can I make a suggestion that might help with how overwhelming a crowded busy place can be. I have hypersensitivity especially to light and sound. I use ear plugs and tinted glasses when needed. Which is almost everywhere there are people. :) My favorite ear plugs are Etymotic High-Fidelity but I also have Loops and Vibes. They allow you to still hear but remove a lot of the background noise.
Thanks for the suggestions! I'm actually already tried your plugs and they don't really work for me because sound doesn't really bother me. With long Covid and PPPD it's more the like visual part of rich stimuli environments so places like Costco or maybe HomeGoods I have a really long and really crammed full shelves! And that makes me super dizzy and have vertigo! But I'm really excited to start this to be with therapy soon to work on this!!!
We missed 🛍️📚book shopping&book store vlogs . The bookstore is one of the best places to be in colder months , maybe you can upload book shopping video for next months .For me it feels therapeutic hanging out there when I need take e breath ! 👐🏼 Your content brings us such a peace thanks !🍁
Can’t wait for your beginner fantasy recommendations video - one of my goals for 2024 is to read more fantasy (I tend to stick with lit and memoirs) so it will be super helpful!
I love that you thrift books! I’m not sure if my city has some used books stores, I want to look into it! But love the idea of going to value village too
One of my 2024 goals is less screen time and get back into reading! I'd love a video of your recommendations for different genres. I also love a good spicy book but want to try different reads as well
I love how your voice goes higher when you get excited cause me too! I actually read Divine Rivals since you recommended it in another vlog and omg 5/5 for me. So good and I already have second one downloaded from Kindle Unlimited. I love all of your book content and vibes so much! I really just want to say thank you for recommending Divine Rivals cause my book slump is out of here!!!!!❤🎉
I’m so glad you mentioned ACOTAR not being smutty. I totally agree but yet it’s mentioned everywhere as such a spicy book. 😬🤨🤔🧐 I was beginning to wonder if I just missed those parts of the book.
Ok see I'm glad it isn't just me hahah I did not find it spicy and thought I missed the spicy parts... but then again I read dark romance so my smut meter is pretty high LOL
I love Jennifer L. Armentrout’s Blood and Ash series. The prequel Flesh and Fire series is good too! The Witch Collector books by Charissa Weaks are so good and the next book release is in March. All the feels for these books. And anything by SJM. Deborah Harkness’s A Discovery of Witches is very smart. Okay that’s all for now 😊
love this vlog so cozy ❤ do you have a video or anything on ig where you list all your ottawa book store/coffee recs? gonna be visiting family there soon and would love to check some out :)
Carter! I'm watching you while in my walking pad and when you said ACOTAR wasn't smutty I literally tripped. I stopped on book 2 bc it was TOO much for me 😂😅 I love that for you though. Get your spice, I'll enjoy my fluff
HAHAHAH honestly like books I think we all view smutty spicy romance differently. I want the spiciest of the spicy taboo romance books LOL. This made me giggle so thank you queen!!!
I can't really say yet because I just started the first book like I mentioned in the video! But as always I will give my book review on it when I'm done right away on Instagram! But so far I like it :)
Have you read the Ravenhood series?? I feel like that’s the Mafia smut you might be interested in but I could be off.. lol! I’m not actually that much into smut so I kinda glaze over spicy scenes LOL
Sooo excited you started zodiac academy I wanted to recommend them too you but didn’t since you said you didn’t like fae books pls update us on them and if you end up liking them or not
Honestly, I felt like I needed to give fae a second chance haha. Just because I didn't like ACOTAR doesn't mean I won't like any other stories with them. Or at least I'll never know if I never try! And shockingly I'm really enjoying this book!
I totally agree with this! Going to 2024 I'm only going to buy books either used, auto buy authors books I've taken out from the library that are five stars and I want to have in our home library!
I'm buying mostly books I will reread and love. Libby is amazing. When I watch booktubers and hear amazing books, I read and either agree or do not. I'm happy I didn't buy the books when I dislike the book.
Hello, This sounds like Vestibular Neuritis not long Covid, I have the same thing and I was diagnosed in 2016. I can’t go into a Costco without getting dizzy and restaurants are also crazy. Physical Therapy helps alot and I suspect I also have POTS. I hope you feel better and I hope you read this because it really sounds like Vestibular Neuritis.
While I know this comment was well intended and meant kindly, I have been to countless doctors and trust their opinions! I don't think we should try and diagnose people online. Like I mentioned in the video, I have PPPD as a result OF my long-covid and chronic migraines. PPPD is most often diagnosed after a vestibular event (for me it was 3-4 fainting episodes as a result of my long-covid and having chronic migraines for years). So while I understand this comment may have come from a kind place, we shouldn't be telling people what they do or don't have unless we're doctors. For alot of people it can take a long time to mentally accept and understand a diagnosis and it isn't fair to say someone's diagnosis isn't correct (coming from someone who works in healthcare).

I literally squealed when I saw this video! Thanks for taking us along. 🥰
Aw this made my day 🥹❤️
You should go to the 5th in the ACOTAR series then because that one is THE SMUTIEST!! 😳🫣🤭🥵
Honestly I looked up the scenes online since I knew I wasn't going to ever finish the series. It was decently spicy!
I'm about to read this 😍😍
I really liked The Hanging City byCharlie N. Holmberg! Good fantasy read.
Hi! New subscriber here!! Loved this video and totally inspired me to go find used book stores. Thank you so much!

Love that for you!! I also see you got sorcery of thorns!! I hope you love it bc that was the book that started my Margaret Rogerson obsession.
The Mission on Bells Corners has good used books! It’s a lot cheaper than value village. All the books I’ve gotten there have been less than $3 🎉
Yes, I love the mission thrift stores! We had one in our end of town when we still lived in the city!
How good is zodiac academy? I have the first two books and I’ve been eager to read it and now you made me wanna pick it up
I can't really say yet because I just started the first book like I mentioned in the video! But as always I will give my book review on it when I'm done right away on Instagram! But so far I like it :)

Value Village, Mission Thrift Store, Book Market, the Manotick book store & Black Squirrel! I also love FB marketplace for books!
