completely agree that when people or artists/actors come to america they change, and personally it’s not change in a good way, because some of those people get too comfortable being sexual and showing a lot of skin/sexual parts of the body, because in the west it’s normalised and okay, but idt it should be okay, and that show Euphoria is honestly too much, i rlly don’t get why many people like those shows with a lot of nudity n sex, it gives me no pleasure, in fact it makes me very uncomfortable and puts me in a bad mood haha💀

That's why I drink 2 liters. It tastes funny in a can. I have been a fan since 2016. I can understand people having imaginations of celebrities, but when it leaves your head and starts becoming your reality, that's a problem. I appreciate their talent, visuals, and personalities. But like the definition screams, I don't know these people and it would take a cosmic event for it to ever change. You're right. People need more hugs. 😊

34:58 absolutely they do this. They think they own these people, and they think they can dictate to these companies what they will do for their favorites. It's quite psychopathic.

i think you should definitely do a deep dive on Sasaengs, they’re considered the most crazy fans, in south korea, they literally stalk idols irl, get into their homes etc, so crazy but very interesting

i honestly understand why fans don’t want their idols to smoke and get angry 😅 it is really bad for their health and the fans don’t want their idols to start having lung problems or get too addicted, or destroy their voice, because smoking a lot will end up making ur voice worse (from what i have seen), but if they’re gonna smoke, i think they should hide it much better so no one takes pics because younger fans get so easily influenced these days

i don’t like the role Jennie got in that show, i don’t think it’s rlly “her” and it just feels weird, i don’t get why it’s so tempting for a lot of these girl idols to be more sexual, showing boobs n ass, twerking, dancing sexually 🙄
and i find it disturbing and unprofessional because SOO many kids look at them as role models and they do kinda have an important job to not teach kids to do bad stuff or things that aren’t acceptable, especially as kids, parents can’t always monitor their kids and can’t rly tell them not to listen to kpop or watch the videos:/
but i rly don’t like the script they have in the show, it’s just a bit disgusting, and it’s sexualising woman a lot
it’s literally ONLY about sexual stuff, there is smth weird with hollywood and all of these kind of movies they like to produce…

I also think the companies messed up when they presented these entertainers as attainable. Here in the US, we could really care less who they're with, because they don't sell us on the idea of possibly being with them. It's fine to be sexy or cute, but they have to stop with the fake possibilities. That's what's hurting these crazed fans.

what i used to appreciate with kpop is that none of the idols were like american idols, who swear in songs or talk about sex, stripping, anything like that, because i cld listen to it with my parents and children, but now… can’t listen to a lot, i was rly disappointed in Jungkooks new songs in english even tho they were good, but it’s too much sex stuff tbh, i don’t like singing to that, gives me hollywood vibes.. n im sure that the reason some idols choose that route is because they know they’ll get more fame and views if it’s very westernised and not KPOP because they want more western fans so they have to cater to them and what they prefer, which is songs n videos like that, so i feel like it’s not 100% what they want to b ur they probably feel like they have to, to get far in their career :/ i just hate how america is kind of the country that chooses all trends n stuff, and what is popular

@Uchiha.Itachii I totally agree. I stopped listening to mainstream "american" music in 2015. I started noticing a lack of work behind what was being put out. After a year of no music at all, I found K-pop. It was different. There were messages and meaning to what they put out. Fast forward to now, and I find myself in discovery mode again. Smaller companies are getting my interest because they aren't on that side of the global chase yet. They are happy being seen for what they are doing, not doing just to be seen. And even though I live in America, I'm so glad my Canadian brain doesn't know how to follow trends, music, clothing, or otherwise. I'm 52, and I have no desire to follow anyone.

@@kenyajackson656oh i completely agree, and it sucks, kpop used to be different and exiting, and especially their music videos, america was not on that level, but now so many MV’s are very boring ngl, nothing much happening, like not as much creativity as in the older kpop videos, i miss the kpop in 2018… and ofc years before that too, but in 2018 is when it started blowing up in the west and that’s when everything slowly started to change.. :/

33:40 i think everyone from other cultures notice all that. For example, in America, we don't "stan" anybody. There are no idols, only entertainers. Aegyo I can overlook, as long as they realize it makes them a laughingstock in this market as an entertainer.
