This is a very solid technique Andrew. I've used it on many projects up through molding and have never had a problem with it. A bit of care needs to be taken when copying or renaming parts but even that works without issues.
Hi Bernie, agree, it is very solid. I'm the same, used it on various commercial projects. It is fine using SW explorer to rename, however I'm on 2017 and understand explorer is no more. Hopefully external references get picked up ok with the new way of renaming.
